Alienware has unveiled an updated version of its Area-51 gaming desktop at CES 2026, showcasing the latest hardware upgrades. The 80.5-liter chassis uses a positive pressure airflow design where fans direct air inward and exhaust through passive rear vents. This configuration runs 13% cooler, 45% quieter, provides 25% more airflow, and delivers 50% more processing power than systems from five years ago.

The desktop supports AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series processors, including the 9800X3D and 9950X3D with 16 cores and 144MB cache. The AMD X870E chipset motherboard includes 10+2+2 phase voltage regulation, PCIe Gen5 support, and accepts up to 64GB DDR5-6400 memory. Graphics card compatibility extends to 450mm length and four-slot width configurations.

Graphics options include NVIDIA’s RTX 50-series from the RTX 5070 to the RTX 5090 with 32GB GDDR7. The system supports over 200W processor power and 600W graphics power.

Storage configurations range from 1TB to 12TB using three M.2 slots and three additional drive bays for 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives. Liquid cooling includes 240mm and 360mm radiators, with 420mm expansion available after purchase.

MSI is reviving its high-end MEG monitor lineup, recently showcased at CES 2026 earlier this month. The new MEG X goes beyond being a standard hardware upgrade and instead delivers a built-in competitive advantage. Rather than simply displaying the game, the monitor analyzes on-screen activity and provides real-time assistance to the player. In several cases, it introduces features that would normally be considered unfair advantages.

The MEG X is built around a 34-inch fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with a 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio. It runs at a 360Hz refresh rate and has a 0.03ms response time, putting it firmly in the same class as the fastest OLED gaming monitors on the market. MSI itself recommends using these features in single-player games or practice sessions. The situation is similar to Snap Tap Mode on keyboards from Razer, which drew attention for providing input advantages that competitive games quickly moved to restrict. Tournament rules already limit certain mouse and keyboard behaviors, and display-level AI assistance could face the same treatment. The GR70 pairs AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor at 70W with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 or RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. The graphics card draws up to 100W plus 15W via Dynamic Boost, delivering 8GB GDDR6 memory for AAA gaming with ray tracing and AI features.

Memory configurations start at 32GB DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM, expandable to 96GB through dual 48GB modules in dual-channel setup. Storage includes PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs up to 2TB, with PCIe 5.0 support available for enhanced speed.

A triple-fan cooling system maintains performance during extended sessions while managing noise levels. ASUS announced the ExpertCenter PN55 at CES 2026, a mini PC built for business users who need AI features in a small package. It’s a Copilot+ PC running Windows 11 Pro.

The system uses AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors. You can get it with a Ryzen AI 5 430, Ryzen AI 7 445, or Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. These chips run at 40W to 45W cTDP. Graphics come from either a Radeon 840M or Radeon 860M. The built-in NPU hits up to 55 TOPS, which powers Copilot and voice processing.

Memory is DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM. ASUS offers 8GB to 32GB configurations, and the system maxes out at 32GB across two slots. Storage uses PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2280 SSDs. Included options range from 512GB to 1TB, but the system supports up to 2TB.

The PN55 has solid connectivity. It includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and either one or two 2.5G Ethernet ports depending on which model you pick.

Front panel has a dedicated Copilot button, power button, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a combo audio jack, and a fingerprint reader. There’s also a built-in microphone and speaker.

At CES 2026, ASUS introduced the NUC 16 Pro, a compact desktop built for businesses that need local AI processing, solid connectivity, and reliable performance in a small package.

The NUC 16 Pro runs on up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H Series 3 processor with 65W TDP. Other options include Core Ultra X7, Core Ultra 7, and Core Ultra 5 processors. Some models support Intel vPro. Graphics come from either Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics or standard Intel Graphics. The system has a built-in NPU 5 that delivers up to 180 platform TOPS for AI tasks like local inference, analytics, and automation.

Memory depends on which version you get. The LPDDR5x model supports up to 96GB of dual-channel LPDDR5x memory at 9600 MT/s, but you can’t upgrade it later. The DDR5 version has two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and supports up to 128GB, giving you more room to expand. Storage includes two M.2 2280 slots. One supports PCIe Gen 5 x4 and the other supports PCIe Gen 4 x4. SSD options range from 128GB to 8TB.

The NUC 16 Pro runs Windows 11 Home or Pro. It also comes as a barebone kit that works with Linux. You can connect up to four 4K displays at once using Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, or DisplayPort 2.1, depending on the model. For networking, you get dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0.

Front ports include one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×1 port and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. The back has two USB-A 3.2 ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, video outputs, and a DC-in jack. Inside, there are headers for RS-232 and PCIe x1 expansion, which makes this useful for industrial setups.

The system uses dual-fan cooling and a tool-less chassis for easier upgrades. It measures 144 x 117 x 42 mm, has a volume of 0.7 liters, and weighs between 750g and 910g. The NUC 16 Pro passed MIL-STD-810H testing for heat, cold, vibration, shock, and humidity.

This dual-screen setup works in concert with ScreenXpert software enhancements that automatically activate cross-screen sharing and annotation tools when the laptop is laid flat, making it intuitive to drag apps across the two screens. ASUS has moved quickly with the release of its first gaming monitor built around G-Sync Pulsar technology, which was unveiled at CES 2026 last week. The ROG Strix XG27AQNGV debuted at CES 2026 and was expected later in January. Instead, pre-orders are already live in major regions including the US, UK, and Europe.

The ROG Strix XG27AQNGV is a 27-inch gaming monitor. It has a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 360Hz refresh rate. The panel is Ultrafast IPS with a 1ms GtG response time. It targets esports players and fast-paced games.

