<p>According to a <em><a href="https://www.macrumors.com/2025/08/13/ipad-mini-a19-pro-chip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MacRumors </a></em>report, the Cupertino based giant is planning on updating an iPad model, Apple TV, and Studio Display. Sources close to the matter have revealed that the next gen A19 Pro will power the new iPad Mini, which is the brand&#8217;s compact tablet model. To recall, its predecessor was unveiled with the older A17 Pro model, while the A19 Pro is expected to debut in the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-1024x536.jpg?x44794" alt="iPad Mini 7" class="wp-image-575568" width="859" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-768x402.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-1068x559.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-803x420.jpg 803w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 859px) 100vw, 859px" /><figcaption>Apple iPad Mini</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the other hand, the A17 Pro will now power the newer Apple TV 4K, bringing faster performance compared to the older A15 Bionic models. Considering how this tiny box doesn&#8217;t need as much power, this might be a binned version of the chip that powers the iPhone 15 Pros. So we can expect better gaming performance along with Apple Intelligence making its debut as well. The report further adds that Apple plans to unveil the compact tablet with an OLED screen like its iPhones.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="645" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Apple" class="wp-image-542128" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-300x189.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-768x484.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-696x438.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-667x420.jpg 667w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Apple Studio Display</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Lastly, the professional grade Apple Studio Display 2 could be arriving soon. As the name suggests, it is a successor to the original Studio Display. While these new gadgets are expected to launch soon, there is still no word regarding its release timeline.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple </a>had launched a new self service repair program for some of its products a while back. Now, the company is expanding the scope of this program by adding a couple of new products into the supported list. So here are all the details.</p>

<p>The Cupertino based giant had just recently rolled out its self service repair program in the UK, which includes the likes of the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, and even iPhone SE. In the new updated list, owners of the M1 Mac mini, M1 iMac, Mac Studio, and Apple Studio Display can also join the self repair service. For those unaware, this basically allows you to gain access to genuine parts with repair manuals and even tools. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/a6d965b0-445b-11eb-b677-b14a7fd964ab.cf_.jpg?x44794" alt="Apple" class="wp-image-504144" width="701" height="468" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/a6d965b0-445b-11eb-b677-b14a7fd964ab.cf_.jpg 875w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/a6d965b0-445b-11eb-b677-b14a7fd964ab.cf_-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/a6d965b0-445b-11eb-b677-b14a7fd964ab.cf_-768x513.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/a6d965b0-445b-11eb-b677-b14a7fd964ab.cf_-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/a6d965b0-445b-11eb-b677-b14a7fd964ab.cf_-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="(max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px" /><figcaption>M1 Mac Mini</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>This program was made for those that would rather make fixes on their devices at their homes rather than taking it to any third party or official Apple Store. All one needs to do is rent the tools and buy all the relevant repair/replacement parts. Although one also needs to enter a code from the related manual at the checkout to show that you have actually read the document. Apple had first unveiled this service earlier this year and only included certain iPhone models in the US. </p>

<p>But this has since expanded to other regions and now also includes the Mac lineup of desktop PCs and more. According to Apple COO Jeff Williams &#8220;We believe the best technology for our customers and for the planet is technology that lasts, which is why we design our products to be durable and rarely require maintenance or repair. But when a repair is needed, we want customers to have many options for safe, reliable, and secure repair.&#8221;</p>

<p>A few years back, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a> launched the Pro Display XDR, a high-end monitor from the brand and the first display from the company after it discontinued Apple Thunderbolt Display.</p>

<p>Earlier this year, the company launched the Apple <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/09/apple-mac-studio-m1-ultra-soc-apple-studio-display/">Studio Display</a>, and now a new report coming from Mark Gurman of <em>Bloomberg</em> claims that the Cupertino-based tech giant is working on new monitors.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="538" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-1024x538.jpeg?x44794" alt="Apple Pro Display XDR" class="wp-image-503539" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-1024x538.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-300x158.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-768x403.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-696x365.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-1068x561.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR-800x420.jpeg 800w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Apple-Pro-Display-XDR.jpeg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Apple Pro Display XDR</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The report adds that Apple is currently working on multiple new external monitors, including an upgraded version of the Pro Display XDR that was launched along with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-mac-pro">Mac Pro</a> in 2019.</p>

<p>It is further said that the upcoming monitors from the company will come powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-silicon">Apple Silicon chips</a>, similar to how the Studio Display is powered by the Apple A13 Bionic chip. However, as of now, not many details are known about the upcoming displays from the brand.</p>

<p>Currently, there&#8217;s no timeline available for the launch of new external displays from Apple, but as per the reports, the new Mac Pro is further along in development compared to the updated <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-pro-display-xdr">Pro Display XDR</a>.</p>

