<p>At present, Magic Keyboard has the logo placed on its back in landscape, so there&#8217;s a high probability that Apple may simply want to bring the ‌iPad Pro‌ in more sync with its accessories. What corroborates this is the change of orientation of the startup Apple logo shown on <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/ipados-15/">iPadOS</a> to the landscape mode. There are already multiple devices from brands that promote landscape orientation and Apple may want to promote the same as well.</p>
<p>While Apple recently updated its iPad Pro with the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/apple-m1/">M1</a> chip in April, there hasn&#8217;t been a significant redesign since 2018. Bloomberg has reported that the next-gen ‌iPad Pro‌ will feature a glass back that could enable reverse wireless charging for other Apple devices as well as wireless charging for the ‌iPad Pro‌ itself.</p>
<p>Apple is already on the track of blurring lines between <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/apple-ipad/">iPad</a> and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/apple-macbook/">MacBooks</a> with the introduction of the M1 chip to iPad Pro which was initially designed for macs. Apple is also reportedly exploring bigger display size options on iPads.</p>

<p>The news arrives from a tweet from <a href="https://twitter.com/FrontTron/status/1434875127313801225" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>FrontTron</em></a>, who found a post on <a href="https://www.clien.net/service/board/park/16474940" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Clien </em></a>that stated that the Galaxy S8 Ultra will be powered by the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/exynos-2200/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Exynos 2200</a> SoC. This new chip is the South Korean tech giant&#8217;s latest mobile processor that was built with a new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amd/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AMD</a> GPU. Furthermore, benchmark results have reportedly found that the performance of this new chipset will be similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-m1-chip/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">M1 chip</a> from Apple, which can also be found in the new iPad Pro model as well.</p>
<p>As per <a href="https://www.phonearena.com/news/samsung-galaxy-tab-s8-ultra-to-compete-with-m1-ipad-pro_id134812" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>PhoneArena</em></a>, <a href="https://blog.naver.com/yeux1122/222497055209" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">another report</a> has also found that the new flagship tablet will sport Samsung&#8217;s best display and other top of the line specs and features. Although, this source believes that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S8 lineup will be powered by a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/qualcomm-snapdragon-898/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 </a>processor. So, it is still unclear which chip the company will use in the tablets. However, it is speculated that the brand will follow its traditional flagship handset approach with a Snapdragon chip for the North American and Chinese market, while the rest of the regions receive an Exynos variant.</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-385382 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image.png?x44794" alt="Apple iPad Pro" width="817" height="435" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image.png 817w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-300x160.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-768x409.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-696x371.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-789x420.png 789w" sizes="(max-width: 817px) 100vw, 817px" /></p>
<p>However, this is not the case for the 11-inch model as some configurations of the tablet are available for delivery by the end of this month.</p>
<p>The reason behind delayed shipments of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-ipad-pro-12-9-2021/">Apple iPad Pro 2021</a> with a 12.9-inch display seems to the suppliers of the panel reportedly facing yield issues for the production. On top of that, the industry is also facing a global chip shortage and it seems that the issues could last into next year.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s likely that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/ipad">iPad</a> Pro is facing these issues given that the device was launched in April this year and the shipment estimates are for July this year, underscoring the supply chain and production issues faced by the company.</p>
<p>The same is the case with the new iMac 2021 as many configurations are showing shipments for mid-to-late June in the United States while the four-pack of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-airtag">Apple AirTag</a> will be arriving in mid-June.</p>

<p>Remember the M1? The powerful chip designed for Mac was first announced last year and found its way into the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/10/apple-announces-new-macbook-air-and-macbook-13-pro-with-apple-m1-chipset/">MacBook Air and MacBook 13 Pro</a>. The chipset is a powerhouse CPU packing an innovative design and performance. The processor is said to bring up to 50% improvement in performance compared to the A12Z. The GPU performance is also bumped up by 40%. The processor is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and you can get up to 2TB of storage on the tablet.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-1.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-385383" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-1.png?x44794" alt="iPad Pro 12.9" width="862" height="490" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-1.png 862w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-1-300x171.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-1-768x437.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-1-696x396.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/image-1-739x420.png 739w" sizes="(max-width: 862px) 100vw, 862px" /></a></p>
<p>In terms of the display, the iPad Pro 2021 is available in two screen sizes; an 11-inch model that utilizes an LCD display and a 12.9-inch model equipped with a mini-LED screen which Apple calls Liquid Retina XDR display. The mini-LED screen has a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and 1,000 nits full-screen brightness. It also features support for HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG imaging formats.</p>
<p>On the other hand, the LCD screen manages a peak brightness of 600 nits. The screen retans support for True Tone and features the DCI-P3 color gamut. The two displays come with a 120Hz refresh rate which Apple calls ProMotion.</p>
<p>Further, connectivity is improved on the iPad Pro 2021 models as they now support 5G connectivity. This is the first time Apple is releasing its tablet with 5G support. The 5G variants features an eSIM.</p>

<p>For photography, the slate packs a 12MP TrueDepth camera as well as an ultrawide-angle lens with 122º field of view up front. The wide FOV enables a feature which Apple calls Center Stage. Ho this works is that the tablet can zoom in and pan to keep the subject in the centre of the frame when in a video call. Also, if there are two subjects, it will zoom out to keep both subjects at the centre of the frame. The rear aspect features a dual camera setup which is a 12MP main sensor and a 10MP ultrawide sensor. There is also a LiDAR scanner that helps with autofocus in low-light. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ipad-pro.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-385420" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ipad-pro.png?x44794" alt="" width="723" height="234" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ipad-pro.png 723w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ipad-pro-300x97.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/ipad-pro-696x225.png 696w" sizes="(max-width: 723px) 100vw, 723px" /></a></p>

Now, a new report has surfaced online, shedding light on its performance capabilities.</p>
<p>The upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2021 is expected to be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/11/apple-iphone-12-a14-bionic-40-increase-cpu-performance-over-a13/">Apple A14 chipset</a> which powers the company&#8217;s new iPhone 12 series. The chipset, made using the 5nm process, will be a major improvement over the A12Z Bionic powering current iPad Pro.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-373856 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak.jpeg?x44794" alt="Apple iPad Pro 2021 Leak" width="1200" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak.jpeg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-696x464.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-1068x712.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-630x420.jpeg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>Now, Mark Gurman claims (<a href="https://www.phonearena.com/news/2021-ipad-pro-chip-could-be-as-powerful-as-apple-m1_id130412">via PhoneArena</a>) that the new iPad Pro will exceed the expectations in terms of performance with the A14 chipset. The report suggests that the device will be as powerful as the <a href="https://geni.us/mac-m1">M1-powered Apple Mac</a> devices.</p>
<p>In terms of design, the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-ipad-pro">iPad Pro</a> is expected to look similar to the current models. But, there&#8217;s a possibility that the device may be a bit thicker if the company opts to offer a Mini-LED display with improved brightness and better contrast ratios.</p>
<p>It is also being said that the upcoming tablet will come with support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g">5G connectivity</a> with Sub-6GHz and mmWave networks. Along with this, we are also expecting better camera performance.</p>
<p>As noted above, the new Apple iPad Pro 2021 is expected to go official this month but so far, there&#8217;s no such confirmation or indication from the Cupertino-based giant.</p>
