<p>According to a <em><a href="https://www.macrumors.com/2025/08/13/ipad-mini-a19-pro-chip/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MacRumors </a></em>report, the Cupertino based giant is planning on updating an iPad model, Apple TV, and Studio Display. Sources close to the matter have revealed that the next gen A19 Pro will power the new iPad Mini, which is the brand&#8217;s compact tablet model. To recall, its predecessor was unveiled with the older A17 Pro model, while the A19 Pro is expected to debut in the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-1024x536.jpg?x10805" alt="iPad Mini 7" class="wp-image-575568" width="859" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-1024x536.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-300x157.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-768x402.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-696x364.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-1068x559.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7-803x420.jpg 803w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/iPad-Mini-7.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 859px) 100vw, 859px" /><figcaption>Apple iPad Mini</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>On the other hand, the A17 Pro will now power the newer Apple TV 4K, bringing faster performance compared to the older A15 Bionic models. Considering how this tiny box doesn&#8217;t need as much power, this might be a binned version of the chip that powers the iPhone 15 Pros. So we can expect better gaming performance along with Apple Intelligence making its debut as well. The report further adds that Apple plans to unveil the compact tablet with an OLED screen like its iPhones.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="645" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple" class="wp-image-542128" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-300x189.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-768x484.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-696x438.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Apple-Mac-Studio-Studio-Display-1-1024x645-1-667x420.jpg 667w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Apple Studio Display</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Lastly, the professional grade Apple Studio Display 2 could be arriving soon. As the name suggests, it is a successor to the original Studio Display. While these new gadgets are expected to launch soon, there is still no word regarding its release timeline.</p>

<p><a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a>&#8216;s plans for the future of <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv">Apple TV</a> are taking shape, and it might involve getting a little closer. According to Mark Gurman&#8217;s latest Power On newsletter for <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/bloomberg">Bloomberg</a>, Apple is considering integrating a camera directly into the Apple TV box, potentially opening the door for <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/facetime">FaceTim</a>e calls and other video conferencing applications. </p>

<h3>Users can also use their iPhones or iPads as cameras for the big screen</h3>

<p>This news comes alongside the recent addition of the FaceTime app in Apple&#8217;s <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/tvos">tvOS</a> 17 update. Currently, users can leverage their <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/iphone">iPhone </a>or <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ipad">iPad</a>&#8216;s rear cameras for video calls on the big screen. However, a built-in camera on the Apple TV itself would eliminate the need for a separate device.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4.webp?x10805" alt="Apple" class="wp-image-491239" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-747x420.webp 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Gurman hints at even more possibilities beyond video calls with the camera integration. He mentions &#8220;gesture-based interactive control,&#8221; but specifics remain under wraps. There are two potential interpretations:</p>

<ul><li><strong>Enhanced Video Calling:</strong>&nbsp;This could build upon existing gesture features in FaceTime and other video calling apps on <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ios-17">iOS 17</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/macos">macOS </a>Sonoma, and tvOS 17. Imagine using gestures like thumbs-up for on-screen fireworks or peace signs for confetti during video calls on your Apple TV.</li><li><strong>System-Wide Gestures:</strong>&nbsp;This would be a more ambitious approach, enabling gesture control for the entire tvOS system. While details are scarce, it could revolutionize how you interact with your Apple TV. </li></ul>

<p>Apple&#8217;s smart home ambitions extend beyond the Apple TV. Gurman also mentions the company&#8217;s exploration of a &#8220;lightweight smart display,&#8221; similar to a low-end iPad. This versatile device could move from room to room, connecting to charging stations throughout the house. Apple has reportedly started limited trial production of screens for such a product, but a final decision on its launch remains unclear.</p>

<p>Lionel Messi stands as one of the greatest and most successful athletes of all time. His career, overflowing with trophies and iconic moments, brings joy to football fans worldwide, even those in less prominent leagues like the MLS. If you&#8217;re a football enthusiast and admire Lionel Messi, you might be able to witness his brilliance without cost, perhaps through a free trial period. Here are the details&#8230;</p>

<h2><strong>Lionel Messi Offering One Free Month of Apple&#8217;s MLS Season Pass</strong></h2>

