A few months later, the brand has now debuted its second product in the segment at the realme GT2 Pro launch event in India. The latest streaming device by the company is officially called ‘realme Smart TV Stick’. Let’s check out how it differs from the previous model.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-large wp-image-453332 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A-1024x683.jpg?x10805" alt="realme Smart TV Stick" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A-1068x713.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A-629x420.jpg 629w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-A.jpg 1076w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<h2><b>realme Smart TV Stick Specifications and Features</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The realme Smart TV Stick looks identical to the realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick. But it comes with watered-down features.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The latest streaming stick from </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">realme</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is limited to 1080p (FHD) streaming at 60fps. For comparison, the original stick can output up to 4K 60fps. Anyway, just like the old model, the new one also has support for HDR10+.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Going by the supported resolution and HDMI 1.4 connector on the new streaming device, we believe that realme is targeting consumers who want to turn their old HD/FHD non-smart televisions into smart.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Further, both the realme-branded streaming sticks are powered by the same chipset. Although the company does not tell the name, it does mention the CPU configuration. This mysterious chip has a quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 CPU. However, the latest product has only 1GB RAM compared to 2GB on the older one.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-453331 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-B.jpg?x10805" alt="realme Smart TV Stick" width="823" height="549" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-B.jpg 823w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-B-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-B-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-B-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/realme-Smart-TV-Stick-Featured-B-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 823px) 100vw, 823px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another notable difference between the two is software. As the name suggests, the original realme TV Stick comes with the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Google-TV/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Google TV</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> interface on top of </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Android-TV/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Android TV 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> operating system. On other hand, the new model lacks Google TV UI but it does have support for all the popular streaming platforms, Chromecast Built-in, and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Google/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Google</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Assistant.</span></p>
<p>Finally, the new streaming stick comes with a MicroUSB port for power input, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0.</p>
<h2><b>realme Smart TV Stick Price and Availability</b></h2>
<p>The realme Smart TV Stick is priced at ₹2,999 in India. In other words, it is ₹1,000 cheaper than the <span style="font-weight: 400;">realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick, which retails at ₹3,999.</span></p>
<p>The streaming device will go on sale starting at 12 PM on April 13. It can be purchased from realme.com, Flipkart, and partner retail stores across the country.</p>

<h2><b>Xiaomi TV Stick 4K Price and Availability</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Xiaomi is yet to reveal the price of its new streaming device. If the company plans to continue selling the Mi TV Stick, then the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K should cost a bit more than that.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If the Chinese tech giant intends to replace the older model, then the newer one could retail at the same price as its predecessor. In other words, it could be priced around $60 or lower.</span></p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-429832 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Nvidia-Shield-TV-2015.png?x10805" alt="Nvidia Shield TV 2015" width="717" height="554" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Nvidia-Shield-TV-2015.png 717w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Nvidia-Shield-TV-2015-300x232.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Nvidia-Shield-TV-2015-696x538.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Nvidia-Shield-TV-2015-544x420.png 544w" sizes="(max-width: 717px) 100vw, 717px" /></p>
<p>The listing, first spotted by <a href="https://twitter.com/AndroidTV_Rumor/status/1468535969766940674">@AndroidTV_Rumor</a>, shows that Google Play Console currently lists all active models of the Shield TV as supporting Android 11 and the associated SDK version 30. The only model currently not listed with Android 11 support is “darcy,” which is likely an error as the same-generation “sif” does have support; these refer to the 2017 generation of Shield TV. “Foster,” the 2015 Shield TV, is also listed with support.</p>
<p>While this support in the Play Console isn’t clear-cut confirmation of Android 11 coming to the entire Shield TV lineup, It does give a hint of legitimacy to rumors floating around about Shield TV preparing for an <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-tv-11/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Android TV 11</a> update closed beta program. If this does go through, it will be a gamechanger for Shield TV owners as it currently operates on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/android-tv-9/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Android TV 9</a>. While for first-generation Shield TV owners, it will mean 6 years of continuous support by Nvidia.</p>
<p>The update will bring features like one-time app permissions, Google Assistant Searchable Apps, Google Play Instant, Auto Low Latency Mode, Switch Access, an improved Gboard TV, Inattentive Sleep, and many more.</p>
<p>There is currently no information available on the potential Android TV 11 update timeline for the Nvidia Shield TV, but stay tuned as we will be keeping an eye on the situation and cover any notable developments.</p>
