AnTuTu has released its top 10 Android sub-flagship smartphone performance rankings for February 2026, based on benchmark data collected using AnTuTu Benchmark V11 between February 1 and February 28. The list shows the best-performing upper mid-range smartphones based on their average benchmark scores.

February did not see many major launches in this segment, but a few new devices still made their way into the ranking. The most notable additions are the Honor Power 2, Redmi Turbo 5, and the OPPO Reno 15 series.

The Honor Power 2 ranks first with an average AnTuTu score of 2,201,537. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite processor. This chipset continues the design used in its predecessor and uses an all Cortex-A725 core architecture. MediaTek has also increased the operating frequency compared to the previous generation, which helps improve overall performance. Another thing that makes this smartphone impressive is its massive 10,080mAh battery, which it manages to fit inside a body that’s just 7.98mm thick. With this configuration, the Honor Power 2 leads the February ranking and stands out as the fastest sub-flagship Android smartphone in the latest benchmark results.

Second place goes to the OPPO Reno 15 Pro, which recorded an average score of 2,113,019. The device is powered by the Dimensity 8400-Max processor. Close behind it is the OPPO Reno 15, which ranks third with an average score of 2,102,547 and uses the same Dimensity 8400-Max chipset.

Another new entry is the Redmi Turbo 5, which takes the fourth position. The phone runs on the Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor and achieved an average score of 2,087,575.

The rest of the ranking includes earlier releases that are still competitive in this segment. The OPPO Reno 14 Pro ranks fifth with a score of 2,080,957. The iQOO Z10 Turbo is sixth with 1,995,751, followed by the Redmi Turbo 4 in seventh with 1,964,441.

The OPPO Reno 14 takes eighth place with 1,614,550. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo ranks ninth with 1,304,873, while the OnePlus Turbo 6V, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, completes the list in tenth place with a score of 1,089,387.

The February rankings show that MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 and 8400 series processors currently dominate the sub-flagship performance category, with several newly launched devices quickly reaching the top positions.

The August Android flagship rankings remain led by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400. Qualcomm’s chip in particular dominates most of the list. The data was collected by AnTuTu between August 1 and August 31, 2025, using only models with more than 1,000 valid scores. The scores shown are averages, which provide a more realistic measure than peak scores advertised by manufacturers.

Top three

Red Magic 10S Pro+ is in first place with an average score of 2,947,567. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition. This version has higher frequencies than the standard Extreme Edition. The prime core runs at 4.47GHz instead of 4.32GHz, and the GPU frequency is increased from 1.1GHz to 1.2GHz. The phone also uses aggressive performance tuning to maximize the chip. It is worth noting that this is the fourth straight month the Red Magic 10S Pro+ has defended its number one position on AnTuTu’s top 10 Android performance charts.

Vivo X200 Ultra comes second with an average score of 2,899,541. It focuses on imaging with a triple-lens setup at 14mm, 35mm and 85mm focal lengths, combined with 2x ISZ coverage at 28mm and 70mm. Despite this focus, it performs strongly in gaming and daily use.

iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ is in third with 2,875,495. It continues the Neo series’ approach of providing peak performance, while being more affordable compared to flagship devices.

What comes next

Qualcomm will launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at its September 23 summit. According to leaks, the chip will use two prime cores at 4.61GHz and six performance cores at 3.63GHz. The Adreno 840 GPU runs at 1.2GHz. Samsung is preparing a higher-binned version with prime cores reaching 4.74GHz for its Galaxy S26 series. Early benchmarks show over 4 million points on AnTuTu v11. The first wave of devices using the 4.61GHz version will come from Xiaomi, Honor, iQOO, OnePlus and Realme.

MediaTek will announce the Dimensity 9500 on September 22. It is built on TSMC’s 3nm process. It has four Cortex-X930 cores, with three running slightly lower, and four Cortex-A730 cores. The GPU is a 12-core Mali-G1 Ultra. The top core may reach 4.00GHz. Geekbench 6 scores are reported at over 3,900 for single-core and above 11,000 for multi-core. It also includes support for ARM’s Scalable Matrix Extension for AI and machine learning tasks. Tests suggest that phones using 1TB UFS 4.1 storage could gain 80,000 to 100,000 extra points in AnTuTu, pushing overall scores above 4 million.

