Asus has been actively launching laptops in India, but the company has stayed away from the tablet segment for several years. The brand is now making a comeback with the Asus Pad, which is set to launch in India on August 6. While the pricing remains under wraps, the tablet is already official, and its specifications are known after its global unveiling last month.

Asus Pad specifications and features

The Asus Pad comes with a 12.2-inch 2.8K dual-layer OLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate, 3:2 aspect ratio, and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness. The panel offers 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage and is certified for low flicker and reduced blue light emissions. The tablet has a 92% screen-to-body ratio, making it suitable for entertainment and creative tasks. For photography and video calls, it includes a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with Face Unlock support.

The tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM. It runs on Android 16 and comes with up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Users can further expand storage through a microSD card slot supporting up to 1TB. The Asus Pad packs a 9,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, which can charge the device from zero to 50% in around 30 minutes.

The Asus Pad features a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos 360-degree cinematic sound for an immersive audio experience. It also supports Asus Pen 2.0 and compatible Bluetooth keyboards, allowing users to take notes, sketch, edit documents, and handle productivity tasks. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, while the tablet does not offer SIM support. It includes a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 support and uses GlideX for sharing files across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices.

Measuring 271.1 x 182.4 x 6.5mm and weighing 523g, the Asus Pad is designed as a portable tablet for travel, work, learning, and entertainment. It comes with a protective folio case that doubles as a stand with four viewing modes.

The Asus Pad will be available in a Pure White colour option with 128GB and 256GB storage variants. The company has not revealed the pricing yet, but it will be sold through Flipkart.

The laptop is powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 8945H processor with eight cores, 16 threads, boost speeds up to 5.2GHz, Radeon 780M integrated graphics, and Ryzen AI delivering up to 39 TOPS of AI performance. Asus says the cooling system can sustain up to 45W performance with dual fans and dual heat pipes. Users can also switch between Silent, Standard, and Performance cooling profiles depending on their workload.

The laptop is available with 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X memory paired with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. It also includes an extra M.2 2242 slot for storage expansion.

The A14 Air (2026) includes a 70Wh battery, Windows 11 with Office pre-installed, IR facial recognition for Windows Hello, a 180-degree hinge, and MIL-STD-810H durability certification. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, two USB-A ports, one USB4 port with 40Gbps bandwidth, one full-function USB-C port, HDMI, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Asus has released a new budget-tier Bluetooth speaker in China under its Adol branding. The Adol SP103 is currently listed on JD.com for 239 yuan, which converts to roughly $35.

The SP103 is designed as a portable unit, measuring 180 x 180 x 49 millimeters and weighing 575 grams. Asus is selling the device in three pastel color options: Iris Purple, Rose Gold Pink, and Sage Green.

The physical design consists of a high-density fabric grille on the front and a matte metal housing on the back. There is also a raised anti-slip stand built into the rear to keep the speaker steady on flat surfaces like desks or tables.

For audio, the Adol SP103 features a 10W dual-speaker system equipped with full-frequency magnetic drivers and a racetrack-style diaphragm. The speaker covers a frequency response range of 50Hz to 20kHz, allowing it to reproduce both low and high-frequency sounds across a wide range of content.

In terms of connectivity, the speaker equips Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless audio streaming with a transmission range of up to 10 meters. It supports Bluetooth calling, TWS stereo pairing between two speakers, and multi-speaker linking for broader audio coverage during gatherings and events.

If you prefer to bypass wireless connections entirely, the SP103 includes an AUX input for a direct wired connection to laptops, desktop PCs, or projectors. There is also a TF card slot for playing audio files directly from local memory cards.

The device runs on a 2,600mAh lithium battery. Asus says this capacity yields up to 10 hours of continuous playback, provided the volume is kept at 70%. At maximum volume, the battery life drops to about four hours. It charges via a standard USB-C port.

The Strix G16 is the most accessible 2026 ROG laptop you can buy under $1,800. For 2026, Asus fitted it with Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 GPU options. The RTX 5060 configuration starts at around $1,599, putting it squarely in budget.

The screen is a 16-inch 2.5K (2560×1600) display at a fast 300Hz refresh rate, up from 240Hz on the 2025 model. That is one of the fastest screens you will find at this price. Asus calls it a Nebula Display, and it supports 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, meaning games and videos look punchy and accurate. The ACR (Ambient Contrast Ratio) anti-reflective coating significantly reduces glare, which is useful in bright rooms.

Cooling is where the Strix G16 really stands out. Asus designed a multi-layer vapor chamber that goes all the way to the rear of the chassis and is sandwiched between upper and lower heatsinks. Combined with Tri-Fan Technology and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal applied to both the CPU and GPU, it runs quieter than you would expect for a machine this powerful. On the practical side, the 2026 Strix G16 also introduces a tool-less upgrade design: you can swap out RAM and SSD without a screwdriver, and a Q-latch system makes storage swaps even faster.

One thing to keep in mind: the base RTX 5060 model uses a 1080p IPS panel (not OLED) at some retailers, while Asus’s own store configurations offer the higher-resolution 2.5K Nebula Display. Check the exact model number before buying.

Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 11 / Legion 5a Gen 11 (2026)

Lenovo’s new 2026 budget gaming heroes are the Legion 5i Gen 11 (Intel-powered) and the Legion 5a Gen 11 (AMD-powered). Both were announced at CES 2026 and started shipping in April 2026.

The Legion 5i Gen 11 is built on Intel’s new Panther Lake silicon and starts at $1,549. The Legion 5a Gen 11 with AMD Ryzen AI 400 series starts at $1,499, and a lower-tier Ryzen 200 variant begins at just $1,299. All configurations come with NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs capped at the RTX 5060.

