Appearance

The THL T6 Pro has a similar appearance to the THL T6S. This phone weighs about 150g and has a thickness of 8.2mm. It has a micro SD and two regular-sized SIM card slots. At the back, you will find the camera which is well placed, and below it are an LED flash and THL’s logo. Overall, it looks pretty good.

Display screen

        The THL T6 Pro sports a 5-inch 1280 x 720 OGS display screen with a pixel density of 320ppi. The quality of the screen is so good that even outside in the sunlight with maximum brightness, you can still see the screen clearly.

Performance and benchmark tests

The following are the results for the THL T6 Pro in the Antutu Benchmark test as well as all of its specifications.

The MT6592M octa-core processor is perfectly compatible with the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. Even powerful games like Real Racing 3 can be played without any problems.

Camera 

       The THL T6 Pro’s rear-facing camera works very well. The photos are all very clear with very little noise. Even with little light, the quality is still excellent. With auto-focus, you can also take 8mp photos. I cannot say the same for the 2mp front-facing camera. The LED light also works well.

Conclusion

       Overall, this is a great cellphone to have for those who have never owned a cellphone, although it suffers from a few problems such as limited battery life.

       Huawei has already started sending out invitations to the top media outlets in China for the 2014 Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) where there is a big chance that they will unveil the Ascend Mate 3 to the world for the first time. In the meantime, rumors and news about Huawei’s latest product have been spreading like a wildfire. In fact, information on the Mate 3’s specifications was released by Antutu early this week.

According to Antutu, the Ascend Mate 3 will have a very narrow frame and sport a 6-inch high-definition display screen and a 5mp front camera and 13mp rear camera. It supports 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory space and its processor is HiSilicon’s Kirin 920 octa-core chipset. Its operating system is the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

InFocus releases M810 at the lowest price possible

Today (July 30), InFocus released its new phone as they do every year, the InFocus M810. This device uses the Qualcomm S810 processor (2.5GHz), sports a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display screen, has 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM, and 5mp/13mp camera. It is only 6.9mm thick. Furthermore, in addition to using Taiwan’s LTE network, it also supports CDMA and WCDMA, and so, works with the five main telecommunication operators in Taiwan.

Besides its high specs, the InFocus M810 also boasts a high cost performance ratio. A single phone only costs 9,988 NTD. This phone is set to hit the market on July 31 and will be available in black and gold (the gold version comes out in August).

Sports a sleek metal design with a frame made of aluminium alloy

The InFocus M810 sports an excellent metal design sporting a case made of Gorilla Glass 3 that is covered with anti-fingerprint coating. The rear case is available in black and gold.

The M810 is just 6.99mm thick but because it sports a 5.5-inch screen, it uses a battery that has 2600mAh (undetachable). The phone also uses a frame made of aluminium alloy and the buttons are designed in the way that is similar to Sony’s.

The black version does not let out a very bright flash. Underneath the InFocus logo on the back is an NFC induction zone. Unfortunately, it does not support wireless recharging.

The sides of the phone are made of aluminum alloy and only have a width of 6.99mm.

Right side: These are not SIM card slots. One of them is a microSD memory card slot which can provide up to 64GB.

On the top: Micro USB port, noise-cancelling microphone, and 3.5mm earphone jack.

5mp/13mp camera

The InFocus M810 uses a Sony Exmor R 5mp/13mp dual camera. The main camera has a F2.2 aperture and can cover a 28mm wide angle. It also has a built-in image processing engine from iCatch. The camera has several features including panorama mode, HDR, etc. It can also record 1080p videos.

The rear-facing camera has 13mp and LED flash.

The front camera has 5mp.

It uses Android KitKat

Regarding the InFocus M810’s software, this phone uses the Android 4.4.2 KitKat for its operating system and the InLife UI for its interface. It can be exchanged for a simpler and more feasible mode for the elderly. Furthermore, this phone has a lot of built in functions. Because it uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor (2.5GHz) and has 2GB RAM, it offers excellent performance, scoring 36583 in the Antutu benchmark exam.

The M810 comes with many third-party apps.

If older users find many of the InFocus M810’s functions too complicated, they could change the interface to simple mode which enlarges the interface’s tabs and font.

The new Cube Talk 9X has some pretty impressive specifications, nice design and is a bargain at just under $370. Without further ado, lets have a look what it’s made of.

There’s a Mediatek MTK8392, A7 Octa-core (2.0GHz), a Mali-450 700MHz GPU, the 9X is running Android 4.4.2 (Kitkat). It has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM which is MicroSD expandable to 32GB. It’s a powerful machine with enough memory to run whatever you might want to do with it.

Not surprisingly, the cell phone market has been focusing more on products that support 4G internet. There have been more LTE-supported phones coming out and killing their 3G counterparts in sales, ushering the 4G era.

ZOPO joins the 4G invasion with their new phone, the ZP320. ZOPO has already lowered its price for the foreign market. The ZP320, right now, cost 199.99 USD.

The ZOPO ZP320’s specs are pretty much what you would find in most phones right now. It uses a combination of the MT6582 quad-core processor and the MT6290. It supports FDD-LTE/WCDMA/GSM and only has one Micro SIM slot. It sports a 5-inch IPS display screen with qHD resolution (960 x 540), and has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM which can be expanded. It also has a 2mp/8mp dual-camera and is powered by a 2300 ma battery. Like other MTK 4G phones, the ZP320 uses the Android 4.4.2 kitkat OS.

The ZOPO ZP320 is obviously a 4G elementary-level product that’s aimed at the mid and low-end market considering its average specs.

Xiaomi have once again surprised everybody by announcing their foray into the tablet market with the release of the Mi Pad. An impressive device which seems to be able to compete directly with the iPad, rather than just emulate it. The specs are exciting in themselves, with the inclusion of the NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad-core 2.2GHz processor, a Kepler GPU with 192 CUDA cores, 2GB of RAM and a 7.9 inch 2048 x 1536 resolution display. There are two versions available, one with 16 GB internal memory and one with 32GB, and  this space is expandable to up to 128GB with MicroSD card support. The battery is a Li-Po 6700mAh battery with 11 hours of multimedia usage supported. The operating system is the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. The rear camera is 8MP and the front-facing sensor is 5MP. The tablet itself measures 202 x 135.4 x 8.5mm and weighs 360g. There are numerous colours available; green, blue, pink, yellow, white and grey.

So how much does all this hardware, wrapped up in a beautifully designed shell cost? Surprisingly little if the expectations are to be believed,  just $138USD for the 16GB version and around $170USD for the 64GB. All this is going to happen on July 1st in China, and it remains to be seen whether the Mi Pad is to feature in Xiaomi’s expansion to overseas markets any time soon. With the Mi Pad’s excellent design and specifications, it would surely be well-received wherever it is made available.