Once again, the Red Magic 10S Pro+ has claimed the top spot with an average score of 2,943,537, marking its third straight month at number one. Its optimized performance tuning allows it to fully leverage the chip’s capabilities.

In second place is the Vivo X200 Ultra, with an average score of 2,893,125. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition. While it focuses on imaging, with lenses at 14mm, 35mm, and 85mm and ISZ support at 28mm and 70mm, its gaming and overall performance are still strong.

Red Magic 10S Pro+ ranked first with an average score of 2,951,251. The phone runs on an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite, which boosts the main core speed to 4.47GHz and increases GPU frequency to 1.2GHz. There are no changes to the processor’s architecture, but the phone uses aggressive performance tuning to get the most out of the chip.

In second place, the Vivo X200 Ultra scored 2,907,396. Known for its camera system with focal lengths of 14mm, 35mm, and 85mm, and software-enhanced ISZ options at 28mm and 70mm, the device caters to mobile photography needs. Despite its imaging focus, the X200 Ultra also delivered strong gaming and system performance.

iQOO Neo 10 Pro+ took third place with 2,891,558. It follows the same design and performance approach as the previous Neo 9 Pro+, offering solid results across performance, design, and camera quality.

Honor GT Pro, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite, performed well but didn’t score as high as others. Most benchmark results came from the 12GB + 256GB model, which brought down the average.

Xiaomi’s XRING O1, which has the company’s first self-developed 3nm chip, was also launched in May on the Xiaomi 15S Pro. Unfortunately, it wasn’t included in the rankings due to not having enough valid test entries. The device will likely be included in June’s results.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ powered devices that were usually seen in the top three if not the first place have been significantly outperformed by their Qualcomm counterparts. The iQOO Neo 9S Pro and the Redmi K70 Ultra Edition powered by the Dimensity 9300+ are both relatively affordable smartphones for the performance they offer.

That said, MediaTek is planning to launch its next-generation Dimensity 9400 in mid-October, with flagship smartphones like the Vivo X200 series or Oppo Find X8 series expected to be the early adopters. As for the performance gains, the Dimensity 9400 is rumored to improve by 30% in single-core performance compared to the Dimensity 9300 and offer “PC-level” ray tracing capabilities.

The OnePlus Ace 3V has been in the number-one spot for 3 months in a row now, followed closely by the Realme GT Neo 6 SE and Redmi K70E. Other than that, we have the Realme GT Neo 5 SE and the Redmi Note 12 Turbo closing off the top 5 with an average AnTuTu score of above a million points. The only new addition to the list is the OPPO K12 5G, which has taken up the number ninth position.

In recent news, the flagship category has experienced a notable change: the Vivo X100s has taken the top spot, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro, which led in March and April, is no longer on the list.

Topping the list this month we have the newly released Vivo X100s, which is rocking MediaTek’s new and improved Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset. This chip is essentially an overclocked version of the regular Dimensity 9300, along with improved AI capabilities like support for various LLMs including Google’s Gemini Nano and Meta’s Llama 2 and 3. At number two, we have the Oppo Find X7 featuring the Dimensity 9300, and on number 3, we have the first entry from the Qualcomm camp, the Red Magic 9 Pro+, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. An interesting entry is the iQOO Neo 9S Pro at number six. Devices from iQOO’s Neo series are generally aimed at mid-range gamers rather than being flagship models, but the inclusion of a Dimensity 9300+ chip in this device has earned it a spot on the list.

Despite all this, April’s champion, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, is missing from the list. It’s also notable that the scores for all these devices are quite close, so this coming month’s rankings could look different from last month’s.

The recent rankings for flagship Android smartphones in April are out, and once again, the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has clinched the top spot for the second month running. What’s noteworthy is how closely contested the competition has become, with just a 100,000-point difference separating the first and last positions. While this difference might seem significant, it’s worth noting that all these devices have scored over 2 million points, making the gap around 5%.

In the recent rankings, phones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip take the top four spots. Interestingly enough, the recently launched Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has also made it on the list, capturing the fourth position and likely the title of the most powerful foldable smartphone currently on the market.