The display across the 5-series is a 15.3-inch PureSight OLED, running at 2560×1600 resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of brightness, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification. OLED panels produce true blacks and much more vivid color than standard IPS or even most other panels — this is a clear advantage over the Strix G16’s base IPS option.

Lenovo’s Coldfront cooling system uses vapor chambers and optimized airflow, and the higher-end 5-series models also apply liquid metal thermal compound. The build is all-metal across the board — no plastic lids or creaky hinges. Software-wise, Lenovo’s AI Engine+ automatically manages CPU and GPU power in real time depending on what you are doing, and every laptop ships with Lenovo’s Legion Space app, which handles everything from RGB lighting to AI-powered game coaching tools that analyze your reaction time and in-game accuracy.

Head-to-Head Comparison

Performance

Both laptops run NVIDIA RTX 5060 GPUs with DLSS 4 support. At the same GPU tier, performance is very close. The Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 11’s newer Panther Lake Intel chip gives it a slight edge in CPU-heavy workloads like video editing and streaming. For pure gaming frame rates, results are nearly identical between the two at this GPU tier.

Display

This is the biggest difference between the two. Lenovo’s OLED PureSight panel delivers deeper blacks, faster pixel response times, and more vibrant color than the IPS panel found on the base Strix G16 configurations. However, if you opt for Asus’s own-store version of the Strix G16, you get a 2.5K 300Hz Nebula Display that is significantly sharper and faster than Lenovo’s 165Hz OLED. So the winner here depends on what you value more: OLED richness (Lenovo) or higher refresh rate and sharper resolution (Asus).

Cooling

Both laptops use vapor chambers and are well-cooled for sustained gaming. Asus applies Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal to both chips, not just the CPU — this is a slight edge for the ROG Strix G16 in long, heavy gaming sessions where temperatures matter most.

Portability

Lenovo has a meaningful edge here. The Legion 5-series is a 15.3-inch machine, making it more compact than the 16-inch Strix G16. Lenovo also engineered a lighter, thinner chassis for the 2026 models, which Lenovo says is about 10% lighter than the previous generation. If you carry your laptop often, the Legion 5 wins.

Upgradeability

Both laptops are easier to upgrade than the average gaming machine. The ROG Strix G16 introduced a tool-less RAM and SSD access design in 2026, rivaling the Legion’s existing upgrade-friendly design. Neither laptop soldered its RAM to the board, so you can add memory later as your needs grow.

Value

Lenovo offers a lower entry price and an OLED display right out of the box. Asus offers a faster screen at higher configs. For buyers on a tight budget, the Legion 5a Gen 11 at $1,299 is hard to beat. For buyers who want the fastest display and best thermal performance, the ROG Strix G16 at $1,599 earns its price.

Which One Should You Buy?

Go with the Lenovo Legion 5a Gen 11 if you want the most value for money, prefer an OLED display, or carry your laptop frequently. The $1,299 entry price is exceptional for what you get, and the OLED screen makes everyday use genuinely enjoyable.

Go with the Asus ROG Strix G16 (2026) if you want the fastest screen (300Hz), the best cooling at this price range, or a larger 16-inch display for gaming. It costs a bit more, but Asus’s upgrade-friendly tool-less design and superior thermal engineering make it a machine that can grow with you.

Asus has quietly launched a new a-bean 100W GaN charger in China. Now available for about 179 yuan ($25), it features a compact design and can charge multiple devices at once. 

The new charger uses a 3C+1A port layout offering three USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Asus says the charger is built around GaN (gallium nitride) technology, which allows it to deliver high power output while keeping the overall size relatively small.

According to the official specifications, the a-bean 100W charger measures 75 x 61 x 29mm and weighs around 211 grams. It also features foldable wall prongs, making it easier to carry in a backpack or travel bag. The product is available in multiple color combinations, including Cloud White + Graphite Gray, Cool Black + Fluorescent Green, and Cool Black + Space Gray.

Up to 100W charging from two USB-C ports

The charger’s two main USB-C ports, labeled USB-C1 and USB-C2, can each provide up to 100W of power when used individually. The third USB-C port supports up to 20W, while the USB-A port can output up to 22.5W using the SCP protocol or 18W through Qualcomm Quick Charge.

Asus has also included support for a wide range of fast-charging standards, including USB Power Delivery (PD), PPS, QC, SCP, FCP, QFC, and PE.

Like most modern multi-port chargers, the maximum output changes depending on how many ports are in use. When both high-speed USB-C ports are connected, the charger splits the power between 60W and 30W. Pairing USB-C1 with USB-C3 delivers 60W + 20W, while using USB-C1 and the USB-A port gives 60W + 22.5W.

For users charging three devices at once, Asus offers several power allocation modes. For example, using USB-C1, USB-C2, and USB-C3 together provides 45W + 30W + 20W, while connecting USB-C1, USB-C2, and USB-A results in 45W + 30W + 22.5W output.

When all four ports are active, the charger distributes power at 45W through USB-C1, 30W through USB-C2, and a shared 20W for USB-C3 and the USB-A port. This setup should be enough to fast-charge a laptop while also topping up a phone, wireless earbuds, and another accessory.

Asus has released a new ultra-budget portable Bluetooth speaker in China, and its spec sheet is surprisingly modern for the price. The Asus Adol PO102 is launching for 139 yuan (roughly $20).

The exterior is constructed from a combination of a fabric grille and a non-slip silicone shell to provide a better grip. Asus has also integrated a carrying strap into the design so users can attach it to a backpack or hang it up. The speaker is available in three colors: Meteorite Gray, Iris Purple, and Sage Green.

