As reported before, a brand of Transsion Holdings, itel, has entered the Android TV market and launched its new G-series Smart TVs in India. The company has brought four models in total and they span across three different sizes- 32,43, and 55-inches. Let’s take a look at their specifications, features, and prices.

itel has brought four Android TVs to the market. The lower-priced ones run Android TV 9 whereas the 43 and 55-inches run Android TV 10. You can take a look at the pricing below:

• itel G4330IE(43-inch, FHD)– ₹28,499

The company hasn’t revealed the complete list of pricing yet but said that the TVs would be available for purchase starting today across offline stores in the country.

itel 32-inch and 43-inch Android TV with model numbers itel G3230IE and itel G4330IE has HD ready and FHD display. These displays have resolutions of 1366×768 and 1920×1080 pixels respectively. They also have a viewing angle of 170°, and have respective contrast ratios of 3000:1 and 4000:1.

In terms of storage, these two TVs have 1GB RAM and 8GB storage each. They run Android TV 9, have I/O like 1xTuner, 2xHDMI, 1xMini AV, 1xUSB, 1xRJ-45, 1×3.5mm jack, 1xOptical

itel G4334IE and itel G5534IE

On the other hand, the itel G4334IE and itel G5534IE come in 43-inch and 53-inches sizes, have a 4K UHD panel with a resolution of 3840*2160 Pixels, and 1300:1 and 1200:1 contrast ratios respectively.

Unlike the above models, these two Android TVs have slightly wider viewing angles(178°). Also, they have 2GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage, run Android TV 10, have 3xHDMI, 2xUSB ports, 1xMini AV & Mini-YPbPr port in addition to the ones mentioned above.

Apart from this, all the four models have some common features like frameless design, 60Hz refresh rate displays, 24W(12*2) speakers with Dolby Audio, Bluetooth remote with Voice control for Google Assistant(Hotkeys for Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube), Play Store, Google Assistant, Chromecast built-in, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Xiaomi has officially introduced Redmi-branded smart televisions in India with the launch of the Redmi Smart TV X series. The lineup includes a total of three models (X65, X55, X50), which only differ in size and not specs. Also, it is worth noting that the products announced in India are different than the original Redmi Smart TV X series that was unveiled in late May 2020 in China.

The newly launched Redmi Smart TV X series in India flaunts a LED-backlit LCD panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K), 85% NTSC color gamut, and 92% DCI-P3 color gamut. The screen also supports Reality Flow (software-based MEMC), Vivid Picture Engine (proprietary color profile), all the popular HDR standards, such as HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision.

As far as size is concerned, like their name suggests, the X65, X55, and X50 feature a 65-inch, 55-inch, and 50-inch display respectively.

Further, these televisions are powered by an unknown 64-bit SoC with a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 CPU and ARM Mali G52 MP2 GPU. They come with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and run Android TV 10 with PatchWall content aggregation launcher.

The TVs support almost all the popular streaming services (25+), Chromecast Built-in, Google Assistant, and even ships with the Mi Home app (for the first time in India) to manage Xiaomi smart products.

On the connectivity front, the televisions come with dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3 x HDMI 2.1 with support for ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and eARC (only one, Dolby Atmos pass-through), 2 x USB 2.0, AV input, 1 x optical, antenna, 3.5mm headphone jack, and ethernet.

Taling about audio, these TVs sport 2 x 15W speakers, which are capable of providing a maximum output rate of 30W. These speakers support Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, and DTS Virtual: X (via OTA update).

Other features of these Redmi televisions include a new remote control (slightly different than Mi TV remote), Quick Wake (boot up in 5 seconds), Quick Settings (long press PatchWall button), Mute (Double-click Volume Down key), Universal Search. Kids Mode, Smart Recommendations, Live TV, User Centre, Celebrity Watchlist, and India’s Top 10.

Last but not least, the cardboard box of the Redmi Smart TV X series can be used to build a DIY bookshelf.

Redmi Smart TV X65 / X55 / X50 India Price and Availability

The Redmi Smart TV X series will go on sale for the first time at 12 PM, March 26 for the following price tags.