The Vivo X100 Pro, which runs on the Dimensity 9300, is close behind in the fifth spot, trailing the ROG Phone 8 Pro by 64,223 points. It’s worth noting that only three devices on the list use the Dimensity 9300 chipset, while the rest feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. This indicates that many OEMs still hesitate to include a MediaTek chip in their flagship smartphones.

However, on May 7, Vivo plans to launch another flagship-tier smartphone called the Vivo X100s. This new phone will come with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset, which is shown to cross 2.3 million points on AnTuTu.

In February, the Dimensity 9300-clad Oppo Find X7 beat out the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro in terms of performance. However, it looks like the ROG Phone 8 Pro has received some turning, which has finally landed it on top of the AnTuTu charts for March 2024. The ROG Phone 8 Pro was launched back in January featuring the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship SoC. It has scored 2,141,448 on the benchmark.

That being said, the OPPO Find X7 with 2,138,119 points is still hot on its heels with a difference of just 3,329. What this means is that both the Dimensity 9300 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips are on par with each other in performance, which is quite good for competition in the industry. It will be interesting to see what MediaTek and Qualcomm have in store for us with their next-gen chips. Reports have claimed that both the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and the Dimensity 9400 chips are outperforming Apple’s A18 Pro in multi-core tests.

Moving on, the iQOO 12 is in the third position, while Nubia’s Red Magic 9 Pro+ gaming smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC is in the fourth spot with 2,098,269. It trails the ROG Phone 8 Pro by 43,179 points. The Vivo X100 Pro featuring a Dimensity 9300 rounds up the top 5. While the sixth to tenth spots are occupied by the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, iQOO 12 Pro, Vivo X100, Nubia Z60 Ultra, and the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. At the end of every month, the popular smartphone performance benchmarking platform AnTuTu publishes its list of top-performing devices for that month. In this article, we will be taking a look at the best devices in the flagship-killer category for March 2024.

This previous month, the OnePlus Ace 3V has taken the top spot dethroning the Dimensity 8300 Ultra-clad Redmi K70E, which had dominated the flagship killer rankings since its release in November 2023. The Redmi K70E now sits at the number 2 spot with 1,391,125 points, while the OnePlus Ace 3V with 1,466,728 points has a comfortable 75,063 point lead over it.

The OnePlus Ace 3V comes with the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip which has the same CPU architecture as the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Qualcomm claimed that this new processor offers 15 percent better CPU and 45 percent better GPU performance, which is apparent if we look at the third-place Realme GT Neo 5 SE (1,156,867), which uses the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip. In the CPU and GPU test results, the Ace 3V scored 374,329 points and 490,115 points respectively, compared to 333,948 and 339,934 points scored by the Realme GT Neo 5 SE.

Continuing down the list, we find the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and the OPPO Reno 11 5G rounding out the top 5, followed by the iQOO Neo 7 SE, iQOO Z8, Redmi Note 12T Pro, and the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition occupying the 6th through 9th positions. At number 10, we have an interesting addition with the Honor 100, featuring a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. With a respectable score of 836,504 points, it rounds up AnTuTu’s top 10 flagship killer smartphones list for March 2024.

AnTuTu’s latest report for February 2024 has just rolled out, showing us the top-performing “flagship killer” smartphones. We have separately covered the flagship tier, which the Oppo Find X7 leads.

Again, at the top of the flagship killer list is the Redmi K70E. It’s been leading since its first appearance in December 2023, and this month, it scored 1,405,360 points, staying well ahead of the competition.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoCs have long dominated the Android smartphone performance rankings, but MediaTek’s rapid advancements, especially with its Dimensity 9000 series, have leveled the playing field. The latest high-end chipsets from each — Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300 — are virtually tied in performance.

For the second consecutive month, the Dimensity 9300 chip powers the top-performing smartphone, the Oppo Find X7, according to AnTuTu benchmarks. With a score of 2,195,036, it edges out its rivals. The Dimensity 9300’s edge could be its use of ARM’s powerful cores, specifically 4 x Cortex-X4 and 4 x Cortex-A720 cores.