The key feature is NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar. G-Sync Pulsar pairs variable refresh rate with variable-frequency backlight strobing to improve motion clarity. In simpler words, it combines smooth, tear-free gaming (Variable Refresh Rate) with crystal-clear motion (Backlight Strobing). Previously, you had to choose between the two, but Pulsar allows your monitor’s backlight to pulse in perfect synchronization with your game’s changing frame rate. By flashing the light only when the pixels have finished changing, it virtually eliminates motion blur and “ghosting,” effectively making a standard 360Hz monitor look as sharp and clear as a theoretical 1,000Hz display during fast movement.

Brightness is 400 nits in SDR and 500 nits peak in HDR. The monitor supports HDR10 and G-Sync HDR. Color coverage reaches 90 percent DCI-P3 with 10-bit color and factory calibration targeting Delta E below 2. Contrast ratio is 1000:1 and viewing angles are 178 degrees.

The monitor includes Esports Dual Mode. This allows the display to run at 25 inches in 1920 x 1080 or a pixel-perfect 2368 x 1332 resolution with minimal latency impact. ASUS also supports ELMB Sync, enabling low motion blur with variable refresh rate without tearing.

Connectivity includes one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, two HDMI 2.1 ports using FRL, a headphone jack, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Power consumption is under 38W in use. The stand is 30 percent smaller than previous XG models and supports tilt, swivel, pivot, and 0 to 110mm height adjustment. VESA mounting is supported. The monitor also features Aura Sync lighting and TÜV-certified Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light technologies.

Clicks Communicator

Inspired by BlackBerry, the Clicks Communicator isn’t just a quirky retro phone, it’s a deliberate rethinking of mobile use. Built as a standalone messaging-first smartphone, it encourages productivity without the pull of doomscrolling. The design is compact, the use case is focused, and the intention is clear.

It comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard that supports touch input and integrates a fingerprint scanner into the spacebar. The 4.03-inch AMOLED display keeps the experience clean and focused.

Running Android 16, the phone supports 5G, eSIM, and a physical SIM, while also offering a 50MP rear camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features a side-mounted Signal LED that lets users assign custom colors to notifications from specific contacts.

Roborock Saros Rover

LG’s return to the “Wallpaper TV” category is a stunner. The OLED evo W6 is just 9mm thick and mounts flush to the wall with zero gap, hiding wires through a Zero Connect Box that wirelessly transmits 4K video and audio from up to 10 meters away.

It’s also 3.9x brighter than standard OLEDs thanks to Hyper Radiant Color tech, making it perfect for bright rooms. LG even tackled reflection issues with a new coating that earned the first-ever “Reflection Free Premium” certification.

Lockin V7 Max

The Lockin V7 Max introduces AuraCharge, a wireless optical charging system that beams energy to the lock from a dedicated transmitter placed up to 13 feet away. This removes the need for replaceable or rechargeable batteries, solving one of the biggest pain points in smart locks.

The V7 Max supports finger vein, palm vein, and 3D facial recognition. It has dual 5-inch displays, two HD cameras, and Matter compatibility for integration with all major smart home platforms.

Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable

Lenovo’s Legion Pro Rollable may be the boldest concept at CES. It starts as a 16-inch OLED laptop and transforms into 21.5 inches or 24 inches with the push of a button. The screen expands sideways using a dual-motor tension system, giving users the ability to shift aspect ratios from 16:10 to 24:9 depending on their gameplay needs.

The Alienware 18 Area-51 has an 18-inch WQXGA LCD display with a 300Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage, 500 nits of brightness, and NVIDIA G-SYNC with Advanced Optimus. It includes a full-size SD card slot, Thunderbolt 5 support depending on GPU, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, and a 96Whr battery with a 360W GaN adapter. The maximum weight is 4.34kg.

The Alienware 16X Aurora is built for people who want high-end gaming in a more portable laptop. It weighs 2.66kg and is 19.2mm thick at the front. It uses the same 16-inch WQXGA anti-glare OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.2ms response time. CPU options range from the Intel Core Ultra 5 235HX to the Core Ultra 9 275HX. Speed Share suggests contacts for fast sharing. Sketch to Image converts rough drawings into polished visuals. Circle to Search with Google allows users to search for objects or text by circling them on the screen. A quick access toolbar offers tools like brush selection, magnification, and workflow customization.

Leadership Vision and AI Strategy

Jun Zhao, Senior Vice President of TCL Technology and CEO of TCL CSOT, emphasized the company’s goal of building smarter, healthier, and greener display solutions. He also highlighted TCL’s strategy of “AI for Display and Display for AI,” where displays play a central role in AI-powered devices. TCL CSOT also introduced X Intelligence 3.0, an industry-specific, large AI model for displays that improves product analysis and materials development efficiency.

Amazing Display Experience

TCL CSOT introduced the 98-inch HVA Ultra Infinity View TV Display, featuring independent RGB backlight control, over 18,000 dimming zones, and more than 96% BT.2020 color coverage. The panel offers deeper contrast, low reflection, anti-glare performance, and an ultra-slim bezel for a cinematic viewing experience.

Another major highlight was the world’s first Sliding and Multi-Curved IJP OLED Automotive Display. The 28-inch screen expands from 16 inches, uses a real RGB pixel layout, supports 100,000+ sliding cycles, and features a futuristic curved design for premium smart cockpits.

Protective Eye Health

TCL CSOT also focused heavily on eye comfort. The company introduced the world’s first Natural-Light-Certified OLED Mobile Display (6.89″), which uses second-generation circular polarizer technology for better sunlight visibility and reduced glare.