In terms of physical design, the Adol PO102 is built for easy transport. It weighs 200 grams and measures 109.5 by 82.5 by 38mm, making it small enough to carry in a bag or a large coat pocket.

For audio output, the speaker delivers 6W of power. This level of output is standard for a device of this size and is generally sufficient for personal listening or small groups. To expand the audio setup, the Adol PO102 supports TWS pairing. This allows users to link two identical units together for stereo sound or network multiple compatible speakers for a broader audio setup.

Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 6.0, which provides a standard 10-meter wireless range. The speaker also includes Auracast broadcast audio support, a feature that allows audio to be shared wirelessly across multiple compatible devices at the same time.

For users who prefer not to rely on a smartphone or an internet connection, the speaker includes a microSD (TF) card slot for direct, offline music playback. Additionally, it has a built-in microphone to support hands-free phone calls.

The device is powered by a 2,600mAh battery. According to Asus, this provides up to 10 hours of continuous playback, assuming the volume is kept at 50%. When the battery is depleted, it recharges via a USB-C port, with a full charge taking between two and three hours.

The speaker carries an IP67 rating. This means it is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand being submerged in up to one meter of water for 30 minutes.

Asus has released the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDN, a 34-inch curved gaming monitor that updates its ultrawide lineup for 2026. First shown at CES earlier this year, the monitor is now available in the US for $1,299.

The monitor comes with the latest Tandem RGB QD-OLED panel from Samsung. Instead of the triangular sub-pixel layout found on older QD-OLED displays, this monitor uses a standard RGB stripe arrangement.

This is a practical update because it helps fix the text fringing issues that often make OLEDs frustrating to use for regular desktop work and reading. The screen features a standard 1800R curve, a 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 360Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms response time.

Asus is also using a new anti-reflective coating it calls BlackShield film. The company says this makes the screen more resistant to scratches, but more importantly for daily use, it is designed to keep black levels looking dark in bright rooms. Older QD-OLED panels tend to look slightly purple when ambient light hits the screen, so this coating aims to reduce that effect. For HDR content, the monitor reaches a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space.

To help prevent OLED burn-in, Asus included a custom heatsink and a proximity sensor built into the monitor. If you get up and walk away from your desk, the sensor notices and turns the screen black to protect the panel, waking the display back up when you return.

The port selection covers the bases for a modern high-end setup. It includes DisplayPort 2.1a with 80Gbps of bandwidth, meaning it can run the full 1440p resolution at 360Hz without needing display stream compression.

You also get two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB-A hub, and a USB-C port that handles video while providing 90W of power to charge a laptop. There is a built-in KVM switch as well, allowing you to share one keyboard and mouse between two computers.

Because the CPU, GPU, and up to 128GB of unified memory work together on a single platform, users may be able to run advanced AI models, edit high-resolution videos, and handle demanding creative workloads locally without relying heavily on cloud services.

Asus has launched its new Dawn 7 Pro laptop series in China, with the devices now available for purchase on JD.com. The new lineup comes with 14-inch and 16-inch screens, AMD’s latest Ryzen AI processors, high-refresh-rate displays, and a slim metal design.

The Asus Dawn 7 Pro is available in four configurations. The 14-inch model with the Ryzen AI 5 430 processor, 32GB RAM, and 1TB storage retails for 9,499 yuan ($1,404). Whereas the Ryzen AI 7 445 version with the same memory and storage costs 9,999 yuan ($1,478).

Meanwhile, the 16-inch model starts at 7,999 yuan ($1,182) with the Ryzen AI 5 430 processor, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. The higher-end Ryzen AI 7 445 variant is priced at 8,499 yuan ($1,256).

Asus Dawn 7 Pro Specifications

Under the hood, the Dawn 7 Pro can be configured with AMD’s Ryzen AI 7 445 processor. The chip is built on a 4nm manufacturing process and features six cores and 12 threads. It can reach clock speeds of up to 3.4GHz and is paired with Radeon 840M integrated graphics. Asus says the system can deliver up to 54W of performance.

The laptop supports up to 32GB of DDR5-6400MHz memory and 2TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD via dual M.2 slots.

On the display side, both the 14-inch and 16-inch versions feature IPS panels with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. The screens offer a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 400 nits, and 100% sRGB coverage.

Asus has also focused on portability. The Dawn 7 Pro features a slim and lightweight metal chassis along with an 180-degree hinge that allows the screen to lie flat.

For connectivity, the laptop includes Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB-A, USB-C, and RJ45 ports. The 16-inch version additionally features a full-size keyboard with half-height arrow keys and a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.

Asus is bringing healthcare back into the spotlight at Computex 2026, and the new VivoWatch 6 Plus is one of the more notable examples. While the company unveiled plenty of AI-focused hardware this week, the smartwatch stands out because it’s clearly aimed at something bigger than fitness tracking.

At first glance, the VivoWatch 6 Plus looks like a significant step up from the VivoWatch 6 from 2024. The display has grown to 1.43 inches from 1.39 inches on the predecessor, and Asus has added sapphire crystal protection and a titanium alloy case. Together, those changes give the watch a more premium feel than earlier models.

The health side is where most of the changes are. ECG and blood pressure monitoring are still here, but Asus has added sleep breathing movement analysis and gait tracking as well. Neither feature is entirely new to the broader wearables market, but together they suggest Asus is trying to build a more complete picture of a user’s long-term health rather than simply recording daily metrics.

What’s interesting is how the watch fits into the company’s larger plans. Asus spent a good portion of its Computex presentation talking about AI-powered healthcare, and the VivoWatch 6 Plus appears to be part of that ecosystem. Data collected by the watch can feed into the company’s AI Agent healthcare platform, which was demonstrated alongside the new Handheld Ultrasound DuoScan.