The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, comes in as a close second. The performance difference between the top two phones is just 37,000 points, which is a small margin in the flagship category. Asus typically releases ‘D’ variants of its ROG Phones with MediaTek chips a few months after the initial launch. The possible pairing of the gaming-focused hardware in the ROG Phone and the Dimensity 9300 in the upcoming release might add some interesting changes to the leaderboard.

OnePlus 12, which launched in the first week of December has taken the first spot with 2,188,135 points. While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip is the reason for its amazing performance, it is also worth mentioning that the smartphone has a massive 9,140mm² vapor chamber cooling system built into it to keep the temperatures in check, giving the CPU more headroom to push harder.

Trailing by just 2116 points is the Vivo X100, which was in the same position last month as well against the Red Magic 9 Pro+. This Dimensity 9300-powered smartphone is a fresh breath of air for many as it signifies that the two major players in the smartphone SoC arena are almost neck and neck when it comes to performance. We expect to see more MediaTek Dimensity-powered flagships to launch in the future.

A standout on the list is the iQOO Neo 9 Pro at number 3, not being a flagship with its $419 price tag. Still, it holds its ground with an average score of 2,181,443 points, courtesy of the Diemsnity 9300 chip. This device is likely to attract customers seeking a budget-friendly gaming option.

Speaking of gaming, the gaming flagship Red Magic 9 Pro+ which was number 1 last month has slid down to number 6. This is likely because its performance has dipped by around 40,000 points compared to last month.

The Realme GT Neo 5 SE has retained its status as the mid-range performance king for the second month. It is followed closely by the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Both of these devices use the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, which has been quite a rare sight on smartphones. Oppo’s recently launched Reno 11 5G has taken the third spot, with a score of 1,021,724 points.

The next three entries on the list, namely the iQOO Z8, the iQOO Neo 7SE, and the Vivo S17 Pro are all powered by the Dimensity 8200 chip. The remaining four smartphones are powered by Dimensity 8200 Ultra and the 8100 Max chips.

So by the looks of it, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip still appears to be dominating the mid-range segment in terms of performance. However, that might change soon a new generation of devices equipped with the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Dimensity 8300 chips are beginning to arrive in the market. It comes as no surprise that the recently launched Red Magic 9 Pro+ has taken the performance crown with 2,188,631 points since performance is kind of the bread and butter of the brand. The phone comes equipped with the beefiest cooling system on the list that gives more headroom to squeeze out more performance without throttling due to heat.

That being said, the most surprising thing on this list is the Dimensity 9300 clad Vivo X100 capturing the second spot with 2,184,153 points. The difference between it and the X100 and the Red Magic 9 Pro+ is just around 4500 points, which people familiar with the AnTuTu benchmark know is almost nothing. It makes us wonder if Red Magic decided to release a Dimensity 9300 version of the Red Magic 9 series device, what the performance on it be like.

Moving on to the third position, the iQOO 12 has also shown impressive performance achieving an average of 2,174,484 points. iQOO is also known for making performance-oriented devices with top-notch cooling systems so it is no surprise that the device can push the processor to its limits without running into heating issues.

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, previously holding the top two positions last month, have now surpassed the 2 million point mark this month. While this marks an improvement from their performance in the previous month, they have now slid down to the 6th and 7th positions. The enhanced performance is likely attributed to refinements, possibly overlooked in the rush to claim the title of the first smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. We can expect the performance to improve even more in the coming days.

The last three positions are currently occupied by the iQOO 11S, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, and the Vivo X90 Pro+, all of which use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. With the launch of the OnePlus 12 and other flagships on the horizon, we can expect a couple of these devices to vanish from the December top 10 list.

Speaking of the OnePlus 12, the brand boldly declares that the device could hit an impressive 2,333,033 points, placing it in the running for the AnTuTu performance crown. The real standout here is clearly the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is doing most of the hard work. What’s intriguing is that all the phones in the top 10 list are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, including the iQOO 11S, which is in second place with just a 3,342-point difference, achieving a score of 1,648,735 points. Following that, we have devices like the RedMagic 8S Pro+,iQOO 11, Vivo X90 Pro+, OnePlus 11, Realme GT5, iQOO 11, Vivo X Fold 2, and Oppo Find X6 Pro.