The Natural-Light Switchable Monitor (27″) features a full-spectrum backlight and circular polarization to create a light experience closer to natural daylight, helping reduce visual fatigue during long work sessions.

Eco-Friendly Innovation 

In sustainability, TCL CSOT unveiled the world’s first PFAS-Free Notebook Display (14″), eliminating harmful “forever chemicals” and replacing them with safer alternatives across panel materials and components.

The Partitioned Frequency Division OLED Tablet Display (13.2″) features LTPO technology and per-zone adaptive refresh ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz, delivering 15% to 25% power savings while maintaining smooth performance.

XR and Micro-Display Breakthroughs

For next-generation XR devices, TCL CSOT introduced the world’s highest-PPI Real RGB G-OLED Display (2.56″) with 1512 PPI, ultra-fast response time, high contrast, and wide color support.

The company also showcased a single-chip full-color Si-Micro LED display (0.28″) with 1280×720 resolution and 5131 PPI, offering bright and power-efficient visuals for lightweight AR glasses and slim VR devices.

Additionally, TCL CSOT revealed the Real Stripe RGB IJP OLED Mobile Display (5.65″), demonstrating high-precision inkjet-printed OLED manufacturing with improved text clarity and pixel density.

Hisense showed off an expanded RGB MiniLED TV lineup at CES 2026, less than a year after launching the first consumer model with this technology. The company is now spreading RGB MiniLED across multiple series and screen sizes.

The new flagship 116UXS uses RGB MiniLED evo, a four-color backlight that adds cyan alongside red, green, and blue. The cyan layer gives better control over wavelengths where human eyes are most sensitive. This creates smoother gradients, more accurate mid-tones, and natural color shifts. The system improves depth and detail without oversaturating the image, even in non-HDR content.

The 116UXS runs on the Hi-View AI Engine RGB, which controls tens of thousands of color dimming zones in real time. This keeps colors accurate during fast motion, bright highlights, and dark scenes. Hisense says the TV hits up to 110 percent BT.2020 color coverage. The design has almost no bezels and measures 1.57 inches thick. It includes a 6.2.2 speaker system tuned by Devialet Opéra de Paris.

Hisense is also adding RGB MiniLED to the UR9 and UR8 Series. These models use the second-generation RGB structure from 2025 and come in sizes from 55 inches to 100 inches. This puts RGB MiniLED in reach for more buyers beyond the flagship tier.

The UR9 and UR8 focus on steady color performance in regular rooms. They offer wider color range, cleaner tonal separation, and stable color during sports, movies, and gaming. Hisense says these TVs hold color accuracy in bright rooms and during fast scenes. Both series feature updated designs and Devialet-tuned audio.

Hisense is moving faster than competitors to scale RGB MiniLED. The CES 2026 lineup shows the company’s plan: build advanced color tech in flagship models, then quickly bring it to more screen sizes and price points for wider availability.

TCL has officially introduced the RayNeo Air 4 Pro AR glasses to global markets at CES 2026. The wearable device was previously launched in China and is now positioned as the world’s first HDR10-enabled AR glasses. Just like the Air 3s series, the Air 4 Pro creates a personal cinema-like experience using a 201-inch virtual screen at a 6-meter viewing distance. The glasses use a custom Vision 4000 processor that supports real-time video enhancements, including SDR-to-HDR upscaling and 2D-to-3D conversion. The display aims to deliver brighter highlights, deeper contrast, and over a billion colors with HDR10 support.

The device weighs just 76g and features adjustable nose pads for added comfort. RayNeo designed the Air 4 Pro for all-day wear and travel. The audio system includes four speakers and directional sound tubes that reduce leakage. The tuning was done in collaboration with B&O Sound Lab to ensure clarity and spatial separation.

The Air 4 Pro connects to smartphones, laptops, tablets, and gaming consoles like the Switch 2 via USB-C. It supports any device with video output, allowing users to watch movies, play games, or browse apps on a large, private display.

TCL has priced the RayNeo Air 4 Pro at $299. The global launch is set for January 25.

RayNeo also showcased its flagship AR headset, the X3 Pro. This model features AI-powered functions, a 43-inch floating display, and real-time translation across multiple languages. It runs on Android and supports apps such as YouTube and TikTok. The company also presented a prototype version with eSIM support to explore standalone spatial computing.

HP has officially unveiled the EliteBoard G1a, a slim membrane keyboard that doubles as a full Windows 11 PC powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300-series processor. It’s a bold attempt to redefine the modern workspace, merging portability, simplicity, and next-gen AI performance into a single device weighing just 750 grams.

HP EliteBoard G1a Specifications

Beneath its unassuming frame, the EliteBoard G1a packs up to 50 TOPS of on-device AI compute thanks to an integrated NPU, enabling full Copilot+ PC capabilities.

It comes preloaded with Windows 11 Pro for Business and supports Radeon 800M graphics, with optional features like a 32W built-in battery and an integrated fingerprint sensor. The entire system lives inside a 12mm-thick shell, making it one of the slimmest and most portable x86 Windows PCs ever made.

This isn’t HP’s first attempt at reimagining productivity tools, but it might be its most daring. The EliteBoard is designed for hot-desking offices, hybrid teams, and professionals who need fast deployment without sacrificing Windows compatibility. Just plug it into a USB-C display, connect the included wireless mouse, and you’re up and running.

HP has also built in dual mics and speakers, a Copilot key for instant access to Microsoft’s AI assistant, and enterprise-grade security with Wolf Security for Business. It is also spill-resistant, which helps protect the built-in PC during everyday use and travel.