In other words, Asus isn’t pitching this as just another smartwatch. The idea seems to be creating a connected health platform where wearables, diagnostic tools, and AI software all work together. That’s an ambitious goal, though it’s still early days.

The VivoWatch 6 included sensors for ECG, PPG, and body composition tracking. There was also the lighter VivoWatch 6 Aero, aimed at users who preferred something smaller and less watch-like. The new Plus model feels like Asus combining both approaches—more premium hardware on one side, deeper health analytics on the other.

Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, so it’s hard to say where Asus intends to position the device against competitors. Even so, the VivoWatch 6 Plus feels like one of those products worth keeping an eye on.

Asus just announced the 2026 version of its TUF Gaming 16 laptop. It is a straightforward update that brings current-generation Intel and Nvidia hardware to the lineup, along with a few practical design tweaks focused on cable management and reducing fan noise. Pricing and availability details remain unknown at the moment.

Asus TUF Gaming 16 Specifications

Inside, the laptop can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor, which features eight performance cores, eight efficiency cores, and a peak clock speed of 5.2GHz. For graphics, Asus is offering up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The GPU is capped at an 85W maximum Total Graphics Power (TGP).

This isn’t the highest power limit available for a mobile 5070, which shows Asus is leaning toward power efficiency and temperature control rather than pushing for absolute maximum frame rates. It does, however, support Nvidia’s DLSS 4 upscaling to help with performance in heavier games.

The cooling system utilizes dual 80-blade fans and three heat pipes and will keep fan noise at or below 40dB when running under full load in Turbo Mode. For a gaming laptop, 40dB is relatively quiet and should prevent the machine from sounding overwhelmingly loud during heavy use. The cooling system also includes integrated dust filters and routes air over the motherboard to cool surface-mounted components.

On the outside, the laptop has a basic all-black finish. Asus added an anti-fingerprint coating to the keyboard deck to help keep it clean, and the screen hinge can open flat to 180 degrees. As usual for the TUF series, it carries a MIL-STD-810H durability rating for basic drop and vibration resistance.

Coming to the connectivity, Asus has moved the bulky connections, specifically the power jack, HDMI, and Ethernet ports, to the back of the laptop. The sides house three USB-A ports and one USB-C port, which support DisplayPort 2.1 and USB power delivery.

As for memory and storage, both are fully upgradeable. You can configure the laptop with up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD right out of the box, but you also have the option to open the chassis and swap out the dual RAM and SSD sticks yourself down the road.

Asus has announced a special anniversary version of its ROG NUC, and the hardware inside is about as excessive as you would expect.

Called the ROG NUC 16 Edition 20, the compact gaming PC was unveiled to celebrate 20 years of the Republic of Gamers brand. At first glance, the biggest difference is the design. Asus has given the system semi-transparent side panels and gold-colored accents, making it look noticeably different from the standard ROG NUC 16.

The more interesting changes are on the inside.

Like the regular model, the Edition 20 uses Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX processor, a 24-core chip based on Arrow Lake-HX. Memory can be configured up to 128GB of DDR5-6400, which is a surprisingly large amount for a machine this size.

The graphics upgrade is where things get serious. Instead of the RTX 5080 Laptop GPU found in the standard model, Asus has opted for NVIDIA’s RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB of GDDR7 memory.

For a mini PC, that is a lot of graphics horsepower. Only about 15% to 20% of all Mini PCs on the market pack truly capable graphics for gaming.

The system itself occupies roughly three liters of space, making it closer in size to a small console than a traditional gaming desktop. Keeping that kind of hardware cool is not a trivial task, so Asus relies on a triple-fan cooling system and a vapor chamber design. According to the company, the RTX 5090 can operate at power levels up to 175W.

Connectivity is about what you would expect from a premium gaming machine. Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, dual HDMI 2.1 ports, dual DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, multiple USB ports, and 2TB of PCIe 5.0 storage all come standard. There is also room for an additional M.2 SSD.

What’s interesting about products like this is that they blur the line between gaming laptops and desktops. The hardware is clearly laptop-derived, but the form factor behaves more like a desktop that happens to be unusually small.

Whether that trade-off makes sense will depend largely on pricing, which Asus has not disclosed yet. Limited-edition ROG products rarely come cheap, and a mini PC carrying an RTX 5090 was never going to be a budget option anyway.

Still, if the idea of fitting flagship gaming hardware into something barely larger than a game console sounds appealing, the ROG NUC 16 Edition 20 is probably one of the more extreme examples we’ve seen so far.

Asus is returning to the mainstream tablet market after several years with the launch of the new Asus Pad. Interestingly, the announcement comes just months after the company officially confirmed its exit from the smartphone market.

The Asus Pas is built around a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display that offers a 2.8K resolution (2800 x 1840) and a 144Hz refresh rate. Asus says the tandem (or dual-layer) OLED technology uses two OLED emission layers, helping improve brightness, power efficiency, and panel lifespan compared to traditional OLED screens. The display also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and reaches up to 600 nits of typical brightness.

Powering the device is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 chipset, built on a 4nm process. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Users can further expand storage through a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 1TB.

For entertainment, Asus has equipped the tablet with a quad-speaker system featuring Dolby Atmos support. The company says the setup is designed to deliver a more immersive audio experience while watching videos, playing games, or listening to music.

Asus has announced its latest generation of ProArt creator PCs, and the big story isn’t just the sleek new chassis designs; it’s the silicon inside. The new ProArt P16 and ProArt P14 are among the first Windows machines to run on Nvidia’s new RTX Spark superchip.