<p>As you know, Apple owns the broadcasting rights for MLS. To watch Lionel Messi&#8217;s and other MLS teams&#8217; matches in the league, you would normally need to pay $14.99 per month or $99 for the whole season. However, if you access the campaign page through the link on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C4yK5xptdVb/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Messi&#8217;s Instagram account</a> and sign up for the first time, you can try out a one-month MLS season pass for free. The one-month free trial will be available at that link until April 5th.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1-1024x576.jpeg?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-613023" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1-696x392.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1-1068x601.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1-747x420.jpeg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/lionel-messi-and-apple-offers-free-mls-season-pass-1.jpeg 1312w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>If you&#8217;re interested, please note that MLS broadcasts are currently only available in English, Spanish, and French. This might be a challenge if you don&#8217;t speak any of those languages. For those who choose to continue with the service after the free subscription ends, Apple TV+ subscribers get a discounted rate of $12.99 per month or $79 per season.</p>

<p>While MLS is available worldwide, the pricing hasn&#8217;t been adjusted for local economies, so it might be expensive depending on your location and currency exchange rates. Still, it&#8217;s a chance to see legendary players with a history of wins in La Liga, Ligue 1, the Champions League, the World Cup, and even the Ballon D&#8217;Or.</p>

<p>After a long, long wait, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/apple">Apple</a> is changing how <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/windows">Windows</a> users enjoy its services by launching three new apps: <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv">Apple TV,</a> <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/apple-music">Apple Music</a>, and Apple Devices. The company is aiming towards reducing Windows users&#8217; need for <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/itunes">iTunes</a>, offering a more direct and streamlined way to access Apple&#8217;s entertainment and device management features.</p>

<h3>Apple worked closely with Microsoft to ensure the quality of these apps</h3>

<p>After a period of testing and feedback, these apps are no longer just a preview. Apple worked closely with <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/microsoft">Microsoft</a> to ensure these apps were ready for the public &#8211; a joint effort to improve the user experience across different platforms.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="623" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/GFw1XXIbYAIDWjL-1024x623.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple" class="wp-image-603657" /></figure></div>

<p>For those who love watching TV shows and movies or listening to music, the Apple TV and Apple Music apps open up a world of content. Windows users can now easily watch their favorite shows or listen to music from their iTunes library or through Apple&#8217;s subscription services. The Apple Devices app makes managing <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/iphone">iPhones</a> and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ipad">iPads</a> from a Windows PC easier, offering options to back up, restore, and sync content.</p>

<p>Alongside these new apps, Apple has updated the iCloud for Windows app, making it work better with Windows systems. This is part of a larger effort to ensure Windows users can enjoy a seamless experience with their services. Microsoft has also embraced this collaboration, integrating <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/icloud">iCloud</a> Photos into <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/windows-11">Windows 11</a>&#8216;s Photos app.</p>

<p>These apps are available for PCs running Windows 10 or Windows 11, but they&#8217;re currently not out for ARM64-based devices. However, the release does make it clear that the trillion-dollar tech giant is trying its best to cater to a broader audience, ensuring that even those on Windows can easily access and enjoy Apple&#8217;s services without relying on iTunes.</p>

<p>The competition between digital content platforms is heating up. Netflix and Disney+ are the current leaders, but Apple TV+ and others are trying to catch up. Two key factors in this competition are the quality of the content and effective marketing. Netflix is a master of marketing, while Disney+ has great content. Apple is hoping to combine the two by posting the entire first episode of its new show, Silo, on Twitter. Here are the details&#8230;</p>

<h2>Apple Takes a Page Out of Netflix Marketing&#8217; Book</h2>

<p>Twitter, now managed by Elon Musk, has been offering a variety of benefits to its Blue subscribers for some time. This includes the ability to post longer videos than usual. However, the company recently surprised everyone by posting the entire first episode of Apple&#8217;s science fiction series Silo on Twitter. This means that people who were curious about the series but were hesitant to watch it because they were unfamiliar with the platform now have a chance to give it a try.</p>

<p>Of course, Elon Musk didn&#8217;t ignore this post. He acknowledged Apple&#8217;s move in another Twitter post. <p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-airtag/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple</a> plans to bid for streaming rights to the English Premier League (EPL), according to a report in a British tabloid. The move will build on the company&#8217;s recently signed, decade-long deal to stream Major League Soccer (MLS) exclusively on Apple TV starting next month. if report To be precise, Apple would be the fourth-biggest contender for domestic rights to top-flight English football.</p>