HP EliteBoard G1a is now being showcased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, with shipments expected to begin in March. Pricing details have not been announced yet. Alongside it, HP has also unveiled the Series 7 Pro monitor, which could serve as an ideal companion for the new system.

Samsung’s long-running experiment with home robotics appears to have hit another pause. According to a Bloomberg report, the company’s Ballie robot has once again slipped out of public view, raising fresh questions about its future.

Ballie’s uncertain status within Samsung

Ballie, the rolling home robot first introduced back in 2020, was noticeably absent from CES 2026, despite earlier indications that it was nearing commercial release. Samsung had previously suggested the device was close to being market-ready, but its disappearance from the world’s biggest consumer electronics show suggests otherwise.

In a statement shared with Bloomberg, Samsung described Ballie not as an upcoming consumer product, but as an internal innovation platform. The company said the project has played a role in shaping how it approaches spatial awareness, contextual intelligence, ambient AI and privacy-focused design across its wider product ecosystem. This positioning signals a shift away from Ballie as a standalone device meant for consumers.

How Ballie influenced other products

While Samsung has stopped short of calling Ballie cancelled, the language used strongly implies that the robot has been shelved for now. Insights gained from years of testing have reportedly been carried over to existing categories such as robot vacuum cleaners and smart home solutions, rather than leading to a dedicated home robot launch.

Ballie’s journey has been anything but straightforward. After its debut at CES 2020, the spherical yellow robot made sporadic reappearances, often with updated capabilities. At CES 2024, Samsung showcased features like wall projection, home monitoring and smart device control. The robot returned again at CES 2025 with controlled demos highlighting voice interaction, camera-based detection and video projection.

In mid-2025, Samsung even partnered with Google to integrate the Gemini AI platform into Ballie, hinting at a late summer launch. That timeline was eventually missed. Smart glasses usually mean cameras, displays, or voice assistants. But a new startup called Povec Optics is trying something different. At CES 2026, the startup made its first public appearance with a pair of sunglasses that focus entirely on one problem: changing light.

The company’s debut product, called the Povec C1, uses electrochromic lenses that can shift tint in about one second. Instead of relying on automatic sensors alone, these glasses let the wearer decide how dark the lenses should be at any given moment. That makes them less about “smart features” and more about control.

Povec positions the C1 as sunglasses for people who move through unpredictable lighting. It could be early-morning runs, mountain bike trails with tree cover, or time spent on open water where glare can change quickly. 

In such varying situations, fixed-tint lenses can feel limiting, and even photochromic lenses don’t always react fast enough. Povec’s approach puts adjustment directly in the user’s hands.

Povec C1 lets you adjust glasses’ tint in real-time

The core of the Povec C1 is electrochromic technology, which changes lens color when a low-voltage current passes through layered conductive materials. However, this isn’t brand-new tech. 

We have seen a similar system in use in high-end cars for things like rearview mirrors and panoramic sunroofs. What Povec claims to have done differently is shrinking that automotive-grade system down enough to fit into a slim pair of glasses.

You can control the tint through a touch-sensitive strip along the temples. A simple slide adjusts the tint from light shade to very dark. 

According to co-founder Alexis Marc Pons, the idea is to give users precise control rather than guessing what the lighting conditions require. The lens shade follows the movement of your finger, changing instantly as you adjust it.

Beyond tint control, the lenses include UV400 protection and anti-glare treatment. Povec also says the lenses are impact-resistant and have passed steel ball drop tests.

The glasses are rated to run up to 28 days on a single charge if used around four hours a day. It charges via USB-C, and the glasses automatically wake when unfolded and go to sleep when stored. 

The frame itself is made from lightweight TR90 material and carries an IP65 rating, meaning it should handle sweat, rain, and splashes without issue. Povec also includes three interchangeable nose pads so users can fine-tune the fit for long sessions.

Povec Optics is planning to release the Povec C1 in May 2026, and the price could range somewhere between $250 and $350.

Roborock has introduced the Saros Rover at CES 2026, unveiling what it calls the world’s first wheeled-leg robot vacuum. The concept device features two articulated limbs with integrated wheels, allowing it to climb stairs and clean each step independently, something traditional robot vacuums have never achieved.

The Saros Rover uses a dual-leg system where each leg moves separately. It lifts and lowers its chassis to scale staircases, adjust to uneven floors, and cross multi-level thresholds. Roborock demonstrated the device on the CES show floor, where it climbed five steps in under 40 seconds while cleaning each one. The robot balanced itself using one leg for support as it rolled across each tread.

The Rover’s core hardware includes the AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0, which enables it to adjust height on the fly and clear obstacles up to 3.3 inches tall. It can handle steep ramps, curved stairs, and high-pile carpets. Roborock paired this mechanical system with AI-powered navigation, using 3D spatial sensors and real-time object recognition to avoid collisions and adapt to fast-changing environments.

Roborock confirmed that the Saros Rover remains in development and does not have a release date. The company said it is still deciding whether to integrate a mopping system. The current version focuses on vacuuming, with future updates expected to expand its cleaning capabilities.

The Saros Rover follows the company’s earlier efforts, like the Saros Z70, which featured a robotic arm. Roborock appears to be moving cautiously with this new model after receiving mixed feedback on previous experimental designs, as per The Verge.

The company has not announced a price, but it is expected to cost more than the Z70, which launched at $2,599. The Saros Rover marks a major step in robotic home cleaning, especially for users in multi-floor homes who have waited years for a robot vacuum that can finally tackle stairs.

Gmktec has announced the Evo-T2 mini PC at CES 2026. The system features Intel’s latest Core Ultra X9 388H processor and supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X memory. It is the world’s first consumer mini PC to run on Intel’s new Panther Lake platform, built on the advanced 18A process node with RibbonFET and PowerVia technologies.

