According to a recent report, Samsung has started rolling out One UI 5.1.1 update for Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.

For those unaware, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite was released in 2021. It arrived with Android 11 pre-installed and was expected to receive two major Android updates. Now that the device is running on an Android 13-based OS, it may not receive major Android updates.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Wi-Fi

As per a recent report by SAMmobile, the update is currently live in Europe. The One UI 5.1.1 includes the August security patch that focuses on fixing security vulnerabilities. The patch arrives with a build version ending in CWI2 and a size of around 1 GB. Those wondering what this update has to offer can check the improved features provided below.

Galaxy Tab A7 Lite One UI 5.1.1 improvements and features

In the latest One UI 5.1.1 update, you can now continue to share files via Quick Share even if the other person has left the local Wi-Fi network range. The patch now shows up to four recent apps on the taskbar. You can now set a file expiration window for the files that are being shared privately. The latest patch now gives you access to stop people from downloading the files you shared with them.

Furthermore, those who wish to update the Tab A7 Lite to the latest version can head over to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. It is worth noting that the update is currently available in Europe. However, we expect the company to release it to other countries in the future.

As per the recent post on the OnePlus community page by Winkey W. (software team), the company has started rolling out OxygenOS C.15 (for the OnePlus Nord N20) and OxygenOS C.25 (for the OnePlus Nord N200) in North America. For those wondering, this patch focuses on security enhancement to protect the devices from security breaches. With smartphones storing sensitive data, security breaches have become a real threat. Thus, the company is actively working on security patches to protect the devices from security vulnerabilities.

Additionally, these updates were released for a small percentage of users on 30 August, and the company will begin a broader rollout in a few days.

The update for Nord N20 will be displayed as NA: CPH2459_11.C.15, and for Nord N200, the update will be released as NA: DE2117_11.C.25. If you wish to submit feedback, you can follow the thread or submit this form.

Earlier, we reported that Samsung will stop offering major OS updates for the Galaxy Fold. The company’s first foldable smartphone, which was released back in 2019, reached the end of its 3-year update cycle in 2022. However, this does not mean the company would end all software support for this device. According to recent reports, the Galaxy Fold has just received a new update.

The South Korean tech giant recently rolled out its August security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold series, and the Galaxy Fold owners have also received the update. The update is intended to fix the various security vulnerabilities in the device, so no significant performance improvements were noticed with the update. To check if you have received the patch, users can go to Settings > Software update and tap Download and Install.

Nokia 6.1 Plus, which is the global variant of the Nokia X6 launched in China, recently received a new update with Android Security Patch. With this update, the company has removed the ‘Hide Notch’ option which was available earlier. It’s not clear if this is deliberately done or otherwise.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a notched display. Thus, the company offered an option to hide the notch for those who don’t like this new trend among the smartphone manufacturers. However, with the August Security Patch update, the option to hide the notch is no longer available in Settings.

The changelog of the new update doesn’t mention anything about the removal of the notch hiding option. The Finnish company has not issued any statement yet regarding this, despite people complaining about this on social media.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus features a 5.8-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor paired to Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The internal storage is 64GB and has a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding storage capacity.

The phone has a fingerprint sensor placed on the back panel. Since it is an Android One device, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo stock version. The company has also confirmed that the Nokia 6.1 Plus will be among the first devices from Nokia to receive the latest Android Pie over-the-air (OTA) update.

Camera configuration on the device includes a 16MP + 5MP rear dual camera with large pixels and dual tone dual LED flash. There’s a 16MP snapper on the front side with large 1.0-micrometre pixels and a wide f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity features include dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Type-C USB, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The phone is fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery with Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0 support for fast charging.