• Redmi Smart TV X65 – ₹57,999 ($799)
• Redmi Smart TV X55 – ₹38,999 ($537)
• Redmi Smart TV X50 – ₹32,999 ($455)

These televisions can be purchased from Mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studio stores. For a limited time, customers can avail a flat ₹2,000 discount by using an ICICI Credit Bank credit card. Also, they can save up to ₹1,700 on subscriptions of Zee5, Aha, Hungama Play, and Hoichoi.

The Redmi Smart TV X series will be also available at partner retail stores across India in the near future.

Apart from smartphones, Xiaomi is also known for its value for money smart televisions. The company’s Mi TVs are not only popular in China but also in India. Lately, the firm has been bringing its TVs to more markets. It looks like the company will continue this momentum as a new Mi TV with codename ‘Croods’ has appeared on Google Play Console.

An unknown Xiaomi Mi TV codenamed ‘Croods’ has been spotted by 91Mobiles. The listing reveals the chipset, RAM, screen resolution, and operating system of this television.

First and foremost, the upcoming Mi TV Croods will be powered by MediaTek t31 SoC paired with 2GB RAM. This chipset will consist of 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.2GHz for CPU. As for graphics, it will include an ARM Mali G52 GPU clocked at 550MHz.

The TV screen size is not known but it is said to come with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) and 320 DPI. This suggests the television to be a budget model. Lastly, on the software front, it will run Android TV 10. Also, we can expect Xiaomi to ship this Mi TV with PatchWall content aggregation service.

Although nothing else is known about this forthcoming Mi TV, we can look forward to features like Play Store, Chromecast Built-in, Google Assistant, and support for leading streaming apps since the television is listed to come with Android TV.

As of now, there’s no official announcement from Xiaomi regarding the launch of a new Mi TV in any market. So it is not sure what this television be called and in which regions it will be made available.

Xiaomi India has entered the premium smart TV category with the launch of Mi QLED TV 4K 55. The newly unveiled Mi TV is the company’s first QLED television for the country. Initially, it was thought to be the Mi TV 5 Pro that the brand introduced in China last year. But then, the company itself confirmed that the model launching in India will be different. Let us take a look at the specs, features, and price of this new television.

Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55 Specifications and Features

As the name suggests, the new Xiaomi television flaunts a 55-inch QLED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K), 100% NTSC color gamut, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 96% screen-to-body ratio. The panel supports all the popular HDR standards such as Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. But unfortunately, the display does not come with the local-dimming feature.

Further, the TV also supports RealityFlow (MEMC) and Vivid Picture Engine (proprietary display profile tweak). As an added bonus, the television comes with a metal frame, carbon fiber back, and metal stands. However, the wall mount is sold separately. The regular variant costs ₹499, whereas the swivel version is priced at ₹1,199.

Under the hood, it features the MediaTek MT9611 chipset with the Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. This silicon is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The television’s chassis also includes a 30W 6-speaker system consisting of  4 x full-range speakers and 2 x tweeters. They operate at around 50-20KHz frequency range and support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD.

The TV runs Android TV 10 and therefore, it comes with Google Play Store, Chromecast Built-in, and Google Assistant. Like any other Mi TV, it also ships with PatchWall launcher, a content aggregation service that is currently at v3.4. The minimal Mi TV remote is also included as part of the package.

Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K 55 Pricing and Availability

The Mi QLED TV 4K 55 is priced at ₹54,999 ($748). It can be purchased from Mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Home, Vijay Sales, and other leading retail stores starting December 21.

Customers buying from Flipkart can avail a 10% discount via SBI Credit Card or EMI transaction for a limited time.

Lately, Nokia has been licensing its branding to various firms. The latest company to sign such a deal with the Finnish company is StreamView GmbH. This Austrian company has now become the official Nokia brand licensee to sell smart TVs, set-top boxes, and DAB+ radios in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The first product from this company is called Nokia Streaming Box 8000 manufactured by SEI Robotics. It will be available for purchase before Christmas.

Unfortunately, the amount of RAM is not known at the moment but we expect it to be no less than 2GB.