Gmktec EVO-T2 Specifications

The EVO-T2 delivers up to 180 TOPS of local AI performance. It supports multimodal generative AI workloads and can run large models locally. Gmktec claims a 10% improvement in single-threaded performance over the previous generation. Power consumption is reduced by 40% at equivalent performance levels, and graphics performance sees a 50% gain over the prior Lunar Lake platform.

The integrated Arc B390 GPU includes 12 Xe cores and delivers performance comparable to an Nvidia RTX 4050 laptop GPU. Intel states the B390 achieves 76% higher performance than the Arc 140T and 82% higher performance than the Radeon 890M found in AMD’s Ryzen HX 370.

Evo-T2 supports dual M.2 SSDs, with one PCIe 5.0 and one PCIe 4.0 slot, allowing up to 16TB of storage. It includes 10GbE and 2.5GbE Ethernet ports, a USB4 port with 40Gbps bandwidth and 100W power delivery, and an OCuLink interface for external GPU connectivity. The system supports quad 4K output.

The device runs in a default 45W balanced mode but supports up to 80W TDP for demanding workloads. Its compact, box-style design features a refined finish with improved airflow for thermal stability under heavy usage.

Pricing and Availability

The Gmktec Evo-T2 is scheduled to launch in Q1 2026. Final pricing and configuration details will be announced closer to release.

Lenovo is using CES 2026 to show off its latest PC lineup. Among the announcements is the new ThinkCentre X AIO, a professional-focused all-in-one that stands out almost entirely because of its display.

The ThinkCenter X has a near-square screen that looks very different from the typical 16:9 or 16:10 panels we’re used to seeing.

Lenovo ThinkCenter X AIO has a tall, near-square screen

The ThinkCentre X AIO features a 27.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 2,880 pixels. That works out to a rare 16:18 aspect ratio, which gives the screen a noticeably boxy appearance. 

According to Lenovo, this design choice is intentional. The company says the display can show two A4 pages side by side, making it better suited for document work, coding, and content creation than for entertainment or gaming. 

Not to anyone’s surprise, the panel runs at a standard 60Hz refresh rate with a 14ms response time. Its brightness tops out at 300 nits, contrast is rated at 1000:1, and Lenovo claims 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. That should make it adequate for design and creative tasks, even if it’s not exactly the top-of-the-line specs. 

Powered by laptop CPUs

Inside, Lenovo is using Intel’s third-generation Core Ultra processors, going up to a Core Ultra X7 chip. Unfortunately, these are not desktop-class CPUs, but they should still be powerful enough for most professional workloads. 

The system can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5x memory running at 9,600 MT/s, along with dual M.2 2280 SSD slots for storage. Graphics are handled by Intel’s Arc B390 integrated GPU with 12 Xe3 cores, which Lenovo and Intel claim is a significant step up from previous integrated solutions. There’s no option for discrete graphics here.

The ThinkCentre X AIO can also be configured with an optional 16-megapixel AI camera, alongside four microphones and four speakers. Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a physical camera shutter for privacy. 

The I/O option includes Thunderbolt and HDMI 2.1 ports on the back, and USB-C and USB-A ports on the side. The company hasn’t shared detailed standards for every port yet, and there’s no mention of wired Ethernet, which is a little surprising for a ThinkCentre-branded machine.

The ThinkCentre X AIO weighs around 7.37kg and is expected to officially launch in March. Lenovo hasn’t announced pricing and availability details yet.

For gamers who want a larger viewing area without sacrificing performance, the ROG Zephyrus G16 (2026) steps up with a 16-inch 2.5K Nebula HDR OLED panel that runs at 240Hz and matches the G14’s 0.2 ms response and 1100-nit peak brightness. This display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC for smoother visuals with compatible GPUs. Under the hood, the G16 also uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors paired with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.

So one can enjoy graphically intense titles at high framerates and experience smooth creative workflows. The GPU’s power limit has been bumped up for greater sustained performance in manual mode. Like the Zephyrus G14, the G16 benefits from 50 TOPS of NPU compute power for AI-boosted features such as real-time upscaling and generative tools. ASUS has also refined its cooling architecture with enhanced ventilation, redesigned bottom panels, and liquid metal on the CPU to manage the added heat from the higher wattage graphics. The 35-zone Slash Lighting and CNC aluminum returns on this model as well.

On the usability front, the G16’s larger footprint enables a built-in full-size SD card slot, more comprehensive port coverage, and a chassis that stays relatively light (1.85 kilograms). It also matches the smaller sibling in terms of connectivity with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Thunderbolt 4, and a selection of USB-A ports.

At CES 2026 this week, Infinix unveiled the Note 60 series as the first smartphones to support global satellite calling. While satellite calling is no longer a new feature on smartphones, the news is about the unique approach from Infinix that turns it beyond an “emergency-only” feature.

According to Infinix, global satellite calling on the Note 60 series is built as an always-on emergency connection rather than a novelty add-on. A report from Android Headlines says the feature covers nearly two-thirds of the Earth’s surface and works without any extra registration from the user. This essentially means you can use this feature almost anywhere in the world. 

The transmission speeds are limited to just 4Kbps, but Infinix claims the system is optimized for HD voice calls and two-way SMS. Infinix says the phone can automatically switch between satellite and roaming networks, which should allow it to maintain connectivity even in areas with no traditional mobile signal.

Gaming and accessories

Alongside satellite calling, Infinix introduced what it calls the HydroFlow liquid cooling system. The Note 60 is the first phone to use the company’s new cooling architecture, which pushes coolant at a rate of 6.5ml per minute using dual piezoelectric ceramic pumps. 

