The latest Amaazfit software update has introduced new functions in the Amazfit Cheetah series of smartwatches. The Amazfit Cheetah series now offers a new range of functionality, as with other smartwatches under the Amazfit brand. The new update allows users to essentially adjust their own speed or training plans in an optimal manner.

The regular Amazfit software update for its lineup of smartwatches also includes major and minor bug fixes. The Amazfit Cheetah series of smartwatches now offers a display of the running performance in Watts. The update is an attempt to summarize the running performance of users of the Cheetah smartwatches. Amazfit also says performance measurement is also now available on Garmin smartwatches.

The Cheetah series update now allows users to choose whether to automatically connect to headphones or do it manually. This allows the users to enhance battery life if needed, as deactivating the auto feature conserves energy. Amazfit says the Auto-pause function has also been fixed. It allows the user to briefly pause during running activities. The cadence assistant has also been fixed with the new software update.

The Amazfit Cheetah series offers GPS, a Fitness Tracker, a Heart Rate Monitor, a Sleep Monitor, and a 14-day+ battery life. The models also support Alexa functionality and are designed for workouts, running, marathons, and sports generally. The Amazfit Cheetah series is available on retail platforms like Amazon and is priced starting at $229.

Sensors like an acceleration sensor, gyroscope sensor, geomagnetic sensor, barometric altimeter, and ambient light sensor ensure precise tracking. Bluetooth v5.3 provides reliable connectivity, and it features a circularly polarized GPS antenna with dual-band positioning. Amazfit is reportedly working on new smartwatch series. The brand is expected to launch the Amazfit Cheetah and Amazfit Cheetah Pro. Now tipster Roland Quandt has shared leaked renders of the two smartwatch models on Twitter. The images give us a look at the upcoming offerings. 

Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro leaked renders

The leaked images reveal that the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro will feature a circular dial. Both devices have a rotating crown and a physical button on the right side. The smartwatches will feature a metal unibody. The non-pro model is seen with a silicone strap whereas the pro variant has a fabric band with an Orange-color accent. 

The renders also reveal that the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro will come with various health-monitoring and tracking features such as heart rate and activity tracker. 

Apart from the aforementioned information, the renders do not reveal any additional details. The core specifications of the Amazfit Cheetah and Cheetah Pro remain unknown. We expect to learn more details about the upcoming smartwatches in the near future.