If you’ve been following the AI PC trend, you know the bottleneck for running heavy AI models locally has largely been memory and compute power. Testing thin-and-light laptops usually involves looking for the compromises the manufacturer had to make. When a device gets thinner, you often lose ports. When it gets lighter, the battery capacity usually shrinks. If it packs a high-end processor, the cooling fans tend to get loud under load.

For the past two weeks, I have been using the new Asus Zenbook S14 (UX5406AA) as my primary work machine. This model comes equipped with Intel’s Panther Lake Core Ultra 9 386H processor, an OLED display, and a chassis made from a material Asus calls Ceraluminum. I received the Antrim Gray variant for this review, which retails in India for Rs. 249,990.

After spending a significant amount of time working, running benchmarks, and trying to play a few games on it, my takeaway is fairly straightforward. This is a very capable and well-built laptop for professionals who prioritize battery life and portability. However, its reliance on integrated graphics means it won’t be the right fit for everyone, especially at this price point. Here is a detailed breakdown of my experience.

Design and Build Quality

When a new laptop arrives, the first thing I check is whether the lid can be opened with one hand. It is a minor detail, but it shows how well the manufacturer balanced the weight and hinge tension. The Zenbook S14 passes this test easily; the lid opens smoothly without lifting the base off the desk.

The chassis feels different from the standard aluminum laptops on the market. Asus uses Ceraluminum, which is essentially aluminum that has undergone a ceramization process. The result is a laptop that feels sturdy but has a matte, slightly textured finish. I received the Antrim Gray version for this review, and the texture does a good job of resisting fingerprints, which helps keep the laptop looking clean throughout the workday.

At 1.19 to 1.29 cm thick and weighing 1.20 kg, the Zenbook S14 is very easy to carry. It fits comfortably into a backpack without adding much weight. Despite being so light, the build feels rigid.

There is no noticeable flex in the keyboard deck, and it carries a MIL-STD 810H military-grade certification for durability. Above the keyboard, there is a geometric CNC-machined grille. While it looks like a speaker setup, it is actually a thermal venting system designed to help with cooling.

Display & Audio

For a laptop in this price range, the display needs to perform well, and the 14-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) Asus Lumina OLED panel delivers. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, 500-nit SDR brightness, and a peak HDR brightness of 1100 nits.

During my testing, whether I was looking at spreadsheets, editing photos, or watching videos, the OLED panel provided deep blacks and accurate colors that cover 100% of the DCI-P3 gamut. The 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and navigating Windows 11 feel smooth. The touchscreen is also a helpful addition for quickly tapping through menus or zooming in on images.

The main drawback here is the glossy finish on the screen. If you are working in a brightly lit office or sitting next to a window, reflections can be noticeable. You can increase the screen brightness to compensate, but a more effective anti-reflective coating would have been a nice inclusion. The display hinge is also fairly flexible, allowing the screen to recline to roughly 120 to 130 degrees. It doesn’t offer a full 180-degree lay-flat design, but the available range should be sufficient for most everyday use cases.

For audio, the laptop has a four-speaker system tuned by Harman Kardon, with Dolby Atmos support. The sound quality is good for a laptop of this size. The mids are clear, which makes human voices in videos and online meetings easy to hear. However, if you turn the volume all the way up, the bass starts to sound a bit thin. It is fine for casual listening, but you will still want headphones for a better audio experience.

Ports & Connectivity

The common issue with thin laptops is the lack of ports, but Asus has provided a practical selection here.

On the left side, there is a full-sized HDMI 2.1 port, two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports (both support charging and display output), and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the right side, there is a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port. Having a standard USB-A port and an HDMI port means you can connect older flash drives or external monitors without needing to carry a dongle.

The only omission that stings is the lack of an SD or microSD card slot. If you are a photographer or videographer, you will still need to carry an adapter. For wireless connectivity, the laptop is fully future-proofed with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, ensuring rock-solid connections on modern networks.

Keyboard, Trackpad & Biometrics

The keyboard on the Zenbook S14 is comfortable for long typing sessions. It is a backlit chiclet keyboard with 1.1mm of key travel, which is a decent amount of depth for a thin laptop. The keys have a slight 0.1mm indentation that helps guide your fingers. I got used to the layout quickly and had no issues maintaining my normal typing speed.

The trackpad is large, measuring 127 x 79mm, and has a smooth, anti-fingerprint coating. Tracking and swiping feel accurate. However, it uses a traditional mechanical click rather than a haptic feedback system. While it works fine, the physical click doesn’t feel quite as refined as the haptic trackpads found on some competing laptops in this price range.

For security, the laptop relies entirely on Windows Hello IR facial recognition because there is no fingerprint sensor. The face unlock works reliably in most lighting conditions, but I generally prefer having a fingerprint reader as a backup option.

The 1080p webcam is adequate for standard video calls, but the image quality can look a bit soft and noisy. Given the price of the laptop, I expected a slightly better camera sensor. If you rely heavily on video meetings and need a clearer picture, you might want to consider an external option like the Obsbot Tiny 3 series, which we recently reviewed.

CPU & AI Performance

My review unit came with the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor. This chip has 16 cores (4 Performance, 8 Efficiency, 4 Low-Power Efficiency) and is paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

In daily use, the laptop handles standard tasks easily. Whether I was working with multiple Chrome tabs, editing documents, or doing some light photo editing, the system remained responsive. The single-core Geekbench score of 2,801 reflects this snappy day-to-day performance, and the multi-core score of 16,525 shows it can handle moderate multitasking without slowing down. The boot times are minimal, and transferring large files takes very little time.

As a Copilot+ PC, it includes an NPU rated for up to 50 TOPS. This allows local AI features, like Live Captions and Windows Studio Effects (which handles background blur and auto-framing on video calls), to run directly on the device rather than relying on cloud processing. It also includes a dedicated Copilot key, allowing quick access to the AI assistant with a single click.

