Apple iPhone 12 receives a big CNY 2,000(~$310) Price Cut in China

It is an ongoing trend to lower the price of a smartphone just before the arrival of its successor. This is done to clear the stocks of the existing products in order to bring new devices to the market. Similarly, Apple every year slashes the prices of its current-gen iPhones days before the arrival of its next iteration. This year, Apple has lowered the price of its iPhone 12 in greet of its successor Apple iPhone 13.

Reportedly, Apple has slashed the price of its iPhone 12 in China. Earlier, the Apple iPhone 12 128GB variant was retailing for CNY 6,799(~$1,054) in the region. Now, the phone has received a huge price cut of CNY 2,000(~$310), making its current retail price – CNY 4799(~$744). This is a big price cut and a great opportunity for those who were willing to purchase the iPhone 12.

Apart from this, the upcoming iPhone 13 is touted to come at a similar launch price as the iPhone 12. However, the phone will introduce a higher 1TB storage option rumored to be priced way over $2,000.

This year, Apple will launch four iPhone models – the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The phones will feature a 6.1-inch display, a 5.1-inch panel, again a 6.1-inch display, and lastly a 6.7-inch screen respectively. The series is expected to come powered by Apple’s A15 chipset and will have 4GB RAM in the vanilla and Mini models and 6GB RAM in the Pro models.

Apple is yet to reveal the exact launch date of the iPhone 13 series but rumors have it that the phones may launch on September 14 globally and will go on pre-orders from September 17.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro may not come with a 256GB storage variant

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 13 series this month and as the release gets closer, we’ve more leaks on our way. One fresh piece of information about the iPhone 13 Pro series has just emerged and it reveals that Apple won’t launch a 256GB storage variant for the Pro models.

Apple is infamous for cutting on a mid-storage variant just to let users spend extra cash to opt for a higher version. Earlier, we’ve seen Apple offering as low as 16GB of base storage variant followed by a 64GB variant, by skipping the mid 32GB storage variant. Similarly, Apple offered a 32GB base storage variant with the iPhone 7 and skipped the mid 64GB variant(which was supposed to be the most suitable storage space) and directly jumped to the 128GB storage variant.

The same was the case with the rest of the models from Apple every year. Now, Apple is touted to offer a 128GB base storage variant with the iPhone 13 Pro and then directly offer the 512GB storage variant. Yet again, the most suitable 256GB storage variant will be skipped by Apple. This forces users to buy the higher 512GB storage variant even though the need for some users would be sufficed by a 256GB storage variant.

Nonetheless, Apple will also bring 1TB storage variants with the Pro models. The iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 will start with a base 64GB storage variant, 128GB storage variant, and 256GB storage variant. The non-Pro variants will have bumped up 4GB of RAM, whereas, the Pros will get 6GB of RAM.

Apple iPhone 13 series to go on pre-orders from September 17th, entire launch timeline leaked!

Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone 13 series sometime in September this year. However, the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed by the company. Now, ahead of any announcements, the series’ launch timeline has been allegedly revealed.

According to IT Home, the iPhone 13 series is already listed on an e-commerce website in China. The listing’s screenshot was first shared on Weibo by Chinese leaker @Pandalsbald. Not just the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro, rather the entire series including the vanilla smartphone, the Pro model, the Pro max model, and the mini variants were listed. Even the rumored Apple AirPods 3 was found listed on the portal.

Additionally, the publication revealed that the series will go on pre-orders from September 17th. It is said to go on sale starting September 24th in the market. While the launch date, as well as the sale date, is revealed, we aren’t sure if the dates are legit. Previously, the Chinese publication was subject to incorrect launch dates. However, this time around, the tipster Jon Prosser confirmed that the listed date is real and indeed the launch timeline is correct.

If we go by the said launch date then Apple is expected to send invites by September 7th. This is how the entire launch timeline would look like.
