Earlier today, Black Shark launched the Black Shark 4S series in China. The new lineup includes Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S Pro. A special edition smartphone called Black Shark 4S Gundam Limited Edition was also announced with them. Let’s take a look at this device.

The newly unveiled Black Shark 4S Gundam Limited Edition is a result of a collaboration between Black Shark and Bandai Namco Holdings. It is not the first smartphone with Gundam branding. Just two years back in 2019, OPPO released a phone called OPPO Reno ACE Gundam Limited Edition.

The latest Gundam-branded handset also follows the classic white, red, and blue color scheme like the last one. Even the software has the same theme going around with custom wallpapers, icons, and boot animation.

The device also ships with a custom protective case. However, the 120W charger and cable don’t have any theme. They are simply white in color.

The box does not contain any other additional accessories, stickers, or collectibles. Anyway, we couldn’t complain either. That’s because this variant of Black Shark 4S only costs ¥3,499 ($543), which is only ¥200 more than the standard version with the same storage configuration (12GB + 256GB).

Having said that, Black Shark does offer its new TWS and Magnetic Cooler in Gundam flavor. Fans of the anime franchise can purchase them separately, in addition to the phone.
