Bounce Infinity E1 deliveries start from April 18 as the production begins

In December 2021, Bounce announced the country’s first electric scooter with swappable batteries on the market. Initially, the Bounce Infinity E1 was up for pre-booking and later the electric scooter was made available for test rides. Now, finally, the delivery date for the scooter is out.

The Bounce Infinity E1 deliveries will start from April 18 in the country. The company has begun production in full swing to fulfill all the orders. The production is currently happening in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi plant.

The electric scooter with the battery is priced at Rs. 68,999 and for scooters-only, it is priced at Rs. 45,099.

The Infinity E1 is also the company’s first electric scooter and it has plenty of features on its sleeves. The EV is claimed to offer an 85km range on a single charge. The top speed of the electric scooter is 65kmph. It has a 1.5kW motor (83Nm) and a 2kWhr 48V battery pack. It has an IP67 rating and 12-inch wheels.

Bounce is also apparently one of the first to offer battery as a service option. Thanks to this batteries can be swapped and serviced making it convenient for the customers. Also with this, users don’t have to worry about battery health in the long term.

Speaking of range, the electric scooter has three modes namely Drag Mode, Power Mode, and Eco Mode. Users can set the scooter’s mode depending on the distance and speed.

Back in December 2021, Bounce announced the Infinity E1 in the Indian market as the country’s first swappable battery electric scooter. The electric scooter was on pre-booking after its launch with the actual product yet to hit the market. Now, Bounce has announced that it will start test rides in 7 different cities in the Indian market.

Bounce has revealed that the electric scooter will be finally available in the market for a test ride. In fact, it is already available for test rides in Banglore as per its February 24 schedule.

It will be followed by the schedule in Delhi NCR on March 4 and Kochi a few days later, on March 10. Starting from March 15, the electric scooter will be available for test rides in other Major cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The company is also expected to include other cities soon.

In case you pre-booked the scooter or want to try it out by taking a test ride, you can visit the company’s official website. Also, the company is said to allot delivery schedules for all the buyers of the Infinity E1. The company will also be offering the electric scooter in financing options soon.

The Bounce Infinity is priced at Rs. 68,999(~$919) for the electric scooter along with the battery. It costs Rs. 45,099(~$600) for the model without the battery. For that price, the electric scooter offers a range of 85 kilometers on a single charge. It is IP67 rated and has 12-inch wheels.

Earlier today, the last-mile mobility solutions company, Bounce, launched their much-anticipated Infinity e1 electric scooter in India. The scooter has a starting price tag of RS 68,999 ($920) but can also be purchased cheaper without a battery.

The new Bounce Infinity e1 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 68,999, ex-showroom Delhi. However, this is the price of the electric scooter with the battery and a charger. The scooter can also be purchased at Rs 45,099 ($600) without a battery, under the ‘Battery as a service’ option (subscription).

The ‘battery as a service’ option, which Bounce claims to be the first of its kind in the Indian market, is a subscription-based plan that allows customers to purchase the scooter at a relatively low price without the battery. They’ll then rely on Bounce’s battery swapping network instead. Subscribed owners of the Infinity e1 will be able to grab a fully-charged battery and skip the long wait times associated with charging. A battery alone constitutes a large percentage of an EV’s cost, subtracted through the ‘battery as a service’ initiative. The details of this subscription plan will soon be revealed on the company’s website.

Bounce Infinity e1 specs and features

Talking about specifications, The Infinity e1 has a top speed of 65 kmph and can do 0 to 40 kmph in 8 seconds. It boasts a range of up to 85 kilometers on a single charge thanks to its removable 2 kWh lithium-ion battery, which comes with an IP67 rating.

In terms of hardware, the Infinity electric scooter gets disc brakes at both ends and runs on 12-inch wheels. The e1 also features a set of front hydraulic telescopic suspension and twin shock absorbers at the rear, suitable for Indian roads. Bounce claims that it gets a Drag Mode that enables the scooter to move along at walking speed if it has a puncture and a Reverse Mode that allows you to move the scooter backward for ease in getting out of tight parking spots.

It gets a digital speedometer, 12-liter boot space, projector headlights, LED lights, and it can be tracked remotely.

Customers can pre-book this smart scooter by paying an initial refundable payment of Rs 499.

Bengaluru-based last-mile mobility solutions company, Bounce, is all set to introduce its first-ever electric scooter in India. The scooter will be manufactured in the country and will be called Bounce Infinity. The company has promised that the scooter will be equipped with “enhanced state-of-the-art equipment and intelligent features.” Prebookings for the vehicle will be starting soon, with deliveries starting from January 2022.

The most unique bit of the Bounce Infinity is that it will be coming with a removable Li-ion battery that can be removed and charged per requirement. Bounce will even be offering a ‘Battery as a service’ option, which it claims is the first of its kind in the Indian market.

Customers opting for this scheme will be able to purchase the scooter at a relatively low price without the battery. They’ll then be relying on Bounce’s battery swapping network instead. Stations will be set up where owners will be able to simply grab a fully-charged battery and skip the long wait times associated with charging. A battery alone constitutes a large percentage of an EV’s cost, and that’s something that will be subtracted through the ‘Battery as a service’ initiative.

Bounce says that it is rapidly developing its battery-swapping network, which will serve not only its retail customer but also its successful ride-sharing business. Its Infinity scooter will be facing off against rivals like Ola’s S1 e-scooter in an EV market that’s getting increasingly saturated.

Lastly, Bounce has revealed that it has acquired a 100% stake in 22Motors following a deal valued at about $7 million. As part of it, the company acquired a manufacturing plant located at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan along with its intellectual property. The plant is capable of mass production, reaching up to 180,000 units. Bounce is also planning to set up another similar plant in southern India and to invest $100 million in its EV business over the next year.