GPU Performance

While the CPU performance is strong, the graphics performance is where the Zenbook S14 shows its limitations. Because this laptop uses the Core Ultra 9 386H, it relies on Intel’s integrated Xe3 graphics rather than a dedicated GPU.

In synthetic graphics tests, the scores reflect this. In 3DMark Time Spy, it scored 2,760 overall. The Night Raid test, which is designed for integrated graphics, yielded a score of 22,922. In the Steel Nomad Light test, it hovered around 1,935 to 2,051 points, outputting roughly 14 to 15 frames per second.

I tested a few games to see how this translates to real-world use. If you play lighter, optimized esports titles like Valorant, the laptop performs well. I was getting between 153 and 200 FPS, making it highly playable.

However, when you move to more demanding games, the integrated graphics struggle. In PUBG, running on DirectX 11, the frame rate hovered around 30 FPS with the GPU usage maxed out at 98%. It is playable if you don’t mind lower frame rates, but you will need to turn the settings and resolution down for a smoother experience. Genshin Impact showed varying results depending on the environment; it hit 60 FPS on low settings but dropped to around 32 FPS on high settings in more complex scenes.

Ultimately, this is not a laptop for serious gamers or professionals who need heavy GPU acceleration for 3D rendering or complex video editing. It can handle basic online multiplayer games, but it has a clear ceiling.

Thermal and Fan Performance

Managing heat in a 1.1 cm thick chassis is difficult, but the cooling system here works reasonably well. It uses a vapor chamber, dual fans, and the venting grille above the keyboard.

Using the MyAsus app, you can choose between Whisper, Standard, and Performance fan profiles. I left it on Standard for most of my testing, and the laptop stayed quiet during regular work.

The fans only become noticeable (44dB) when running benchmarks or games. Under heavy load, the bottom of the chassis and the area near the exhaust vents do get warm, but the keyboard and palm rests stay cool enough to type comfortably.

Battery Life

Battery life is one of the strongest aspects of the Zenbook S14. While I kept the power cable plugged in during benchmark testing to ensure maximum performance, I used it purely on battery power for my regular daily work.

The laptop is equipped with a 77Wh battery, which is a generous capacity for a 14-inch thin-and-light device. With moderate usage, which for me includes web browsing, writing documents, checking emails, and watching YouTube videos at medium brightness, the laptop consistently lasted around 14 to 16 hours.

This level of endurance means you can comfortably take the laptop on a business trip or to a coffee shop without needing to bring the charger along. It easily gets through a full workday with power to spare. When you do need to recharge, the included 68W USB-C adapter works fine, though the brick itself is a bit traditional in its design and slightly bulky compared to the sleekness of the laptop.

It is also worth mentioning that the S14 actually supports up to 100W fast charging via its USB-C ports. However, to take advantage of those faster top-up speeds, you will need to purchase and carry your own 100W adapter, as Asus only includes the standard 68W charger in the box.

Final Verdict

After two weeks of testing, the Asus Zenbook S14 (UX5406AA) proves to be a well-executed ultrabook that knows its target audience.

The Ceraluminum build is practical and looks professional, the OLED display is vibrant and sharp, and the keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions. Most importantly, the combination of the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and the 77Wh battery provides a great balance of snappy office performance and genuine all-day battery life.

However, the current pricing in India is quite steep. At Rs. 2,49,990, you are paying a premium for the thin-and-light form factor and the new materials. For that price, the average webcam, the lack of a fingerprint sensor, and the slightly hollow feel of the trackpad click are noticeable drawbacks. Furthermore, the integrated Xe3 graphics mean this laptop is strictly for productivity and media consumption, not for gaming or heavy graphical workloads.

If you are a professional whose daily routine involves documents, web-based applications, and frequent travel, the Zenbook S14 is a reliable, long-lasting companion. But if your work or hobbies require strong GPU performance, you will need to look at other options in this price range.

Asus has officially launched the Asus ROG Rapture GT-BN98 Pro, and the company is calling it the world’s first Wi-Fi 8 gaming router. The new router has already picked up attention after winning a Best Choice Award at this year’s COMPUTEX Taipei International Computer Show.

The GT-BN98 Pro is designed around the upcoming Wi-Fi 8 standard, also known as IEEE 802.11bn. While Wi-Fi 8 hasn’t been finalized yet, Asus says the router can deliver up to twice the throughput and twice the IoT coverage of previous-generation models, especially across medium-to-long distances where signals usually begin to weaken.

That means fewer slowdowns in places like garages, patios, or upstairs rooms, at least according to Asus’ own testing. The company also says Wi-Fi 8 improves communication between routers and connected devices to help low-powered smart home gadgets maintain a more stable connection.

Gaming and Hardware

Asus is also emphasizing gaming here, which isn’t surprising given the Republic of Gamers branding. There’s also a dedicated 10G gaming port that automatically prioritizes gaming traffic without requiring manual setup. On the USB side, Asus includes one 5Gbps USB port and another USB 2.0 port.

The router also uses a thicker aluminum top plate, an upgraded nanocarbon coating, and a redesigned airflow system that improves heat dissipation by up to 35 percent compared to the older Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000.

Like most premium routers in 2026, the GT-BN98 Pro brings software features like upgraded AiProtection security tools, VLAN controls, guest networks for IoT and kids’ devices, VPN support, and real-time Wi-Fi interference monitoring.

The Snapdragon X processors have mostly been found in laptops so far, but Asus is trying something different. The company just released the Asus VM441 in India, and it’s an all-in-one (AiO) desktop built around the ARM-based Snapdragon X chip.