The setup is paired with a new vibrating piezoelectric fan that doesn’t rely on traditional rotating blades. Instead, the fan uses ultra-thin vibrating blades that are just 0.1mm thick and pulse 25,000 times per second. Infinix claims this solid-state design controls heat far more efficiently than conventional fans, especially during extended gaming sessions or demanding AI workloads.

The company is also tapping into the gaming accessories market with what it says is the industry’s first split controller. It has a pressure-sensitive touchpad designed for ultra-low latency. There’s also a wireless magnetic trigger featuring mouse-grade microswitches.

Design and modules

As for the design, the Note 60 series back panel uses smart materials like photochromic leather and thermochromic ink, which can change color, display 3D effects, or show flowing animations based on light and temperature. It’s more visual flair than a functional upgrade, but it is cool nonetheless. 

The company also introduced its AI Module Universe, a modular ecosystem of magnetic accessories. These include a conferencing module for instant translation, a VlogCam module with AI-based subject tracking, and add-ons like a professional microphone module and an expandable battery pack called StackPower. The idea is to let users adapt the phone for specific tasks rather than relying on one fixed setup.

Infinix hasn’t shared pricing or an official release date yet for the Note 60 series, including the Note 60 Ultra.

Lenovo is no stranger to strange laptop ideas. Rollable screens, dual displays, experimental hinges—you name it. At CES 2026, the company confirmed that one of its more eye-catching concepts is no longer just a demo. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist is real, and it’s launching later this year.

At a glance, it looks like a fairly normal 14-inch clamshell. The trick is in the hinge. Lenovo has built in a motorized mechanism that lets the OLED touchscreen rotate and tilt on its own. The display can adjust based on where you’re sitting, switch orientations automatically, or move into tablet-style positioning without you having to touch it.

The panel itself is a 2.8K OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. Lenovo says the system can respond to voice commands or usage scenarios, though how often that’s genuinely useful will likely depend on software polish.

Specs are firmly premium. Inside are Intel’s new Panther Lake Core Ultra 300 processors, paired with up to 32GB of DDR5-9600 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. There’s also a relatively large 75Wh battery, which is notable given the added moving parts. Weight comes in at around 1.4kg, keeping it reasonably portable.

Port selection is better than Lenovo’s previous experimental models. You get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack. Wireless includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. There’s also a 10MP IR webcam for Windows Hello, along with quad speakers and microphones.

Compared to last year’s rollable ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, the Auto Twist feels more practical—still flashy, but easier to live with.

The ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist is set to launch in the US in June 2026, starting at $1,649. Whether the self-adjusting screen is a genuine productivity boost or just a clever party trick remains to be seen, but Lenovo is clearly serious about shipping its boldest ideas this time around.

At the ongoing CES 2026 event, HP has refresh its gaming laptop lineup with updates that target two very different audiences. At the top end is the new HyperX OMEN MAX 16, designed for users who want maximum performance headroom, while the Victus 15 continues to serve as a more accessible option with a wide range of configurations. HP also detailed the updated OMEN 16, which provides a balance between power and portability.

HyperX OMEN MAX 16 targets extreme performance

The HyperX OMEN MAX 16 is HP’s most powerful gaming laptop so far. It supports up to 300W of total platform power, a 50W and roughly 20 percent increase over the previous generation. The system can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors or AMD Ryzen AI HX chips, paired with NVIDIA’s next-generation GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. This places the MAX 16 firmly in the high-end category for sustained gaming and creator workloads.

Thermal management has been redesigned with OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro, which now adds a third fan and Fan Cleaner technology that periodically reverses airflow to reduce dust buildup. Display options include a 16-inch WQXGA OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, HDR support up to 500 nits, and full DCI-P3 coverage, alongside IPS alternatives for different performance needs. HP also includes a high-polling-rate keyboard with customizable lighting and OMEN AI, which automatically tunes system and game settings to improve frame rates without manual intervention.

OMEN 16 balances power and portability

Sitting below the MAX model, the updated OMEN 16 focuses on high performance in a more conventional power envelope. It supports a wide range of processors, including AMD Ryzen AI 9, AI 7, and AI 5 chips with up to 50 NPU TOPS, as well as Intel Core Ultra H-series processors and 14th-gen HX options such as the Core i9-14900HX. Graphics configurations scale up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, with support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync depending on platform.

The OMEN 16 offers multiple 16-inch display options, topping out at a WQXGA IPS panel with a 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and full sRGB coverage. Memory configurations reach up to 32GB of DDR5, while storage includes PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSDs up to 1TB. HP equips the system with HyperX-tuned audio, a 1080p FHD webcam, HDMI 2.1, USB-C with DisplayPort support, and battery options up to 83Wh with fast charging that can reach 50 percent in about 30 minutes.

Victus 15 remains the entry point

The Victus 15 continues as HP’s mainstream gaming option. It supports AMD Ryzen 8000 series and Intel 13th-gen Core processors, paired with GPUs ranging from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 up to RTX 4060, as well as AMD Radeon RX 6550M. The laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD 144Hz IPS display, dual-channel memory support, PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, and DTS:X Ultra audio. Battery capacities range from 52.5Wh to 70Wh depending on configuration, keeping the Victus positioned for affordable gaming without premium extras.

Availability

HP has also confirmed availability timelines and starting prices for its updated gaming lineup. The OMEN MAX 16 Gaming Laptop is expected to launch in the coming months on HP.com, with a starting price of $1,699.99. The OMEN 16 Gaming Laptop will follow in March, starting at $1,599.99, positioning it just below the MAX model in HP’s gaming portfolio.

