The brand has introduced three new Diwali themed watch faces for its CMF Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2 wearables. CMF’s smartwatches are getting watch faces inspired by the festival, which includes an Oil Lamp, Lotus, and Dancing Lady. The Oil Lamp and Lotus feature a digital clock style, while the Dancing Lady Face features an analog clock style.

As of right now, the three watch faces are already rolling out for Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2 users in India. For those interested, you can access these special watch faces via the CMF By Nothing Watch App. The CMF Watch Pro 2 was announced globally back in July 2024, while the first Watch Pro was launched last year in September. The Watch Pro 2 sports a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 620 nits of peak brightness.

It features an aluminum alloy body with a rotating crown. The smart wearable has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The USP of the smartwatch packs interchangeable bezels that let you customize the look of the smartwatch. The CMF by Nothing Watch Pro 2, a wearable launched in July 2024, is receiving a new software update. Version 1.0.0.51 is rolling out in phases to users, bringing a mix of minor tweaks and a single key feature: Google Health Connect integration – but only for Android users.

The update changelog details a series of optimizations. Incoming call notifications now have a revised light animation, while the presentation of weekly temperature data has been adjusted for better clarity. The world clock function has received a minor tweak in how daylight saving time information is displayed. 

Additionally, specific widgets on the watch now offer an improved presentation for calorie and exercise duration measurements. Finally, the update promises a general “boost” to the user experience, though the changelog lacks specifics.

The most significant addition in version 1.0.0.51 is undoubtedly Google Health Connect integration. This functionality, exclusive to Android devices, allows users to sync health data collected by the Watch Pro 2 with Google’s health data platform. This integration could offer users a more comprehensive view of their health data by combining information from the Watch Pro 2 with data from other fitness trackers and health apps within the Google ecosystem.

The accompanying CMF Watch app, available on both Android and iOS, also receives an update alongside the Watch Pro 2 firmware. The app’s homepage has been redesigned to display data from the Watch Pro 2 (and the original Watch Pro). Additionally, users can now set daily step goals directly within the app.

The wearable device comes with support for 120 sports modes with auto-detection for some exercises. There are also warmup exercises provided by 3D animations. The CMF Watch Pro 2 will have a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with auto-brightness feature. The upcoming offering is also confirmed to come with gesture controls. It will allow users to perform specific tasks just by performing gestures correctly. How this would work remains to be seen but the image reads that you can turn your wrist outward and inward to launch different functions. 

The CMF Watch Pro 2 is expected to be offered in a Black matte finish strap and Orange leather strap options. Its predecessor was launched at a price tag of Rs 4,499. Considering the upgrades, we can expect the upcoming offering to be priced slightly higher.

The Nothing sub-brand has dropped teasers revealing some key details about the upcoming Phone 1, Buds Pro 2, and Watch Pro 2. Previously, CMF teased a small screwdriver. The Phone 1 was already confirmed to come with a screw on the back panel. Now, in the latest teaser, we can see it getting unscrewed using the screwdriver. This suggests that the smartphone could come with a removable back plate for personalization. The CMF Phone 1 is also confirmed to come with an AMOLED display surrounded by thick bezels and a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout. 

The teaser does not divulge into more details. The upcoming offering is confirmed to come in Peppy Orange with leather texture and Black with matte finish colors. It will also have a rotating dial at the bottom right corner but its functionality remains a mystery. 

In a separate teaser, the CMF Buds Pro 2 is said to feature a smart dial for intuitive sound control. It will work like a rotary dial along with the ability to press. We can expect it to be used for adjusting volume, music playback, or any other feature. 

As for the CMF Watch Pro 2, the teaser confirms that it will come with a round dial compared to square on its predecessor. It will have an aluminium alloy body for a refined finish. The upcoming smartwatch shows thin bezels surrounding the display and also a rotating crown.

The CMF Phone 1 is getting a lot of attention before its release. However, there hasn’t been much information about its accompanying wearables, the CMF Watch Pro 2 and CMF Buds Pro 2. Recently, there’s been a development that gives us a bit more insight into these upcoming devices.

Both the CMF Watch Pro 2 and CMF Buds Pro 2 have appeared on the IMDA certification database in Singapore. The wearables have model numbers D398 and B172, respectively. The listing confirms that they will be launched soon, but it doesn’t tell us much about what they will offer regarding specs.

The CMF Watch Pro 2, which has the model number D398, is listed under the Bluetooth category on the IMDA database. This suggests that it won’t have LTE connectivity.

While the IMDA listing doesn’t give details about the features, previous reports reveal that both the CMF Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2 have also received BIS certification in India. This means they will launch alongside the CMF Phone 1 on July 8th, 2024 in India. They’ll be available on Flipkart and the CMF By Nothing official website.

For those unfamiliar with Nothing’s past offerings, here’s a quick rundown of the first-generation CMF Watch Pro and Buds Pro. The CMF Watch Pro sported a 1.96-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness exceeding 600 nits and a resolution of 410 x 502 pixels. 

It caters to health-conscious users with comprehensive 24-hour health tracking. This includes features like real-time heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, sleep and stress tracking, hydration and movement reminders, and personalized fitness goals. 

The smartwatch also has Bluetooth calling support and is powered by a 340mAh battery, promising up to 13 days of typical usage. For ingress protection, it has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

The CMF Buds Pro, on the other hand, focuses on audio experience. They come equipped with hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capable of reducing noise by up to 45 decibels. Additional features include clear call technology and a powerful bass boost option. 

Each earbud packs a 55mAh battery, offering up to 11 hours of playback without ANC. The charging case extended this to a maximum of 39 hours of use. A quick 10-minute charge offered up to five hours of music playback.

The CMF Phone 1’s key details have already surfaced. Based on leaks, it is rumoured to be affordable than the Nothing Phone (2a) having a box price of Rs 19,999. The device will come in the sub-brand’s signature Orange colour with a leather texture back panel as well as a Matte Black variant. The upcoming offering is expected to come with a 6.7-inch 120Hz display. Internally, it is tipped to be powered by a Dimensity 7200 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The device could be backed by a  5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging.

Last week, CMF confirmed the launch of its Phone 1 smartphone with an Orange leather back panel and a smart dial. Leaks and rumors have revealed some key details of the device. Now, the Nothing sub-brand has shared a 15-second teaser video on its X handle. It is titled ‘Reinventing the Wheel’ and refers to the smart dial. The teaser is very cryptic and we are left guessing by CMF. 

CMF Watch and Buds also teased to launch alongside Phone 1

The teaser shows three dials rotating slowly. They don’t appear to belong to a single device. The first device is obviously the CMF Phone 1 as it is confirmed to get the dial at the bottom right side of the back panel. We can see that there is a visible screw under the dial that could serve as a lanyard. We can expect it to perform more functions. The teaser also confirms that the upcoming phone will be available in a Matte Black colour alongside Orange. 

The second product in the teaser pretty much seems to be CMF Buds 2. This is because the dial looks similar to its predecessor. Meanwhile, the third device could be the CMF Watch Pro 2. You can see the rotating dial popping up. This also suggests that it can be replaced to customize the look of the smartwatch. We can expect the Nothing sub-brand to reveal more details about its upcoming products in the coming days. Hopefully, not too confusing and cryptic.