What’s interesting is that the recently launched Redmi K60 Ultra is nowhere to be found on this list. This device launched in August with the latest Dimensity 9200+ chipset, boasting a self-proclaimed AnTuTu score of 1,774,714 points. Maybe the device will be featured in the next month’s list. AnTuTu has just released a new list of top Android smartphones for the month of January 2021. This list is based on user ratings of Android handsets, and is led by the Meizu 17 Pro, followed closely by the Huawei Mate 40 and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.

The rankings from the known benchmarking based platform arrives based on user ratings of Android smartphones. In other words, the rankings are also based on customer satisfaction of a handset. This implies that the devices on the list are present due to the high ratings received from numerous users. These phones also meet customers needs in most scenarios as well and are basically the ones that have been very positively received by the Chinese market.

Earlier this month, the list went live with the Meizu 17 Pro leading the rankings. Since its release, the device has received various OTA updates that have added various new features, which is likely what led to its high user ratings overall, which reached 97.93 percent. Under the hood, the device sports last year’s flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, with LPPDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device has been built with design in mind rather than performance, although, its hardware is still quite capable.

The other top three rankings had the Huawei Mate 40 arrive in second, with a 97.89 percent user rating. With the release of another wave of Snapdragon 865 models, new changes have taken place in the top 10 flagship list for April. The iQOO Neo 3 and OPPO Ace 2 entered the top 10 rankings and edged the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Black Shark 3 Out of the list.

OPPO Find X2 Pro still occupies the number one spot and for the second month running with an average score of 607147 points. The Find X2 moved into the second spot, edging the Mi 10 Pro. The Find X2 rise in ranking may be related to the further improvement of stability after the firmware update.

At the third spot, is the new entrant – iQOO Neo3 while the Mi 10 Pro is now ranked at the fourth spot.  The 5th-10th places are occupied by the OPPO Ace 2, Redmi K30 Pro, iQOO 3, Realme X50 Pro, Vivo NEX 3S, and Black Shark 3 Pro in that order.

Antutu noted that smartphones with a higher screen refresh rate (90/120Hz or higher) and faster flash memory (UFS 3.1 or UFS 3.0 with Turbo Write enabled) will perform better than smartphones without these upgrades even though they both run on the same mobile platform. Also, software optimisation is still another important aspect which perhaps explains why the Blackshark 3 Pro is at the bottom of the ladder despite packing a powerful hardware configuration including a heat dissipation system.

Top benchmarking outfit AnTuTu has released a list of its top 10 highest performing smartphones for the mnt of February 2018. The list is based on models which scored the highest points on AnTuTu benchmark as at February this year. This is the second ranking that would be released by the benchmarking tool since the upgrade of its software version from V6.3.6 to v7.0.1. The first was released last month and it covers January 2018. There is n’t so much change from the list of top 10 highest performing models for January. Also, it should be noted that the ranking is only for Android smartphones and does not include iOS-powered Apple models. 

Somehow, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro vacates the top spot for the Mate 10. Both models are powered by the Kirin 970-chip. The Mate 10 had a score of 214750 while the Mate 10 Pro is listed with 214707 which is relatively close. Standing at the third spot is the Huawei Honor View 10 with a score of 213,758. OnePlus 5 is the first Snapdragon 835 smartphone on the list, sitting at number 4 spot with 211210 points. The OP5 is followed by the OnePlus 5T which scored 211029 points when it was benchmarked on AnTuTu. ZTE’s Nubia Z17 occupies the number 6 spot with 208654 points. Nubia Z17s enters the ranking new, perhaps the model’s benchmark score wasn’t available last month since it isn’t a new smartphone. The Z17s edges the Xiaomi Mi 6 to occupy the seventh spot with a score of 207502 points.

Two Xiaomi flagship models are on the list, the Mi 6 and Mi Mix 2. Both models occupy the 8th and 9th spots respectively. While the Galaxy Note 8 completes the top 10 ranking with a score of 203260 points. Samsung Galaxy S8+ was on the top 10 for January but the entrance of the Nubia Z17s edged the Samsung model out of the list. Since some Snapdragon 845 models like the Galaxy S9 have already been launched and more will be announced later this month, we expect a complete overhaul of the list in March.