The refreshed Victus 15 Gaming Laptop will begin rolling out earlier, with initial availability expected in January at a starting price of $1,199.99. HP has also confirmed that an enhanced version of the Victus 15 will launch in May, though pricing for the upgraded configuration has not yet been detailed.

Samsung has announced its 2026 OLED TV lineup at CES 2026, introducing four models: S85H, S90H, S95H, and the all-new S99H. The new range includes updates across all tiers and adds the S99H as the top-end flagship, replacing last year’s S95F.

The S99H features a metal-framed design, which contrasts with the ultra-thin and bezel-less trend in today’s market. It is available in 55-inch, 65-inch, 77-inch, and 83-inch sizes, all with 4K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate support. Samsung uses QD-OLED panels for the smaller sizes, while the 83-inch variant uses LG Display’s Tandem W-OLED panel. The company claims the S99H achieves up to 35% higher brightness compared to the S95F. It also includes the Glare Free 3.0 anti-reflection coating and supports a wireless One Connect box.

The S95H, which also succeeds the S95F, retains the same brightness improvement and features a flush-to-wall design. It supports the wireless One Connect box and is available in 48-inch to 83-inch sizes. Samsung continues its dual-supplier approach, using LG W-OLED panels for the 48-inch and 83-inch models and QD-OLED for the rest.

The S90H targets the mid-range segment and gains a 15% brightness increase. It also upgrades to a 165Hz refresh rate and includes the Glare Free 3.0 coating. Samsung offers it in sizes from 42 inches to 83 inches, mixing QD-OLED and W-OLED panels depending on size.

The S85H serves as the entry-level OLED model, using LG W-OLED panels across all sizes and supporting 100Hz or 120Hz refresh rates.

All models include support for Samsung’s new Eclipsa Audio format, HDR10+ Advanced, Dolby Atmos, Tizen OS 10.0, and up to seven years of OTA updates. Gaming features include AI Auto Game Mode, FreeSync Premium, G-Sync compatibility, and VRR. Smart features cover Alexa, AirPlay 2, Matter Hub, SmartThings, and Microsoft Copilot.

MSI has announced the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG mini PC at CES 2026. The new system joins the company’s growing lineup of compact desktops and is designed for AI workloads, everyday productivity, and modern connectivity needs. The Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG measures just 0.51 liters in volume, making it one of MSI’s smallest AI-ready PCs to date.

MSI Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG Mini PC Specs

The system supports Intel’s latest Panther Lake processors, also known as the Core Ultra 300 series. The top configuration features the Intel Core Ultra 9 386H with 16 cores and an integrated Xe3 GPU. MSI also offers the mini PC in Core Ultra 5 322 and Core Ultra 7 355 variants to meet different performance and budget requirements.

The Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG qualifies as a Copilot+ PC and has received the Windows 11 AI+ PC certification. It integrates Intel’s fifth-generation NPU (NPU5), which delivers up to 50 TOPS of AI computing performance. The system is capable of handling AI-enhanced workflows, fast inference tasks, and future Copilot+ features such as Recall and real-time effects.

MSI equips the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG with two SO-DIMM slots that support up to 32GB of memory. It also includes a single NVMe slot for high-speed SSD storage. For display connectivity, the system supports up to four monitors through dual Thunderbolt 4 ports and additional outputs.

On the networking front, the Cubi NUC AI+ 3MG includes dual 2.5G LAN ports and WiFi 7 support. The power button integrates a fingerprint sensor for secure, quick access. The tool-free chassis design simplifies upgrades and maintenance. MSI also includes a cable organizer to help with tight workspace setups.

The system uses post-consumer recycled materials as part of MSI’s effort to promote sustainable design.

Dell XPS 14

Dell’s XPS 14 is a compact powerhouse with a body crafted from CNC-milled aluminium with Gorilla Glass 3 covering the top surface, combining strength and premium aesthetics in a portable form factor. The company is calling the overall design “new” while also referring to these notebooks as “getting back to our roots”. It measures around 1.36 kilograms and offers two display options. The first is a 14-inch 2.8K OLED InfinityEdge panel with 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage and Dolby Vision HDR, while the alternative is a 2K LCD panel with a wide colour gamut and a 120Hz variable refresh that goes down to 1Hz to conserve power.

Under the hood, it is equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra X7 385H, Core Ultra 7 355, or Ultra 5 325, which delivers improved performance and power efficiency. You also get up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD. Connectivity options include three Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, Bluetooth 6, and Wi-Fi 7. A large 70Wh battery pack powers this notebook, which promises up to 40 hours of local video playback.

For audio, there is a quad speaker setup that consists of a 3W main unit and 2W tweeter units. So it has a total output of 10W with Dolby Atmos tuning. Other notable features include up to 50 TOPS of AI performance from the new NPU, Intel Arc integrated graphics, and an 8MP webcam with Windows Hello. The Pro models also offer AMOLED displays with touchscreen support for creative workloads and media consumption.

RAM options include 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, paired with PCIe SSD storage up to 1TB. The larger 16-inch Galaxy Book 6 Pro also offers an additional expansion slot for storage. Graphics are handled by Intel’s Arc integrated graphics, fine for everyday use and light creative work. The Pro also benefits from redesigned cooling with a vapor chamber for quieter, more consistent performance. Battery capacities vary by screen size, with up to 78Wh in the 16-inch model and solid endurance for all-day productivity sessions.