The idea is to offer a basic, quiet computer for a home office or living room. Because the Snapdragon chip doesn’t generate as much heat as typical desktop processors, Asus managed to keep the computer’s profile pretty thin.

It features a 23.8-inch 1080p touchscreen with standard specs, 300 nits of brightness, and 100% sRGB color coverage. It sits on a simple metal stand that lets you adjust the tilt, and the whole machine comes in a plain white finish.

Under the hood, it has an 8-core Snapdragon X processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and either 512GB or 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. Since it has the Qualcomm NPU built-in (hitting 45 TOPS), it qualifies as a Copilot Plus PC.

In practical terms, that just means it can handle some local AI tasks, like blurring your background on video calls or filtering out microphone noise, without slowing down the main processor.

The port situation is decent for a home PC. On the back, you get an HDMI port, an Ethernet jack, and three USB-A ports. There is also a USB-C port and a headphone jack on the side where they are easier to reach.

For video calls, there is a 5-megapixel camera that supports Windows Hello facial login and includes a physical privacy slider. Asus also throws in a wireless mouse and keyboard, plus a copy of Microsoft Office Home 2024.

For wireless connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The VM441 ships with the Single Language edition of Windows 11 Home.

Pricing and Availability

The Asus VM441 is available now in India. The 512GB model costs ₹1,01,990, and the 1TB version is ₹1,11,990. You can buy it online through Amazon, Flipkart, or the Asus website, as well as in physical stores like Croma.

Asus has quietly added a new portable Bluetooth speaker to its Adol sub-brand lineup in China. The new device is currently listed on JD.com for 239 yuan ($35). For that price, it offers a fairly standard but useful set of features for a portable audio device, including a 20W speaker setup, customizable RGB lighting, and a few different ways to play your music.

On the outside, the speaker is clearly designed to be easy to carry around. It weighs 480 grams and measures 142 by 86 by 57mm, making it small enough to toss into a backpack.

Asus included a built-in strap for carrying or hanging the device, and it comes with an IPX7 water-resistance rating. You can pick it up in four colors: Meteorite Gray, Rose Gold Pink, Sage Green, and Iris Purple.

For audio, the speaker uses a 20W triple-driver system. This includes two bass drivers and a single dedicated tweeter. If you want a wider sound, the speaker supports True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing, so you can link it up with other compatible units to create a stereo setup.

The front of the device features the Adol logo, surrounded by an RGB light ring. There are five lighting modes to choose from, including a setting that syncs the lights to the beat of whatever you are listening to.

Connectivity is straightforward. It runs on Bluetooth 6.0, which Asus says provides a stable connection up to 10 meters away. If you prefer not to use Bluetooth or want to save your phone’s battery, the speaker also has a TF card slot and an AUX input for wired connections. There is also a built-in microphone for taking hands-free calls.

Inside, the speaker is powered by a 2000mAh battery. Asus estimates it will last up to 10 hours on a single charge. However, like most battery claims, there is a catch: you have to keep the volume at 50% and leave the RGB lighting turned off to actually get that much time out of it. Right now, there is no word on whether Asus will release the speaker outside of China.

Asus is releasing a new gaming laptop in China, the Tianxuan 7 Pro (Intel Edition), alongside the Tianxuan 7 Pro Max. Pre-orders start on May 8, when the company also plans to announce pricing. It is a 16-inch laptop that runs on Intel‘s new Core Ultra 200HX processors and Nvidia’s RTX 50-series graphics cards.

Asus is offering a few different configurations for this model. You can pair the Core Ultra 7 251HX with an RTX 5060, 16GB of RAM, and either 512GB or 1TB of storage. If you opt for the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, you can choose between the RTX 5060 and the RTX 5070, with RAM options of 16GB or 32GB.

The Core Ultra 9 processor features a hybrid architecture with 18 cores and 18 threads, reaching clock speeds of 5.1GHz. It also includes an NPU to handle background AI tasks. On the graphics side, both the RTX 5060 and 5070 options come with 8GB of GDDR7 memory and run at up to 115W. They support DLSS 4.5, which helps maintain frame rates in more demanding games.

The screen is a 16-inch, 2560 x 1600 panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It has a 300Hz refresh rate, a 3ms response time, and reaches 500 nits of brightness. It covers the DCI-P3 color space and includes an anti-glare coating and G-Sync to help prevent screen tearing.

To manage heat, the laptop uses a dual-fan cooling system with rear exhausts. The system can handle up to 180W of total platform power, allowing the CPU to draw up to 90W and the GPU up to 115W under load. The laptop weighs 2.25kg and is 17.9mm thick.

Inside, there are two M.2 slots for storage upgrades and two RAM slots. It runs on a 90Wh battery and supports 100W charging over USB-C. The port selection includes one Thunderbolt 4, one standard 10Gbps USB-C, three USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, an Ethernet jack, and a headphone jack. Asus is releasing a new 18-inch gaming laptop in China called the Tianxuan 7 Pro Max. Scheduled to go on sale starting May 8th, the laptop is a large, desktop-replacement style machine that pairs AMD’s current high-end processors with Nvidia’s new RTX 50-series graphics cards.

Inside, the laptop runs on the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor, a 16-core, 32-thread chip designed for heavy workloads and gaming. For graphics, buyers have a few configuration options: an RTX 5060, an RTX 5070, or the higher-tier RTX 5070 Ti. To manage the heat generated by these components, Asus is using a dual-fan cooling system with 0.1mm fan blades. Under heavy load, the laptop is rated to handle a total system power draw of up to 205W.

The screen is an 18-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution. It features a 300Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time. The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, reaches 500 nits of brightness, and includes Nvidia G-Sync to prevent screen tearing. Asus also applied an anti-glare coating to help with visibility in bright rooms.

