Gamers looking for a console-like experience on their iPhones can look forward to Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Ubisoft has just made an exciting announcement for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed title. The popular franchise’s latest entry has gone gold and will be released globally a week prior to its original launch date.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release on October 5

In a recent social media post, the gaming giant announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has gone gold, which means that it has received approval from companies like Sony and Microsoft. In other words, it is confirmed to be published on their respective PlayStation and Xbox consoles. This term also signifies the end of the main development and the start of the production stage.

However, this isn’t the primary news since the company further added that the release of the game has been preponed by a week. As per the official announcement, “On behalf of the entire team, we can’t wait for you to explore 9th Century Baghdad with Basim. Your journey now starts on October 5. Save the new date!” This officially confirms the game’s new launch date, with the tweet also sharing a short teaser.

As per the official announcement, the close beta for Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will kick off on 3rd August 2023. The new mobile game from the French developer was made in collaboration with Tencent’s Level Infinite. So for those interested, you can start your journey across third-century China by visiting the official website of Assassin’s Creed Jade and signing up by clicking on “Register & Subscribe”.

The registration for Codename Jade’s closed beta is open till July 27th. Those signing up for the game will also need to check their email for the closed beta questionnaire. The news arrives from Twitter user Access The Animus who shared a LinkedIn post from a Ubisoft executive, who is a part of the Business Development and Brand partnership team. The original LinkedIn post was shared in Japanese and the translation reveals that Ubisoft is seeking a new sponsorship partner for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game for next year.

In other words, the Codename Red title might be released sometime in 2024. The Ubisoft official also added stated that “Assassin’s Creed is really expanding the multi-media front, with podcasts and Manga series. Ubisoft to Release Nine More Assassin’s Creed Games, Six Currently in Development

Assassin’s Creed is a beloved action-adventure franchise that has been around for more than a decade, and it seems that Ubisoft has no intention of slowing down. According to a recent report from Insider Gaming, the publisher is planning on releasing at least nine more Assassin’s Creed games in the coming years, with six currently in development.

The French game publishing company has released 12 Assassin’s Creed games so far, with the first game released in the year 2007. Some 16 years later, the first of these upcoming games is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is expected to be released sometime in August of this year. This game is said to bring the series back to its roots, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. Interestingly, it will be followed by an Assassin’s Creed VR game, which will be announced at E3 and released in the same year. This is a little reminiscent of Valve releasing a VR sequel to Half-Life, Half-Life Alyx in order to maintain its appeal for its VR fanbase.

The next game, Codename Red, is set to feature ninjas in Japan and will have a strong focus on stealth. It’s rumored to be released in 2024, followed by the multiplayer title Assassin’s Creed ‘Invictus’ in 2025, and Codename Hexe in 2026. Codename Jade is also in development, but its release date is still unknown.

But that’s not all. Ubisoft reportedly has three more Assassin’s Creed games in the planning stages. Each of these games will feature a unique spin on the franchise and different gameplay from other titles. Project Nebula, for instance, will take place in India, the Aztec Empire, and the Mediterranean, while Project Raid will be a PvE-based free-to-play game with 4-player co-op mode. Project Echoes is another multiplayer title in the franchise.

It’s clear that Ubisoft is going all-in on Assassin’s Creed, and fans of the series have plenty to look forward to. Europe’s Honor 9 Comes With Assassin’s Creed Unity Exclusive Mobile Game

The Honor 9 was released in Europe on Tuesday in Berlin. Tagged the lightcatcher, the new Honor flagship brings not only premium specs but also an exclusive Assassin’s Creed game.

A user posted a picture of himself playing an Assassin’s Creed game. From the picture you may think it is the Assassin’s Creed mobile game of old. However, a tweet by Honor France confirms that the Honor 9 does come with the Assassin’s Creed Unity mobile game. The tweet also mentions that the game will be exclusive to the Honor 9 for 6 months!

Assassin’s Creed Unity was released back in 2014 by Ubisoft for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but never for mobile. It is good to see it make its way to mobile phones albeit as an exclusive to the Honor 9 for now.

There is no mention of when it will be available for other android phones and iOS but chances are it will be next year.

Games exclusivity isn’t new. Early this month, iOS devices got a sequel to 2014’s popular puzzler, Monument Valley. Ustwo says it will be available for Android soon and that is very vague.

The Honor 9 is a 5.15” FHD phone with 6GB/4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB. It has a Kirin 960 SoC and a 3200mAh battery. Like the Honor 8, it also features dual rear cameras and an improved glass back design.
