The latest timeline revealed by the firm details the smartphones that will be receiving the ColorOS 12 beta/stable update in the month of May 2022.

According to the plans shared by the Chinese and the global wings of Oppo, a total of 26 devices will get access to the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 update in May. Out of these, 9 phones will get beta builds, while the remaining 17 handsets will receive stable builds.

OnePlus kicked off the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 beta program for the OnePlus 9R ahead of Christmas. Almost two months, as scheduled, the brand has now started rolling out the stable update for this handset. On the other hand, the international variant, which is sold exclusively in India, only recently entered the OxygenOS 12 Open Beta program.

According to the official announcement post on OnePlus Community China, users need to be at least on firmware version A.15 to receive the ColorOS 12 stable update on their OnePlus 9R.

If they meet the criteria, then they head over to Settings > Software Update > Gear Icon > Upgrade Early Adopters > Application for Official Version. On this page, agree to the privacy policy, click on ‘Apply Now’, followed by ‘Check’ to download and install the Android 12 stable update.

Users need to go through these steps as the update is currently limited to those who want to try it by choice. If these early adopters don’t face any major issues, the release will be made available for everyone in the coming days.

Though the latest system update for the OnePlus 9R is called ‘stable’, OnePlus does mention a bug. The brand says that the lock screen flashes while unlocking with a large number of notifications. The only solution for this right now is to clear notifications.

That said, as mentioned earlier, the international OnePlus 9R just got access to Android 12 beta. Hence, the stable rollout for it will likely take a month or two.

The OPPO A95 5G is a China-exclusive smartphone. It is almost identical to the OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G, which is also known as OPPO Reno5 Z 5G.

The latter two devices have already bagged ColorOS 12 stable update. Hence, the Chinese model has also begun to receive the update following the schedule.

OPPO China recently announced ColorOS 12 update plan for December 2021. Now, the international division of the company also unveils its Android 12 update schedule for this month. Let’s take a look at which devices get access to the beta and the stable releases.

According to the official Twitter account of ColorOS, 9 smartphones will receive ColorOS 12 beta in December 2021. At the same time, 7 handsets will be updated to ColorOS 12 stable.

In the home country, OPPO has scheduled to deliver the beta update for some phones from 2020 this month. But in global markets, beta builds will be limited to 2021 devices for now. Further, the phones that received the beta update in November will get the stable update.

As we are about to enter December, OPPO has revealed its ColorOS 12 update plan for the upcoming month in China. A total of 11 devices will get access to open beta builds, while 8 handsets will be upgraded to the stable channel.

OPPO is the only major smartphone brand to release monthly OS upgrade schedules for its devices. The latest timeline announced by the company for its home country details the handsets that will be updated to Android 12-based ColorOS 12 beta and stable in the month of December 2021.

According to the latest schedule, select handsets from 2021 and 2020 will receive open beta (public beta) builds. Whereas, last year’s flagship OPPO Find X2 series and this year’s OPPO Reno6 series will get the stable update.

OPPO started improving its OS upgrade delivery beginning with ColorOS 7. It got much better with ColorOS 11. Now, with ColorOS 12, the company is setting the bar high.

The OPPO Find X3 Pro was the first device to receive ColorOS 12 beta in international markets. A little over a month later, the smartphone now gets access to the stable release. The latest software update is currently available in three regions.

According to an official announcement post on OPPO Community, ‘ColorOS 12 Official Version’ (aka stable update) is now ready for the OPPO Find X3 Pro in the following markets.

• Malaysia
• Thailand
• Indonesia

Interested users will have to register in order to receive the fresh system update before the general public. To do so, applicants should be on firmware version A.26, head over to Settings > Software Updates > Gear Icon > Trial Version, and follow the on-screen instructions.

The first-ever ColorOS 12 stable build for OPPO Find X3 Pro in the above-listed regions arrives with firmware version CPH2173_11.C.33.

Since Android 12 is out for only a few weeks, OPPO warns of compatibility issues with certain applications. In fact, the company’s own HeyTap Health app is still not compatible with ColorOS 12. Hence, users will not be able to use their OPPO wearable devices. However, the firm promises to fix this issue by the end of November.

Lastly, like any other OTA system update, this one will be also available for all users without needing any registration in the coming days.