<p>Domestic EPL rights are currently valued at £5.1bn ($6.23bn) and operate on a three-year renewal cycle. Tender rights for the EPL are due to be renewed later this year, with existing rights for the current three-year period expiring in 2025. This means there will be The current valuation of domestic EPL rights could increase significantly if <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-airtag/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple</a> enters the bidding process.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1-1024x576.webp?x10805" alt="Premier League footballers" class="wp-image-509025" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1-747x420.webp 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/apple-reportedly-planning-bid-for-english-premier-league-streaming-rights-1.webp 1280w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>In recent years, there have been bidding wars between major players such as Sky Sports BT Sport and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/prime-video/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Amazon Prime Video</a>, with Sky Sports often the dominant player. However, the package clause ensures that no one broadcaster gets all of the Premier League rights, so any deal Apple&#8217;s broadcast rights for the EPL will necessarily fall short of the exclusivity deal the company has successfully negotiated with the MLS.</p>

<p>Notably, ‌<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple TV+</a>‌ premiered the &#8220;Super League: Battle for Football&#8221; documentary series on Sunday, charting an ill-fated European league proposal pitting the sport&#8217;s elite clubs against each other. This may indicate that the company is looking to increase its Sports coverage of the future.</p>

<p>All told, Apple is reportedly planning to bid for the Premier League streaming rights, a move that would add to the current £5.1 billion ($6.23 billion) valuation for the domestic EPL rights. That would make the company the fourth-largest player vying for the purchase Domestic rights for top-flight English football join the likes of Sky Sports BT Sport and Amazon Prime Video.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple TV</a> has existed in two different variants alongside each other for some time now. The TV 4K was first launched back in 2017 and sold along with the fourth gen Apple TV HD. However, with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv-4k-2022/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">latest TV 4K </a>model launch, the company has finally discontinued the old HD variant.</p>

<p>For those unaware, the Cupertino based giant launched the latest TV 4K model earlier this week. At the same time, the iPhone maker also delisted the TV HD variant, which is no longer sold in the company&#8217;s official store. The Apple TV HD model was the fourth generation of the series and was also the first variant that ran on tvOS, which is a standalone operating system that was dedicated to these devices. Furthermore, it was equipped with the A8 chip and had 2GB of RAM.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4.webp?x10805" alt="" class="wp-image-491239" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/apple-tv-4k-4-747x420.webp 747w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>One of the biggest highlights of this fourth gen Apple TV was also the arrival of the Siri Remote that featured touchpad and motion sensors. It was announced for a starting price tag of 149 US Dollars for the 32GB version. However, the company finally announced the TV 4K, which was the first model that came with 4K resolution and HDR support. It was also powered by the more powerful A10X Fusion chipset. In 2021, this device was refreshed again with the A12 Bionic chip and a redesigned Siri Remote.</p>

<p>Now, the latest model is the Apple TV 4K 2022, which comes with the even more powerful A15 Bionic chipset, which is around 50 percent faster than the A12 chipset. The new Siri Remote also comes with a USB Type C charging port over the Lightning port on the older models. Its starting storage capacity also doubled to 64GB and maxed out at 128GB, with a lowered starting price tag of 129 US Dollars.</p>

The company is also expected to launch another event by the end of this year, where it is expected to announce new iPad models.</p>
<p>Now, ahead of the launch of the new iPad models, a <a href="https://link.mail.bloombergbusiness.com/click/29164934.5933/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuYmxvb21iZXJnLmNvbS9hY2NvdW50L25ld3NsZXR0ZXJzL3Bvd2VyLW9uP3NvdXJjZT1wYWlkTkxzaGFyZQ/612e5c5e0bd0ff7d7d6dfa9bCccf56ed8">new report</a> from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg in the Power On newsletter has revealed information about the Mac devices that are expected to get launched next year, i.e., in 2023.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-423110 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple" width="5819" height="3879" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash.jpg 5819w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash-630x420.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/laurenz-heymann-wAygsCk20h8-unsplash-1920x1280.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 5819px) 100vw, 5819px" /></p>
<p>As per the report, Apple is expected to launch a new 15-inch MacBook Air along with the new M3 chips that will power the iMac. The company has also lined up Mac Pro, HomePod, Reality Pro, and a larger iPad to go official sometime next year. There is also a possibility that the company will launch a combined product of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv">Apple TV</a>, HomePod, and Facetime cameras towards the end of 2023.</p>
<p>The reports about a new 15-inch MacBook Air have been making rounds for some time now, and the Cupertino-based giant is also expected to increase the size of the 13.3-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-macbook-air">MacBook Air</a>, but it will remain under 14-inch.</p>
<p>If this latest report is to be believed, then Apple will be skipping the M2-powered iMac and will directly launch new iMac devices next year, which will come powered by the yet unannounced Apple Silicon&#8217;s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-m3">M3 chipset</a>.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s also a possibility of a larger iPad Pro making its debut in the year 2023, which will likely have a 14.1-inch display. The new HomePod is expected to come powered by the S8 processor, which also powers the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-watch-series-8">Apple Watch Series 8</a>.</p>
<p>The highly-anticipated and long-rumored Apple Glasses are set to be released next year, and the Mixed Reality Headset is believed to feature a three-display configuration, featuring two Micro <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/oled">OLED</a> 4K displays and another <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/amoled">AMOLED panel</a> for low-resolution peripheral vision.</p>

