Other than getting to know more about the processor, battery, Type-C connector, the most awaited bit, from the eyes of the affected lot, is iFixit&#8217;s take on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/29/stuttering-and-jelly-scrolling-effect-ipad-mini-6-not-a-bug-oonfirms-apple/">ongoing</a> &#8220;Jelly Scrolling&#8221; fuss. While the teardown experts suggest this effect is normal, the wobbling is surprisingly much more noticeable on iPad mini 6.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-415876" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-1024x606.jpg?x10805" alt="ipad-mini-6-featured" width="696" height="412" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-1024x606.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-300x178.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-768x454.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-696x412.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-1068x632.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-710x420.jpg 710w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/ipad-mini-6-featured-1920x1136.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p>iFixit notes that it is a natural behavior for LCD and OLED displays to exhibit similar display wobbling but it also appears that the jelly scrolling on iPad mini 6 isn&#8217;t as minimal as others and is indeed a pain. However, it still remains unclear as to what could be the reason behind its occurrence but it is highly likely to be because of a specific board placement. This means, that there&#8217;s no imminent solution to this problem and iPad mini 6 users will have to continue facing the jelly scrolling issue.</p>
<p>The short video of iPad mini 6 disassemblies by iFixit suggests that <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/apple-a-15-bionic/">A15</a> SoC used is downclocked a bit when compared to what it is in the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/apple-iphone-13/">iPhone 13</a> series. It is easier to remove the USB-C connector on the new iPad mini when compared to the previous generations. The battery still being adhered to the chassis indicates that early rumors pointing towards <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tags/apple/">Apple</a> mulling a similar move with the device&#8217;s battery were void.</p>
<p>iFixit gives the device a 3 out of 10 and claims that the new device is slightly more repairable. The preliminary video doesn&#8217;t dive into much detail but a full teardown can be expected in the coming days.</p>