For memory and storage, the base models start with 16GB of RAM, while higher configurations offer 32GB of dual-channel DDR5-5600 memory. All models come with a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. The motherboard includes dual memory slots and dual M.2 slots, meaning users can open the laptop and upgrade both the RAM and storage themselves later on.

Given the 18-inch screen, the Tianxuan 7 Pro Max is a heavy device. It weighs roughly 2.8kg and measures 1.89cm thick. It features an asymmetrical, mechanical-themed chassis design and a 180-degree hinge.

The system is powered by a 90Wh battery that supports fast charging, reaching about a 50% charge in 30 minutes. It also supports 100W USB-C charging.

The most useful hardware addition is the power pass-through system. The monitor includes two USB-C ports (which support DisplayPort Alt Mode) and a mini-HDMI port.

A new report from Android Headlines claims that the company is working on a new tablet called the Asus Pad, while also revealing leaked renders and early hardware details of the device.

Asus Pad’s first details leaked

According to the leak, the Asus Pad could feature a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is also expected to include Dolby-related enhancements for media playback.

The tablet reportedly has slim and symmetrical bezels around the display, while the chassis appears to feature a metal frame with slightly curved edges for a more comfortable grip. The rear panel is said to remain flat and includes a small camera module housing a single rear camera along with an LED flash.

The leaked information also points to a thin and lightweight construction. The tablet is said to measure just 6.5mm in thickness and weigh around 523 grams. Despite the slim profile, the device is tipped to include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, suggesting that Asus may position it as a strong entertainment-focused tablet.

The Asus Pad is also expected to pack a 9,000mAh battery with support for fast charging, although the exact charging speed has not yet been revealed. Details regarding the chipset, RAM, storage variants, pricing, and launch timeline are still under wraps.

Alongside the tablet, leaked images also show what appears to be an official transparent case accessory. The case reportedly includes a foldable origami-style stand that can support the tablet in multiple viewing angles for media streaming or desk use.

Alongside the ExpertBook Ultra, Asus has also refreshed its ExpertBook P3 and P5 series in India. These are more affordable options for businesses that don’t necessarily need the Ultra’s premium build but still want capable hardware.

The P3 and P5 series cover both 14-inch and 16-inch form factors, with anti-glare displays across the lineup. Resolution goes up to WQXGA, and brightness reaches around 400 nits. Some P5 variants also include OLED panels if your work demands that.

As for performance, the P3 series uses Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 H-series processors with Intel Arc graphics. The P5 series steps things up slightly with newer Core Ultra chips, including configurations with NPUs capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS on select Copilot+ models.

The memory options go up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage, with some models supporting expansion through dual M.2 slots and upgradeable RAM.

For video calls, you get a standard 1080p webcam, and some models have a higher-resolution 5-megapixel variant with IR support. All the variants have a privacy shutter as standard. 

Rest of the specs

Both the ExpertBook P3 and P5 series have necessary connectivity options, with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1, and even RJ45 Ethernet on certain models.

For battery, the P3 models support 65W charging, while P5 variants range from 63Wh to 70Wh batteries, with charging speeds between 65W and 90W depending on the model. 

All models carry MIL-STD-810H certification and include spill-resistant keyboards. Security features include TPM, fingerprint sensors, BIOS protection, and IR-based Windows Hello support on select variants.

The P3 14-inch starts at 1.43kg, while the 16-inch version goes up to 1.77kg. The P5 models are slightly lighter in some configurations, starting around 1.29kg for the 14-inch variant.

Pricing and Availability 

Pricing starts at Rs. 94,990 for the P3 series, while the P5 lineup begins at Rs. 2,14,990. The P3 is already available for purchase with launch discounts, while the P5 is expected to roll out soon.

Asus is expanding its business laptop lineup in India with the launch of the ExpertBook Ultra. It’s a premium Copilot+ PC featuring Intel’s latest Core Ultra chips with a light chassis that dips below the 1kg mark.

The ExpertBook Ultra is built around a 14-inch OLED panel, with an option for a tandem OLED display. The resolution goes up to WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800), and Asus is pushing HDR brightness up to 1400 nits. It also covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and uses Gorilla Glass Victus on top. 

Internally, the ExpertBook Ultra runs on Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 processors, including options like the Core Ultra X7 358H and Core Ultra 5 325. These chips come with a built-in NPU that lifts the Copilot+ AI tasks. The company claims up to 50 TOPS of AI performance through Intel AI Boost.

Memory and storage are fairly high-end. The laptop can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe 5.0 SSD storage. It runs Windows 11, with Pro and Home variants depending on the configuration.

The laptop also has a 1080p IR webcam that can upscale to 5 megapixels using AI, along with a privacy shutter. Audio is handled by a six-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.

Rest of the specs 

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack. There’s no real compromise here, which is still something not all thin laptops manage.

The chassis is where Asus is making a clearer statement. The ExpertBook Ultra weighs just under 1kg, starting at 0.99kg, and uses a magnesium-aluminium alloy with a nano-ceramic finish. It also carries MIL-STD-810H certification as durability assurance.

The device runs on a 70Wh battery paired with 90W charging. Its security features include Asus ExpertGuardian, along with TPM 2.0, a fingerprint sensor, and IR-based facial recognition. 

Pricing and Availability 

In India, the ExpertBook Ultra starts at Rs 2,39,990. It’s available in Morn Grey and Jet Fog finishes, and pre-orders are currently open through Flipkart. Asus is also bundling extended warranties and bank offers for a limited time.

The device comes with a ProArt SSD Dashboard application that provides real-time monitoring of SSD health and performance, ensuring optimal operation during demanding projects.