<p>The Cupertino based giant made the announcement earlier today (25th October 2021). In other words, the Apple TV 4K and TV+ service will be available in the country for the first time together. The company has reportedly received the required regulatory approval to official release in Mainland China as per new reports.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-385402 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple TV 4K" width="1200" height="960" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1-300x240.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1-768x614.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1-1024x819.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1-696x557.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1-1068x854.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1-525x420.jpg 525w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>According to a Weibo blogger, a Chinese microblogging website, @<a href="https://weibo.com/lizexipablo" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>Voooolks</em></a> (Via <a href="https://www.macrumors.com/2021/04/26/apple-tv-imminent-launch-china-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><em>MacRumors</em></a>) the Cupertino based giant has received approval from China&#8217;s State Administration of Press and Publication, Radio, Film, and Television to launch the Apple TV in the country. The news arrives after the iPhone maker was recently rumored that the product was under review by the state agency. Furthermore, the launch in China is set to arrive just a week after the company <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/04/20/apple-announces-its-second-gen-apple-tv-4k-powered-by-apple-a12-bionic-chipset/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced the new and more powerful Apple TV</a>.</p>
<p>For those unaware, the brand announced the latest iteration of its product with the more powerful <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-a12-bionic/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">A12 Bionic</a> chipset and a redesigned TV remote. Notably, China has strict rules regarding the flow of content within its borders. Thus, international firms that wish to sell to Chinese customers need to adhere to strict regulations and follow the local law agencies. So, if the Apple TV launches in the region, it would be limited in functionality apart from its basic features.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-383615 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple TV 4K" width="1500" height="900" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k.jpg 1500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-300x180.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-768x461.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1024x614.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-696x418.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-1068x641.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/apple-tv-4k-700x420.jpg 700w" sizes="(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px" /></p>
<p>Additionally, content available on the platform would also be different as popular channels and applications like Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and other online streaming services are not available in the region due to local law. But despite the limited scope, the company aims to expand its user base in the region, which CEO Tim Cook believes is an increasingly important market.</p>

<p><strong><em>Original Story is as follows&#8230;</em></strong></p>
<p>After a lot of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/09/apple-event-rumors-23-march/">misquoted dates</a>, Apple&#8217;s Siri assistant itself has revealed the date of the next launch event. While Apple hasn&#8217;t confirmed it yet, the next Apple event is said to be on April 20 as per Siri.</p>
<p>Just like users reporting on Twitter and MacRumors reports, I tried asking Siri, &#8220;Hey Siri, Apple event&#8221;. It replied that a Special event is on next Tuesday, i.e, April 20. Apple recently confirmed that it&#8217;s WWDC 2021 will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/30/380975-apple-ww-dc-2021-june-7-official-expected-announcements/">online</a> and begin on June 7.</p>
<p>While one might expect the same for this event, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/siri">Siri</a> says that the event will be hosted at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA. That said, it doesn&#8217;t confirm it as an in-person event and considering the situation, we can expect Apple to stream a pre-recorded video on social media channels like <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/youtube">YouTube</a>.</p>
<p>You can take a look at the screenshot below:</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-383708 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-473x1024.png?x10805" alt="" width="473" height="1024" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-473x1024.png 473w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-139x300.png 139w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-696x1507.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-194x420.png 194w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1.png 750w" sizes="(max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px" /></p>
<p>Also, Siri didn&#8217;t say anything about the products/announcements that are going to be unveiled at the event. However, we have seen various reports in the past and they suggest that Apple will bring the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/01/apple-ipad-pro-2021-powerful-as-mac/">iPad Pro 2021</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/04/06/382225-apple-tv-2021-model-120hz-support-tvos-14-5-beta-code/">Apple TV 2021</a>, and long-rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/13/apple-airtags-on-course-march-2021-launch/">AirTags</a>.</p>
<p>There are also rumors about the new iMacs and Macbooks but we aren&#8217;t sure if they would see the light on that day.</p>
<p>Talking about the iPad Pro models, Apple is said to bring 11-inch and 12.9inch iPad Pro models. Out of this, the 12.9-inch is said to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/04/12/apple-ipad-pro-2021-launch-report/">feature a mini-LED display</a>. Other expected specs include A14X chipset, Thunderbolt connection via USB-C, and more.</p>
<p>As for the Apple TV 2021, it is expected to bring upgrades like HDMI 2.1 port, support for 120Hz refresh rate content, powerful <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/07/apple-tv2020-4k-a12z-soc-december-8-launch/">GPU and higher RAM capacity</a>, and more.</p>

