ASUS has unveiled its latest ChromeBox mini host powered by the 5-core Intel Celeron 7305 chip. The new model is a low-profile gadget and it is highlighted by its 15W wireless charging support. The ASUS ChromeBox comes with an assortment of ports to deliver high-performance connections with multiple devices.

The new ASUS ChromeBox mini host offers 64GB of DDR5-4800 memory with a 48EU core display. The Intel Celeron 7305 has 1 large core and 4 small cores, 8MB L3 cache, and 15W power consumption. The mini host has a Thunderbolt 4, dual HDMI, DisplayPort, and a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, among others. The ChromeBox mini also has a 4GB+128GB configuration. The performance rating of the new ASUS mini host is tied to the Celeron 7305 processor used in the device.

The new ChromeBox mini host run on ChromeOS and is primarily based on web applications. It is heavily reliant on an internet connection for both software functionality and data storage. Thus the local area network or other wireless network architecture must be solid for optimal performance.

The ASUS ChromeBox mini host is priced at 2,034 yuan (~$294) for the 4GB+128GB version. There are no global availability details for the mini host at this time. There are several competitively priced mini hosts in the market and the ASUS ChromeBox is entering a saturated market. One of its highlights is the wireless charging available with the device but this could be one of the most expensive wireless charging pads currently.
