<p>A few years back, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a> launched the Pro Display XDR, a high-end monitor from the brand and the first display from the company after it discontinued Apple Thunderbolt Display.</p>

<p>Earlier this year, the company launched the Apple <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/09/apple-mac-studio-m1-ultra-soc-apple-studio-display/">Studio Display</a>, and now a new report coming from Mark Gurman of <em>Bloomberg</em> claims that the Cupertino-based tech giant is working on new monitors.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="538" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-1024x538.jpeg?x10805" alt="Apple Pro Display XDR" class="wp-image-503539" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-1024x538.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-300x158.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-768x403.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-696x365.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-1068x561.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-800x420.jpeg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR.jpeg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Apple Pro Display XDR</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The report adds that Apple is currently working on multiple new external monitors, including an upgraded version of the Pro Display XDR that was launched along with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-mac-pro">Mac Pro</a> in 2019.</p>

<p>It is further said that the upcoming monitors from the company will come powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-silicon">Apple Silicon chips</a>, similar to how the Studio Display is powered by the Apple A13 Bionic chip. However, as of now, not many details are known about the upcoming displays from the brand.</p>

<p>Currently, there&#8217;s no timeline available for the launch of new external displays from Apple, but as per the reports, the new Mac Pro is further along in development compared to the updated <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-pro-display-xdr">Pro Display XDR</a>.</p>

<p>Earlier, reports indicated that Apple is planning to launch a new 27-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mini-led">Mini-LED display</a> in the first quarter of 2023, but not much is known about the product yet. It is speculated that this monitor could be a new Studio Display with ProMotion, but it has not been confirmed yet.</p>

<p>So far, all the external displays or monitors launched by Apple have been in the high-end category with premium pricing. It remains to be seen if any of the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/monitor">monitors</a> that the company is working on end up in the affordable segment.</p>

<p>In the <em><a href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212877" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">support document</a></em>, the Cupertino based giant stated that a caution symbol will be displayed in the menu bar or display menu in the Control Center of a 2021 MacBook Pro or Apple Pro Display XDR. This alert notifies the users that the display is in low power mode and that the brightness will be limited as well (Via <a href="https://www.macrumors.com/2022/02/04/macbook-pro-2022-limited-brightness/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MacRumors</em></a>). The iPhone maker says that this only occurs in a few scenarios. This include, ambient temperature of the room being high or if bright content is displayed on the screen for a long time.</p>
<p>The brand also offered certain solutions for users that are repeatedly seeing the warning pop up. So let&#8217;s have a look:</p>
<ul>
<li>On MacBook Pro with Liquid Retina XDR display, quit any apps that could be consuming significant system resources.</li>
<li>Use the Apple XDR Display or Pro Display XDR reference mode unless your current workflow requires a specific reference mode.</li>
<li>Lower the ambient temperature of the room.</li>
<li>Close or hide any windows with HDR content.</li>
<li>Choose Apple menu  &gt; Sleep to put your Mac to sleep. Let your display cool down for 5-10 minutes, then press any key on the keyboard to wake your Mac.</li>
</ul>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-441529 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple" width="1200" height="630" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image-768x403.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image-696x365.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image-1068x561.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/pro-display-og-image-800x420.jpg 800w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>Apart from these, the company says that simply lowering the room&#8217;s temperature or putting the devices to sleep for a while might help in cooling it down. As per the official support document, users that face this issue regularly despite the ambient temperature of the room being under 25 degree Celsius should contact Apple Support.</p>