<p><figure id="attachment_358699" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-358699" style="width: 518px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-358699 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="518" height="446" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k.jpg 518w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k-300x258.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k-488x420.jpg 488w" sizes="(max-width: 518px) 100vw, 518px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-358699" class="wp-caption-text">Representative image: Credits: Apple</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>As per the report evidences of high-refresh-rate support has been found on the latest <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/tvOS">tvOS</a> 14.5 beta code. That is, terms like “120Hz” and “supports120Hz” have been added to tvOS&#8217;s PineBoard in the latest build. However, if you recall, the currently selling <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv">Apple TV</a> has only up to 4K video at 60Hz support. Also, it has HDMI 2.0 port which cannot technically project the 120Hz content.</p>
<p>For the unware, the latest HDMI 2.1 standard brings improved bandwidth up to 48Gbps, resolution up to 10K, Dynamic HDR, eARC(enhanced Audio Return Channel), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and more. Accordingly, it also supports refresh rates on content up to 120Hz.</p>
<p>To do this, Apple has to put a powerful <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/07/apple-tv2020-4k-a12z-soc-december-8-launch/">GPU and higher RAM capacity</a> inside to pull that kind of content smoothly. Also, keep in mind that you will need a TV that has 120Hz refresh rate support as well. This report also goes in line with early info that said Apple was working on including HDMI 2.1 on the upcoming Apple TV.</p>
<p>That being said, the Apple TV 2021 model is turning out to be a worthy upgrade over the processors. Still, we will have to wait for a bit to know more intricate details on the same.</p>

<p>As <a href="https://twitter.com/jon_prosser/status/1368865702329937921">per the new reports</a>, Apple is expected to host an event to launch new products on 23rd March. <p>The upcoming Apple event on 23rd March is expected to be a virtual event and the company could launch the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-ipad-pro">iPad Pro 2021</a> lineup as well as a few other products, including the AirTags which have been delayed a few times.</p>
<p>The Apple iPad Pro 2021 is expected to have an optional support for 5G connectivity and could be powered by the A14X Bionic chipset, which is reported to be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/01/apple-ipad-pro-2021-powerful-as-mac/">capable of matching the performance</a> of Apple M1 chip used in the new Mac devices.</p>
<p>There are also reports about Apple working on a new version of the iPad Mini which could be called iPad Mini Pro. However, the device is unlikely to get launched this month. The company is also said to be adopting <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mini-led">Mini-LED display</a> panels for the new iPads.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a possibility that the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/airpods-3">third-generation AirPods</a> could also get launched at the event later this month, along with a new Apple TV. While both of these products are ready for launch, it is not yet confirmed if they will be launched at this event.</p>

<p>Ives was of the view that the decision by founder and former CEO Steve Jobs as well as present CEO Tim Cook not to acquire Netflix several years ago was a huge strategic mistake</p>
<p>While it may be true that Apple could have been better off with the acquisition of Netflix, the company certainly has not fared badly over the years and continues to post great results while it expands to other segments of the tech ecosystem. It remains one of the biggest companies on the planet, posting groundbreaking financials regularly, and it has consistently released premium products from the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/iphone">iPhone</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ipod">iPod</a>, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/ipad">iPad</a>, Apple TV, and several others.</p>
<p>And this is what Ives has projected, that Apple will continue to perform, as its market capitalization, which is currently about $2 trillion, is expected to hit $3 trillion by the end of 2021. Ives also feels that Apple may ultimately have to buy a Hollywood movie studio and is presently doing catch-up with the big hitters.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/netflix-696x392.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-296962" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/netflix-696x392.jpg?x10805" alt="netflix" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/netflix-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/netflix-696x392-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p>According to Ives, the only way for Apple to match the pace of the top dogs in the streaming space is to buy a major Hollywood studio of its own so as to produce content that could square up with the heavy-hitters in the industry.</p>
<p>Apple continues to make inroads into new areas with<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/15/volkswagen-ceo-not-afraid-of-upcoming-apple-car/"> talk of an Apple car</a> in the works. The iPhone, iPad, AirPods, and other models continue to provide a huge quantum of profit while the outlook for the future remains very bright.</p>