Samsung Galaxy Book 6

Like the Pro models, the standard Galaxy Book 6 is available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes and brings Intel’s latest silicon in a more affordable option. It pairs the Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 Series 3 processors with Arc graphics and up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. Users can opt for a touchscreen option on the larger 16-inch model, but the base variants skip the AMOLED screen for an LCD panel (IPS on the 16-inch version).

Despite its positioning, the Book 6 still benefits from Samsung’s refined design approach, including improved thermal management, Dolby Atmos-enhanced speakers, and a robust port selection. This model is clearly aimed at everyday productivity, and these specs make it a reliable everyday laptop that carries many of the premium traits found in its Pro and Ultra siblings.

Pricing and Availability

Samsung has yet to reveal the global pricing or the exact launch timeline for all the markets. However, the Galaxy Book 6 series is expected to start rolling out in select regions by the end of this month, with a wider release following soon after. All three models will arrive in Gray and Silver colorways, while a Galaxy Book 6 Enterprise Edition will also roll out in certain markets.

Eureka is expanding its smart cleaning lineup at CES 2026 with three new products: two robot vacuums and a steam-cleaning stick vacuum. The focus this year seems to be automation and stronger performance, without pushing prices too far upmarket.

The most feature-packed of the bunch is the Eureka Z50, a robot vacuum and mop combo priced under $800. It’s designed to handle both carpets and hard floors, switching automatically between vacuuming and mopping. Eureka says the Z50 delivers up to 20,000 Pa of suction and uses a rolling mop system that applies fresh water while scraping off dirt as it cleans. A cover mechanism lifts or shields the mop to avoid soaking carpets.

Hair management is another area Eureka is highlighting. The Z50 uses an anti-tangle brush design aimed at pet hair, while its dock handles automatic dust emptying and mop washing using heated water. Navigation is handled through a mix of laser, radar, and AI-based obstacle detection. Power comes from a 5,200 mAh battery.

At the more affordable end, Eureka introduced the E10 Evo Plus, priced at $299. It skips mopping but still offers up to 10,000 Pa of suction, laser navigation, anti-tangle brushes, and a self-emptying base. It’s aimed at users who want hands-off vacuuming without paying premium prices.

The third product is the FloorShine 890, a stick vacuum built specifically for hard floors. It combines traditional suction with steam cleaning, using high-temperature steam and heated water to remove grime, then dries floors with warm air. Eureka hasn’t shared pricing yet, but it’s positioned as a higher-end manual cleaner.

All three devices will launch at different points throughout 2026. The company appears to be betting that features once limited to expensive models can now reach a wider audience.

Samsung may have offered an early look at where its foldables are headed. At CES 2026, Samsung Display showed off a new foldable OLED panel that appears to significantly reduce, and possibly all but eliminate, the crease that has long defined the category.

The panel was displayed at Samsung Display’s booth alongside what looked like a current Galaxy Z Fold 7, giving visitors a direct comparison. When fully opened, the prototype panel appeared largely flat, with only a faint bend visible under certain lighting. In normal viewing, the crease was hard to spot.

The demo was surfaced in a short video shared by leaker Max Jambor on X. Compared to the Z Fold 7, which already improved on earlier designs, the new panel looks like a more meaningful step forward rather than a minor refinement.

Samsung hasn’t said which device this panel is intended for, but the timing points toward the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is widely expected around mid-2026. According to reports, the panel uses a laser-drilled metal plate beneath the OLED layer to spread stress more evenly when the screen folds, reducing long-term creasing. Some versions of the prototype also appear to use under-display camera technology.

There’s also speculation that this panel may be part of Samsung Display’s work for Apple, which is rumored to be developing its own foldable device for a later 2026 launch. That hasn’t been confirmed, but it could explain the focus on minimizing visible imperfections.

For Samsung, a truly crease-light — or nearly crease-less — foldable could address one of the biggest remaining complaints about the form factor. If the technology makes it into a commercial product, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could feel much closer to a conventional tablet when unfolded, rather than a device that constantly reminds you it bends.

AMD is widening its Strix Halo lineup. At CES 2026, the company announced two new Ryzen AI Max+ APUs, aimed at users who want strong AI and graphics performance without stepping up to a discrete GPU.

Strix Halo debuted last year as AMD’s answer to high-end thin-and-light laptops and compact desktops that still need serious compute. The platform combines a high-core-count CPU, a Radeon GPU based on RDNA 3.5, and an XDNA 2 NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS, all sharing a large unified memory pool.

Until now, the lineup topped out with the 16-core Ryzen AI Max+ 395, alongside the 12-core Max 390 and 8-core Max 385. Those chips have already found their way into devices like HP’s ZBook Ultra G1a, Asus’ ROG Flow Z13, and a growing list of mini PCs.

The new additions are the Ryzen AI Max+ 392 and Ryzen AI Max+ 388. Both are based on existing SKUs but receive a notable GPU upgrade. AMD is equipping them with a 40-CU RDNA 3.5 iGPU, which the company says can deliver up to 60 TFLOPs of compute.

On the CPU side, little changes. The Max+ 392 keeps its 12-core, 24-thread layout with boost clocks up to 5GHz, while the Max+ 388 remains an 8-core, 16-thread part. The NPU stays the same as well, with AMD continuing to target AI inference and local model workloads.

AMD also used CES to underline its performance claims. In its own testing, a Strix Halo system reportedly outperformed Nvidia’s DGX Spark in token-per-second-per-dollar AI benchmarks, and showed advantages over Apple’s latest M5-based MacBook Pro in selected AI, multitasking, and gaming scenarios. As usual, independent testing will be needed to validate those numbers.

With support from OEMs like Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Framework, and several mini-PC makers, AMD appears intent on pushing Strix Halo beyond niche use cases and into more mainstream professional and enthusiast systems.
