New CAD renders of the iPhone 16 Pro offer a fresh glimpse at the upcoming phone’s design, suggesting a familiar look with a few key changes. While some leaks had hinted at a more drastic redesign, these renders, obtained by 91Mobiles, point towards a more iterative approach.

iPhone 16 Pro CAD Renders Leak

The front of the iPhone 16 Pro appears to retain the Dynamic Island introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro. While this sketch depicts a two-island notch for clarity, the final design might resemble the previous version. The back features a camera bump design consistent with previous iPhones, potentially debunking leaks suggesting a more radical camera layout.

The most intriguing additions come in the form of new buttons. The renders showcase a rumored “Capture Button” located on the left side, potentially replacing the mmWave antenna housing. This button could act as a dedicated camera button, allowing for quick photo and video capture, or offer additional functionality like zoom control. Another possibility is it will act as an AI button, reflecting Apple’s growing focus on artificial intelligence.

While the “Capture Button” seems like a reliable addition based on reports from 91mobiles and MacRumors, there’s some discrepancy regarding the Action Button introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro. Some leaks suggest a slightly larger Action Button, while others claim Apple scrapped this idea in favor of keeping the same design.

Beyond buttons, the leaks suggest a slight increase in display size for both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, going from 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively. This aligns with expectations of thinner bezels for a more immersive viewing experience.

The camera system could also see some notable upgrades. The iPhone 16 Pro might borrow the 5X telephoto lens from its bigger sibling, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, offering improved zooming capabilities. Additionally, leaks suggest a 48MP ultra-wide sensor exclusive to the Pro models.

While the design may not be a radical departure, the iPhone 16 Pro appears to offer some interesting refinements. The new buttons, particularly the “Capture Button,” could introduce welcome improvements for photographers and videographers. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro is expected to finally bring some changes in design for the company’s smartphones. Now, new CAD renders have basically revealed the complete design of the iPhone 14 Pro, which features some of the previously rumored design changes.

According to a 91Mobiles report, the Cupertino based giant’s upcoming iPhone models will come in four models. Although, this won’t include a mini model, as per our previous report. Furthermore, the front on the iPhone 14 Pro will see a major redesign, shifting away from the large notch to a two punch hole cut outs for the cameras and the other necessary sensors. Interestingly, Apple is also planning on shipping only the Pro models with the next gen A16 Bionic chipset, while the two base models will feature the previous gen chipset.

In other words, there could be more differences between the vanilla and Pro versions this year. The new CAD renders were shared by sources close to the matter, which revealed the entire design of the iPhone 14 Pro. Apart from the departure of the ugly notch, the device will feature minimal bezels on the front, which makes it look even more premium. The power button is housed on the right, while the left features the SIM card slot, volume rockers, and alert slider.

On the rear, the device seems quite similar to the iPhone 13 Pro with a large square module that houses three camera cut outs. It also features an LED flash, a microphone, and a LiDAR sensor as well. The Pro model is expected to retain the same 6.1 inch display that supports 120Hz ProMotion OLED panel. Under the hood, the A16 Bionic chip is expected to power the device alongside 6GB of RAM.

CAD leaks and other information from the iPhone 13 series shared in a recent video has revealed that Apple might be making the 2021 iPhone’s camera module larger than the previous generation.

As per a video from EverythingApplePro (via MacRumors), the Cupertino based giant is making the camera module of the upcoming iPhone larger, which is likely due to larger sensors and sensor shift stabilization. Looking at the video shared in the video, the iPhone 13 mini, Pro, and Pro Max camera module will all arrive with a “perfect square.” The iPhone 13 Pro Max will reportedly arrive with a camera system that protrudes 0.87mm more  than the current iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Furthermore, the thickness of the overall body thickness has also risen by 0.25mm, as per the supposed CADs. The camera module of the iPhone 12 Pro will be 3.38 taller and 4.77 wider. Talking about the iPhone 13 mini, the CAD has shows a diagonal camera setup that will protrude 0.99mm more than the iPhone 12 mini, and it will be 3.06mm longer in width, and 0.14mm shorter in height.The overall iPhone 13 mini’s body is apparently thicker by 0.26mm as well.

Lastly, the video also depicts the iPhone 13 Pro, with the camera module being 3.41mm taller and 4.81mm wider than the current iPhone 12 Pro model. The noticeably larger camera will include a larger LiDAR sensor, along with better accuracy for corners, edges, and AR. Apart from just the increase in size, the camera system will also protrude 3.65mm, compared to the 2.79mm on the iPhone 12 Pro. Unfortunately, this is still just a leak, so take it with a pinch of salt for now and stay tuned for more updates.

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest smart gadget via its Mijia brand and it is the Mi Car air purifier that the company teased last week as launching soon. Xiaomi seems to have been buoyed by an image which made the rounds on Weibo last week of a man using the Mi home air purifier on an high-speed train while on transit. It is also possible the company had been working on the portable car air purifier before the viral picture emerge.

Xiaomi didn’t need to unveil the smart gadget in a special ceremony but just like other of its Mijia products, it was announced via the Mijia weibo page. The Mi Car air purifier uses the same rectangular shape as other Xiaomi Air Purifiers but there is also a leader strap on the body of the car air purifier with which it is attached firmly inside the car to the head rest.

The Mi Car air purifier also comes with less noise while it is working and has a smaller Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) value of 60m³/h when compared to the Mi Air Purifier Pro with a CADR value of 500m³/h. When it is taken into consideration that this is just for use inside a car with a smaller area, then the CADR value is just adequate to provide clean and fresh air inside the car. It is even touted to filter out impurities and make the air inside the car clean in just 3 minutes.

Although the latest and Xiaomi’s first car air purifier does not come with an OLED display like the Mi Air Purifier Pro, it comes as a smart gadget in that you can check the air quality and other relevant information via the Mi App on smartphones.

Xiaomi has pegged a very generous price tag of 449 yuan (around $64) on the Mi car air purifier and it would officially go on its first sale on December 27 at 10.00am on Mi home, Lynx, Mi store.
