<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/xiaomi">Xiaomi</a> has now released a stable Android 9 TV update for the TV box which originally launched with Android 8.1 TV. The update is over 600MB in size and comes with lots of bug fixes. Below is the full changelog:</p>

<li>Fixed Chromecast not working</li>
<li>Fixed some apps playback freeze</li>
<li>Fixed special H264 decode error</li>
<li>Fixed Bluetooth audio not in sync with the video</li>
<li>Fixed HDMI compatibility</li>
<li>Fixed pop sound when STB is in standby mode</li>
<li>Fixed Gboard not working when connecting an external keyboard</li>
<li>Fixed CEC not working (from build 2603)</li>
<li>Fixed system stability issues after resuming from standby mode (from build 2596)</li>
<li>Support for more Wi-Fi channels in special areas (from build 2596)</li>
</ul>
<p>Sadly, the firmware cannot be applied to the Mi Box, which is currently stuck on Oreo, even though both TV boxes share the same hardware.</p>