Popular benchmarking website AnTuTu.com has released its top 10 charts of most popular smartphones for 2017. Last year was a very busy one for the industry and a remarkable one at that because it heralded the proliferation of full-screen smartphones right from the flagship models to budget phones.

The top 10 chart is comprised of the most popular Android smartphones based on fans’ rating in China. The most spectacular aspect is that three OnePlus models are among the 10 listed smartphone models. OnePlus 5 emerged as the number one most popular smartphone in 2017 based on AnTuTu rating with a 95.37% score. The second spot is occupied by OnePlus’ 2016 model, OnePlus 3 with a 94.28% rating. Th third spot is occupied by the flagship MeizuPro 6 Plus, one of Meizu’s most popular products till date. The fourth spot is occupied by yet another OnePlus model, the OP 3T which was also released in 2016. Xiaomi joins the list at the fifth spot with the phablet Mi Max. Three other Xiaomi models were also on the list, the Remi Note 3 at the 7th spot, Mi 6 at number 9 and the Redmi 4 completes the list at number 10.

Samsung didn’t perform excellently in China last and that is reflected in the ranking as the popular Galaxy S8 was only able to hop into the list at number 6 spot. The large size Galaxy S8+ came in at the 8th spot but the Galaxy Note 8 was nowhere to be found. In all, Xiaomi and OnePlus are the biggest winners as they both have the highest number of models that are fans favorites.

AnTuTu has once again released it top 10 best cost effective smartphones for the month of April 2017. The list is composed of smartphone models (Chinese brand) which provide the best value for your money and comes with an affordable price tag. In clear terms, the formula used in compiling the list is the price ratio of the model which is calculated by its processor’s AnTuTu benchmark average score divided by the current price on Jingdong and the brand’s official sales channel. The data were collected from April 1 to April 31st and the model’s sales were all over 1000 units.

The ranking for April 2017 sees a major change from that of the previous month as many models which were on the list in March have been toppled by new entrants. However, the ZUK Z2 (4GB  64GB) still continues to top the chart at the least for the third straight consecutive month. Sadly, the ZUK Z2 will be the last of the ZUK smartphones we’ll be seeing but for a Snapdragon 820-powered smartphone, the Z2’s continues to offer great value for its price which is very much affordable at 1299 Yuan ($188).

The second spot is occupied by a new entrant, the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual (3GB + 32GB) which is one of the products of the collaboration between LeEco and Coolpad. The Cool 1 is closely followed in the third position by the Coolpad Cool 1C (3GB+32GB) which is different from the Cool 1 Dual just in the dual camera which the Cool 1 dual packs. Both Coolpad smartphones feature the Snapdragon 652 chip and are priced at 899 Yuan (~$130).

LeEco, known for cheap flagships retains a couple of places on the chart, with the LeEco Le 2 Jazz Edition at the fourth spot and the Le Pro 3 at the fifth. Lenovo’s ZUK Z2 Pro and the ZUK Edge were the sixth and seventh-most cost effective smartphones in China for April 2017. This no surprise due to the fact that Lenovo recently slashed the prices of the ZUK models. After all, the line is going to be shut down completely and would subsequently fall under the Moto brand name.

It may surprise you to know that the Xiaomi Mi 6 which just went on sale towards the end of April made it up the chart at number nine. Xiaomi’s first dual camera phone, the Redmi Pro also appears on the chart at number 8. The list is completed by the Mi 5S Plus which sits at number 10 to completes the top 10 chart. Notice the high numbers of dual camera phones on the chart? Perhaps, that is a reflection of the growing trend.

AnTuTu has released its top 10 most value for money smartphones which topped the chart in the month of March 2017. The list is only a little different from that of February, with a few new entrants to the chart. The chart is made mostly of flagships that have been in the market for a while.

The top 3 spot is still inhabited by the same models from last month, that is the Lenovo ZUK Z2, The LeEco Le Max 2 and Le 2 in the same order. It is really no surprise that the Lenovo ZUK Z2 still tops the chart as it still offers flagship specs at a budget price tag. The ZUK Z2 (3GB + 32GB) which is equipped with Snapdragon 820 processor is currently priced at 1199 Yuan. This price tag makes it the cheapest flagship and arguably offers the best value for your money. The ZUK Z2 is closely followed by the LeEco Le Max 2 (4GB + 32GB) which is priced at 1399 Yuan. The third position is occupied by the LeEco Le 2 (3GB + 32GB) whose price has further dropped to 899 Yuan.

