LeBest, an entry-level Chinese smartphone brand just launched the LeBest X14 Pro Max. Some smartphone manufacturers who use Android are frequently criticized for supposedly mimicking Apple.

According to MacRumors, The X14 Pro Max, available for under $150, is the most recent gadget that attempts to profit from the popularity of the iPhone by copying several of its design cues. The “X14 Pro Max” moniker, an apparent reference to the impending iPhone 14 Pro Max, is only the first of many design choices that precisely resemble Apple’s premium iPhone models.

Like the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro, the gadget has a back camera module with three lenses placed in a triangle, a flash above the right lens, and a notch meant to resemble a LiDAR scanner below it. The phone sports a frosted glass back and a polished stainless steel frame, just like the iPhone 11 Pro, 12 Pro, and 13 Pro.

In addition to these similarities, the LeBest X14 Pro Max varies from the iPhone in that it has a 16-megapixel back camera, a rear display adjacent to the camera array, and a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera, support for 40W fast charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

With a 6.5-inch LCD screen, a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, and an 8-megapixel front camera, it is substantially less expensive than the iPhone in terms of technology and specs. In place of Google, the gadget is made to use Huawei Mobile Services.

With the exception of Gold, the device’s color selections are identical to those of the iPhone 13 Pro. These include “Graphite” grey, silver, and a “Sapphire Blue” that closely resembles Apple’s Sierra Blue. The X14 Pro Max’s marketing materials from LeBest employ Apple’s same iPhone 13 Pro wallpaper, which is the most obvious similarity.
