Last month, we reported that Apple might soon launch the iPhone SE 2022. Now, a report has surfaced stating that Apple has imported the new iPhone SE model for testing in India along with the iPad Air refresh and a new budget iPad.

According to 91mobiles, industry sources have informed that the upcoming iPhone models are imported under model numbers A2595, A2783, and A2784. The smartphone is said to be priced at around $300.

The report claims that this could be the iPhone SE 3. However, previous leaks have stated that Apple has delayed the SE 3 to 2023 and will likely release the iPhone SE Plus in the coming months. So we are most likely looking at the test samples of the iPhone SE Plus.

Other than that, the report reveals two new iPad models that have entered the country for testing. The devices carrying model numbers A2588 and A2589 are believed to be the iPad Air refresh dubbed the iPad Air 5. The two model numbers hint towards WiFi-only and WiFi+Cellular models. They carry a price tag of $500-$700.

The budget iPad carrying model numbers A2757 and A2589 is priced at roughly $300.

These devices will most likely come with a higher price tag than mentioned above due to added import duties and other levies so we suggest you take these prices with a grain of salt.

So far, the upcoming iPhone SE 2022 or the SE Plus model is expected to come with a 4.7-inch Retina HD LCD display and will also feature a Home button with a fingerprint sensor embedded. It is likely to be the last Apple smartphone to come packed with an LCD display panel and a home button.

It will be powered by the Apple A15 processor along with 3GB of RAM while there could also be a Plus variant that will pack 4GB of RAM. The chipset also brings support for 5G connectivity to the phone. There will still be a 12-megapixel single camera sensor on the back with improved photography features.

Previous leaks have indicated towards an April-May launch of the iPhone SE 2022, however, judging by this recent development, Apple might launch the new iPhone in early spring.

iPhone SE Plus to debut in 2022, iPhone SE 3 arrives 2023: Report

Sudhanshu — Mon, 17 Jan 2022 17:23:41 +0000

Back in October 2021, rumors surfaced that Apple had postponed the iPhone SE 3 and would instead release the iPhone SE Plus in 2022. Now, DSCC analyst Ross Young who initially broke the news in October is back with more details regarding the upcoming iPhone SE models.

The iPhone SE series is a line of affordable small-screen iPhones that was first introduced in 2016. The second phone in the series didn’t launch till 2020 and a successor is expected to arrive in 2022.

Next SE model is rumored to be called SE+ 5G and will have a 4.7" LCD. Previously said the next SE model, SE3, would either have a 5.7" or a 6.1" display. It is now looking like it will be 5.7". May be launched in 2023 rather than 2024.

According to the latest tweet by DSCC analyst Ross Young the next iPhone SE model will indeed be called the iPhone SE Plus. The SE Plus will be the first device in the SE lineup to offer 5G support and is expected to house a 4.7-inch LCD display. The device is also expected to retain the same design with thick top and bottom bezzles and have a Touch ID button.

The iPhone SE Plus is expected to debut in the next few months with the A15 Bionic chip, improved rear camera sensor, and 5G support.

Ross Young also states that the iPhone SE 3 might launch in 2023 rather than the previously predicted 2024 timeline and will have a 5.7-inch display.

Going by recent CAD renders, the iPhone SE 3 will retain the same rear design and have the same dimensions as the current iPhone SE. However, on the front, the device will offer a bigger screen by getting rid of the massive forehead chin, and touch ID button found in current-gen SE models. The SE 3 is also expected to house the A15 Bionic chipset and support 5G bands.

Apple iPhone SE 3 to launch next year with upgraded processor and 5G support

A well-known and reliable Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has released his forecast related to the Apple iPhone lineup from the next couple of years. In the report, the interesting take is on the smaller iPhone SE.

As per the report, Apple won’t be releasing the next-generation model of the new Apple iPhone SE (2020) this year. Instead, the device will be launched next year.

He further goes on to mention that there won’t be much change in terms of design of the smartphone and the display size of 4.7-inch could also remain the same. However, the company will be upgrading the processor and add support for 5G connectivity.

While it is mentioned that the chipset in the device will be upgraded, the report doesn’t reveal which processor will be used. Our speculation is that the device could pack the same chipset used in the upcoming iPhone 14 lineup or the current A14 Bionic.

The delayed launch of iPhone SE 3 doesn’t mean there won’t be a new iPhone SE model this year. As per the reports, the Cupertino-based giant is gearing up to launch iPhone SE Plus later this year.

The upcoming iPhone SE Plus is expected to come with a 6.1-inch display with a cutout on top of the screen. In the camera department, there could be a 12-megapixel dual-camera setup. Under the hood, it will pack A14 processor without 5G support and the device is also said to have support for a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Apple iPhone SE Plus specs leak online; could feature 6.1-inch LCD display

Jeet — Tue, 26 Jan 2021 11:57:42 +0000

Apple first launched its iPhone SE compact smartphone in 2016 and the company updated the same with the launch of its successor last year, which too is named iPhone SE. Now, the Cupertino-based tech giant is gearing up to launch the latest iteration of the model.

This time, Apple is expected to launch two devices in the iPhone SE lineup, which includes the standard iPhone SE as well as the iPhone SE Plus. Now, the specifications of the Plus variant seems to have leaked online.

As per the report, the upcoming Apple iPhone SE Plus will come with a 6.1-inch LCD display and is expected to be powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chipset — the same chip that currently powers the iPhone 12-lineup, with 5G connectivity support.

However, there’s also a possibility that the device could be powered by the 7nm Apple A13 Bionic chipset used for the iPhone 11 lineup. As for the camera, it is said to feature a 12MP single camera sensor on the back and a 7MP front-facing snapper.

It will also likely have IP67 ratings, making the smartphone water-resistant for up to 1 meter. The report also indicates that along with the Face ID, the phone may come with Touch ID support with the fingerprint sensor being embedded on the power button.

The Apple iPhone SE Plus is expected to come in at least two color options — Black and Red. As for the pricing, it is being claimed that it could cost around $499, which is about $100 more than the iPhone SE currently available in the market.