The LeEco Le S3 is a new entrant, pushing the Le Pro 3 out of the fourth spot to the fifth. The Le Pro 3 may have dropped to the fifth position because of the 100 Yuan increase in its price tag which now sits at 1899 Yuan. With a Snapdragon 821 processor + 4GB RAM, the price is still a bargain.

The rest of the list is made up of the Xiaomi Mi 5 at the sixth spot while the Snapdragon 821-powered Smartisan M1 is at number 7. LeEco and Coolpad’s collaborative work, Cool1 Dual occupies the number 8 position. At number 9 is the Smartisan M1L packing a Snapdragon 821 chip and finally, the Xiaomi Mi Note 4 completes the top 10 chart.

AnTuTu has released a rundown of the top 10 smartphones which provided the most value for money as at February 28, 2017. The ranking is based on the prices of the smartphones between February 1 and February 28, but this is restricted to Chinese brands.

When compared to the data obtained in the past two months, the recent data is said to have witnessed a decline in the overall cost-effective ratio. This means consumers got less value for their money from the smartphones which topped the chart in February than they did in the previous two months.

The price ratio is based on the average AnTuTu score of the smartphone divided by its current price. The current price used is the smartphone’s price listed on Jingdong. Also, smartphones usually come in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB versions. Since the price of a model depends on its specific storage version, the storage version which made it up into the list is specifically stated.

Top on the list is the Lenovo ZUK Z2 (3GB + 32GB version) which is equipped with Snapdragon 820 processor and is currently priced at 1199 Yuan. This price tag makes it the cheapest flagship and arguably offers the best value for your money. The ZUK Z2 is closely followed by the LeEco Le Max 2 (4GB + 32GB) which seems to have gotten a price reduction in February. The third position is occupied by the LeEco Le 2 (3GB + 32GB) which is priced at 999 Yuan. Another LeEco smartphone also comes in at the fourth position, this time the LeEco Le Pro 3 (4GB + 32GB) which clutches a 1899 Yuan price tag. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (3GB + 64GB) with a price tag of 1199 Yuan also made it into the list at the tenth spot.

AnTuTu’s top 10 list of best-performing smartphones in various categories have been released and it covers smartphone brands from around the world and the domestic Chinese brand. The chart is based on the average performance of the smartphones in benchmark tests and the list contains a few new entrants but on the whole several others retain their position. Benchmark test performance is predicated mostly on the processor the smartphone packs and in this case, the Snapdragon 821 continues to dominate.

Of course, there are no major surprises as we are yet to see a chipset which squares up to the Apple A10 chip. Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chip and Samsung’s Exynos 8895 would likely trump the Apple flagship chip but they are yet to find their way into smartphones, at least not anyone in the market.

On the overall performance, the Apple iPhone 7 Plus powered by the A10 chip maintain its top position for several months running now. It is closely followed by the iPhone 7 which has a slightly lower clock speed on its chip than the 7 Plus. The iPhone 7 Plus also happens to be Apple’s most powerful smartphone at present. At the number 3 position is the Snapdragon 821-powered OnePlus 3T and at number four is the SD 821-powered LeEco Le Pro 3. Smartisan released the Hammer M1L late last year with a Snapdragon 821 chip inside and it occupies the fifth spot.

The 6th to 10th position is occupied by Lenovo ZUK Edge, OnePlus 3, Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus, Mi 5S and Mi Note 2 in that order. It is worthy of note that all five smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 821 but with different clock frequency, hence the varying AnTuTu benchmark score. On the whole, only the Apple iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 use a different chipset other than Snapdragon 821 processor.

All eight smartphones are Chinese brands and so occupy the top eight spot in the top 10 domestic brands category. The remaining two slots are occupied by the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Vivo Xplay 6 respectively. Both the Mi 5 and XPlay 6 are powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset. As a parting shot, it is noticed that none of Samsung’s smartphones made it up the ladder into the top 10 and that is a curious scenario. Do you know why?