<p>Earlier, reports indicated that Apple is planning to launch a new 27-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mini-led">Mini-LED display</a> in the first quarter of 2023, but not much is known about the product yet. It is speculated that this monitor could be a new Studio Display with ProMotion, but it has not been confirmed yet.</p>

<p>So far, all the external displays or monitors launched by Apple have been in the high-end category with premium pricing. It remains to be seen if any of the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/monitor">monitors</a> that the company is working on end up in the affordable segment.</p>

And now, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/ifixit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">iFixit</a> has released a new tear down video that revealed the internals of the two gadgets.</p>
<p><iframe loading="lazy" title="Mac Studio Teardown: No upgradable storage… yet" width="696" height="392" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TYF527DqnwY?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>Looking at the video, we can see the M1 Max powered Mac Studio. In the YouTube, iFixit stated that &#8220;If Apple squeezed a <a href="https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/mac-pro/">Mac Pro</a> into a <a href="https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/mac-mini/">Mac mini</a>, you&#8217;d get something that looks a lot like the new (Mac Studio). Based on a previous teardown, we already know that the Mac Studio&#8217;s SSD is not soldered and can be removed. So while iFixit confirmed this, it is still unknown if upgrades are possible. iFixit did find a spare slot on the logic board and put an SSD from another Mac Studio, but that did not work.</p>
<p>On the other hand, RAM is built in and can not upgraded once the user purchases a particular configuration. Another notable aspect noted during the teardown was the massive heatsink. The cooling system relies on a dual fan assembly and the fans are &#8220;so much more massive than other Mac fans.&#8221; Similarly, they also found that the heatsink &#8220;positively dwarfs the <a href="https://www.macrumors.com/guide/m1/">M1</a>.&#8221; Apart from this, the internals of the Mac Studio are complex, comprising of various brackets, connectors, and torx screws, which impacts repairability (scored 6 out of 10 on repairs) and user accessibility. Although, it was praised for its heat management system.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-450907 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659.png?x44794" alt="Apple" width="1618" height="852" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659.png 1618w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659-300x158.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659-768x404.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659-1024x539.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659-696x366.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659-1068x562.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Screenshot-2022-03-24-170659-798x420.png 798w" sizes="(max-width: 1618px) 100vw, 1618px" /></p>
<p>Arriving at the Studio Display, iFixit also tore apart the Cupertino based giant&#8217;s latest productivity based display. In the video, we get a short look of the Studio Display&#8217;s internals that looks quite similar to an iMac. The webcam in the Studio Display is similar to the camera on the iPhone 11. Although, this was just a general observation and not a proper breakdown analysis, which will be arriving in the near future.</p>

These new details for products lined up for Apple’s Peek Performance Event unveiling add further hype to the event.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-447831" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple.png?x44794" alt="Apple Mac Studio" width="1786" height="1038" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple.png 1786w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-300x174.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-768x446.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-1024x595.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-696x405.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-1068x621.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-723x420.png 723w" sizes="(max-width: 1786px) 100vw, 1786px" /></a></p>
<p>The Apple iPhone SE 3, the new iPad Air 5, and a Mac Mini are among the devices lined up for the unveiling. There is no way of verifying the current leak, but we could expect a few surprises from Apple during the event. The new leak indicates that we might see a bigger Mac Mini, which is called the Mac Studio, a new and cheaper Studio Display.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-447829" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3.png?x44794" alt="" width="1592" height="984" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3.png 1592w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3-300x185.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3-768x475.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3-1024x633.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3-356x220.png 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3-696x430.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3-1068x660.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-3-680x420.png 680w" sizes="(max-width: 1592px) 100vw, 1592px" /></a></p>
<p>The specific leak relates to a YouTube video by Luke Mani, who indicated that Apple is planning to release a new Mac Studio, which bears a striking semblance with the Mac Mini although it is bigger and has greater functionality than the Mac Mini. Performance-wise, the Mac Studio is also faster and cools more efficiently than the Mac Mini.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-447830" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2.png?x44794" alt="" width="1552" height="896" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2.png 1552w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2-300x173.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2-768x443.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2-1024x591.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2-696x402.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2-1068x617.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/apple-2-728x420.png 728w" sizes="(max-width: 1552px) 100vw, 1552px" /></a></p>
<p>The new Apple Mac Studio is expected to be cheaper than the Mac Pro. The new Apple Studio Display seems to be a cheaper 27-inch display, with the MiniLED technology omitted. There are several other omissions that imply that the new Apple Studio Display will be far cheaper than the Pro Display XDR.</p>

<p>The leaks also relate to a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/03/08/apple-iphone-13-dark-green-color-rumors/">green Apple iPhone 13</a> and a purple iPad Air 5. With a few hours to the launch, we keep our fingers crossed on the surprises Apple has formulated for the event.</p>
