The Vivobook 16’s battery performance is adequate for most users but not class-leading. Its 42Whr (3-cell) battery offers around 5 hours of real-world usage with moderate brightness and Wi-Fi. Under heavier loads like multitasking or video playback, runtime drops to about 3–4 hours.

Charging is fairly quick—50 percent in around 45 minutes with the compact 65W USB-C charger. In one test, the battery charged from 8% to 80% in roughly an hour. The notebook allows top-ups via compatible power banks or standard PD chargers, making travel and on-the-go use more convenient.

Verdict

The Asus Vivobook 16 is a solid option for those seeking a productivity-oriented laptop with a large screen, robust performance, and a well-built design. While its display falls short in terms of color accuracy and brightness, and the battery life isn’t extraordinary, it still delivers good all-round performance for daily tasks. ASUS has introduced the Zenbook A14 and Vivobook 16 AI-powered laptops in India, following their global debut last month. These Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered laptops were available for pre-order in India and are now directly available to purchase through Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance, ASUS e-shop, and Amazon.in.

Zenbook A14

The Zenbook A14 features a 14-inch full-HD OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 600-nit peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and DisplayHDR 600 True Black certification. Weighing only 980g, it boasts a Ceraluminum chassis for a premium and durable build.

ASUS offers two variants:

• Snapdragon X Elite (45W) – Designed for intensive workloads
• Snapdragon X (28W) – Focused on power efficiency

At the Snapdragon X India event, ASUS introduced the Zenbook A14 and Vivobook 16 laptops, both featuring Snapdragon X processors. Both models run Windows 11 Home and are available for pre-order in India, with deliveries beginning in early March 2025.

The Zenbook A14 is offered with either the Snapdragon X or Snapdragon X Elite processor. It includes 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and up to a 45 TOPS NPU for AI-based tasks. ASUS has included a 70Wh battery, promising extended battery life and fast charging. The Zenbook A14 weighs as little as 980 grams and is constructed from Ceraluminum, which ASUS claims is 30% lighter and three times stronger than typical aluminum alloys.
