CMF by Nothing has introduced the CMF Headphone Pro in India, which is its first over-the-ear headphone. The new model stands out with a modular build, swappable ear cushions, and an impressive battery life. There are also a bunch of great features that are being offered for an affordable price tag, so here are all the details.

CMF Headphone Pro Specifications

The CMF Headphone Pro takes a modular approach to over-ear headphones, letting users swap ear cushions to change both the look and feel of the headset. Three color options are available at launch, including Light Gray, Dark Gray, and Light Green. These retain the tactile physical controls that were first seen in the Nothing Headphone (1), offering a multifunctional roller for volume adjustment, ANC, and controlling playback. An energy slider helps tweak the bass/treble on the go, and another programmable button that can trigger other features like Spatial Audio.

It houses large 40mm dynamic drivers, with support for Hi-Res Audio and LDAC codec. CMF Headphone Pro features adaptive ANC that reduces noise by up to 40 decibels. On a single full charge, these hearables promise up to 100 hours of audio playback with ANC disabled. This falls to just 38 hours with ANC enabled and LDAC playback. You also get fast charging support, with just 5 minutes of charging offering up to 5 hours of battery life.

The CMF Headphone Pro was announced in India for Rs 7,999. But as a part of its introductory launch offer, the headphones are listed with a discounted price tag of just Rs 6,999. First sales kick off on 20th January 2026 via Flipkart and offline retailers.

Earlier this week, Nothing finally confirmed the Indian launch of two of its anticipated new products. The CMF Headphone Pro and Watch 3 Pro were just teased, and now, we have an official launch date for these affordable and customizable headphones.

CMF Headphone Pro India Launch Date

In the latest teaser poster, the brand confirmed that the CMF Headphone Pro will debut in India on 17th January 2026. A new microsite went live on Flipkart, confirming its online retailer availability and some of its key specs and features. Nothing reveals that the CMF Headphone Pro offers an impressive battery life with up to 100 hours of audio playback. This drops to around 50 hours with ANC enabled (Active Noise Cancellation), and there’s also support for fast charging.

A quick 5 minute charge promises up to 4 hours of playback. To recall, Nothing first announced the CMF Headphone Pro globally back in September 2025. So these features are in line with the global variant. The wireless headphones likely bring swappable earcups to let users customize these headphones. Furthermore, you get wired and wireless Hi-Res audio playback, LDAC audio codecs, and Static Spatial Audio with dedicated sound profile presets.

Other notable features include up to 40dB of hybrid ANC and support for Nthe othing X app for improved controls. Like the more expensive Nothing Headphone (1), the CMF Headphone Pro features tactile physical buttons and a roller and slider for physical controls. To recall, Nothing unveiled the CMF Headphone Pro globally back in September 2025, while the CMF Watch 3 Pro made its debut in July 2025. But now, the hearables and wearables are finally making their way to the Indian market. The teaser only shares the gadgets as coming soon, and there is still no word on their official launch date. But we can expect these to carry the same specs and features along with a budget price tag.

Based on what we know so far, the CMF Headphone Pro packs large 40mm drivers, LDAC support, up to 40 decibels of ANC, and impressive battery life of up to 100 hours. The tactile physical buttons return, including the roller and slider. We can expect Nothing to release the CMF Headphone Pro in India with an AI shortcut (ChatGPT) and swappable earcups to let users customize these headphones.

On the other hand, the CMF Watch 3 Pro also arrives with a modular design that lets you change the bezel design. Apart from this, it retains the metallic bezel and bright band colors, including the new Light Green version. It brings a unique modular design for better personalization options along with high end features like ANC and an impressively long battery life on a budget. So here’s everything you need to know.

CMF Headphone Pro: What makes it special?

Following the brand’s design focused philosophy, the CMF Headphone Pro arrives with Nothing’s signature minimalist aesthetic that blends fashion and audio quality. One of the biggest highlights is the swappable earcups that let users mix and match different color options on these headphones. Along with this, you get tactile buttons and sliders, with the latter being called an Energy Slider that allows for fine tuning the bass and treble levels on the go.

There is even a roller to change audio levels, music controls, and toggle ANC. Nothing has packed the CMF Headphone Pro with a dedicated customizable button that can act as an AI shortcut that brings ChatGPT integration. The brand’s budget subsidiary brings 40mm dynamic drivers and a 3 mic setup for ENC and a Wind Noise Conduction Mesh. This also allows for up to 40 decibels of ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and a transparency mode.

It connects via Bluetooth 5.4, with support for AAC, SBC, and LDAC audio codecs. For gamers, the CMF Headphone Pro features a low latency mode as well. The brand’s budget over-the-ear headphones feature Nothing Tuning for the company’s distinct audio signature. On a single full charge, the headphones can last for up to 100 hours with ANC off, which can fall to 50 hours with ANC enabled when paired via AAC. Just 5 minutes of charging also offers up to 5 hours of audio playback.

Other notable features include IPX2 splash resistance, dual device connection, and Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair support. CMF has just announced the Headphone Pro in three color options, namely Light Green, Light Gray, and Dark Gray. It will be available for purchase on 7th October 2025 in the US and EU for 99 US Dollars and 99 Euros, respectively.

A few days ago, the company shared a teaser for their upcoming CMF Headphone Pro, which is expected to be a budget headphones that is positioned below the Nothing Headphone (1). Now, a new video trailer has revealed the hearables’ impressive battery life.

CMF by Nothing Teases Headphone Pro with Marathon 100-Hour Battery

CMF just uploaded a teaser video on X (formerly Twitter), which confirms the CMF Headphone Pro with 100 hours of audio playback. In comparison, the high end Nothing Headphone (1) offers just 35 hours of playback with ANC enabled and up to 80 hours with ANC turned off. So this 100 hour figure is likely with ANC disabled on the CMF Headphone Pro, assuming it even offers Active Noise Cancelling technology.

The trailer also showcases some of the design elements, like the buttons, slider, 3.5mm audio jack, and the earcup. The brand’s earlier teaser showcased what appeared to be a modular design with replaceable earcups, but this new teaser doesn’t reveal any similar detail. But Nothing’s design focused philosophy will likely make a return here again.

Based on what we know so far, the CMF Headphone Pro will be a more affordable pair of headphone similar to the CMF Buds 2, CMF Buds 2+, and CMF Buds 2a that launched earlier this year. Nothing’s sub-brand CMF is gearing up to expand its growing lineup with the launch of its first budget-friendly headphones. The CMF Headphone Pro just had its launch date confirmed, showcasing Nothing’s design-first philosophy and accessible pricing to a wider audience.

CMF Headphone Pro Teased: Nothing’s First Budget Headphones

The brand shared a short video teaser on its official X account (formerly Twitter). Looking at the trailer, Nothing offers us a short glimpse of the CMF Headphone Pro. We see the hearable with CMF’s signature Blue and Orange color options (on the earcup). One interesting detail was the orange earcup on the blue headband. The way the earcup slides into the headphones, Nothing might bring replaceable ear cushions like interchangeable bezels on the CMF Watch 3 Pro.

To recall, the Nothing Headphone (1) were the only over-the-ear headphones from the brand. So the CMF Headphone Pro joins the more expensive model, while also borrowing some of its design elements. We can see the roller style volume controls, a USB Type-C port, a power button, an LED indicator, and a slider that might help in removing the ear cushions. Nothing will unveil the CMF Headphone Pro on 29th September 2025.

Nothing is also working on another audio product, which is the recently teased Ear (3).