It has now officially announced that <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a> TV+ is now available for Chromecast with Google TV via the Apple TV app.</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://blog.google/products/google-tv/apple-tv-now-available/">blog post</a> released by <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/google">Google</a>, users can access the Apple TV app by going to the Apps tab or the apps row in the For you tab. If you have an Apple TV+ subscription, you will be able to watch your favorite TV shows within the app.</p>

<p>Users in the US will be able to browse through Apple Originals in their personalized recommendations and search results. They will also be able to ask Google Assistant to open the app or play a certain show from the app. You can also add Apple Originals shows or movies to your watchlist. Google says that these features will be available globally in the coming months.</p>
<p>The Chromecast with Google TV is a $49 streaming device that was announced by Google last year. It comes with a voice remote, so you can call up Google Assistant to launch an app or play a favorite show or movie.</p>
<p>Google has said that the Apple TV app will be available on more Google TV devices later.</p>

And if the latest leaks are true, one of them will be the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv-2020">Apple TV (2020)</a> model. The new device is expected to launch with upgraded SoC, and storage for better streaming.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_358699" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-358699" style="width: 518px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-358699" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k.jpg?x10805" alt="" width="518" height="446" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k.jpg 518w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k-300x258.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/apple-tv-4k-488x420.jpg 488w" sizes="(max-width: 518px) 100vw, 518px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-358699" class="wp-caption-text">Credits: Apple</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>As leaked by LeaksApplePro(via <a href="https://wccftech.com/2020-apple-tv-december-8-release-a12z-bionic/">wccftech</a>) on Twitter, the new Apple TV will sport an <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/a12z-bionic">A12Z Bionic SoC</a>. If you recall, this is the same processor that powers the<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/03/18/apple-ipad-pro-2020-powered-by-a12z-bionic-chip-launched/"> iPad Pro 2020</a> model. This new processor would be a significant upgrade over the A10X Fusion SoC on the current model(fifth-gen).</p>
<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that earlier reports pointed to an <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/a12x">A12X chip</a> which has a GPU core less than the A12Z. But it looks like Apple wants to crank it up a notch with 8-core GPU, and this, along with RAM likely up to 6GB, should ensure a stutter-free experience.</p>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">Apple TV:<br />4K (as I said HD is rip).<br />64/128 GB.<br />A12Z<br />Releasing on Tuesday.<br />Shipping on Friday.<br />Just a summary of what I said 3 days ago.<br />(Free fitness plus is rip, however I still think it’s coming alongside it).<br />Thank me later.</p>

<p>Moving on, the tipster also says that &#8220;HD is rip&#8221;. This suggests that <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple">Apple</a> could skip the HD variant of the <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-tv">Apple TV</a> and just launch a 4K-streaming model. Additionally, the streaming box should have 64/128GB storage, come bundled with an &#8220;Apple Fitness+&#8221; subscription. Here, the tipster isn&#8217;t sure about Apple bundling a free subscription alongside the box, and hence, let&#8217;s wait for the official announcement.</p>
<p>Regarding the design, earlier reports indicate that Apple TV 2020 would look a lot similar to the earlier version. However, the focus will be on the inside. Along with the A12Z, the sixth-generation streaming box is likely to have a cooling solution with a heat sink. Anyway, if the report is true, Apple should announce the product via a press-release(it&#8217;s usual trend for internal upgrades) tomorrow and get it ready to ship from Friday(December 11).</p>
<p>This tip also corroborates with early reports that said Apple contacted Apple Care centers to prepare for updated product variants, new prices, etc. Alongside the Apple TV, Apple is rumored to announce <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/airpods-studio">AirPods Studio</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/24/apple-airtags-patent-designs-use-case-scenarios/">AirTags</a>.</p>
