The OnePlus 12 is the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone model. But prior to its official release, the high end device was spotted on a new certification platform, revealing its fast charging prowess. So here are all the details.

OnePlus 12 surfaces on CQC

The Chinese smartphone maker’s upcoming smartphone was spotted on the CQC certification platform carrying the model number CPH2581. Just last week, the OnePlus 12 also visited the TDRA and EEC databases as well. Looking at the online listing, we can see that the device offers support for 10W (5V/2A), 80W (11V/7.3A), and 100W (11V/9.1A) fast charging over a USB Type-C port. The device is believed to offer 50W wireless fast charging as well.

This basically confirms that the global variant features the same fast charging rate as the Chinese version. Unfortunately, finer details regarding the smartphone are still at large. However, a previous 3C certification also confirmed the 100W fast charging rate. In another recent report, we also covered that the OnePlus 12 will feature a Sony LYT-808 primary camera on the back, which is paired with 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera that offers 3x optical zoom.

The premium grade handset will sport an X1 OLED display manufactured by BOE that is confirmed to offer 2K resolution and 2,600nits of peak brightness. The OnePlus 12 is also the first ever smartphone with a 2K resolution to receive the DisplayMate A+ rating. It also appeared on Geekbench with the with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 16 GB of RAM, and the Android 14 OS.

During the previous summer, Oppo introduced its A97 5G smartphone worldwide, which belongs to the budget-friendly category. The phone boasts a 90Hz LCD screen and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset. Currently, it seems that Oppo is preparing to release the successor of this model, which may be called the Oppo A98 5G.

A device with the same name has appeared on the NBTC certification website. It bears the model number CPH2529. The listing does not reveal any specifications, however, it confirms the Oppo A98 5G moniker. Additionally, a device with the same model number has also been spotted on China’s CQC database. It reveals that the drive will feature a 67W fast charging. No other details about the device have appeared on the listing, however, a previous leak starts that it could feature a 120Hz FHD+ display, a Snapdragon 778G chipset, a 5000mAh battery, and a 108MP primary camera. Let’s take a look at its predecessor to get an idea of what to expect.

Oppo A97 5G specs

The Oppo A97 5G boasts a sleek flat-frame design that houses a rectangular island on the rear panel. The island features two circular camera modules. The phone is reasonably lightweight, weighing 188g, and measures 163.8 × 75.1 × 7.99mm. It has a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels and boasts a 90Hz refresh rate. It also has a dewdrop notch and dual stereo speakers with Dirac support.

Under the hood, the Oppo A97 5G runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It operates on Android 12-based ColorOS 12, offering a smooth user experience. The smartphone has a dual-camera system with a 48MP + 2MP configuration on the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. It offers dual-SIM card slots, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, and GNSS for connectivity. Moreover, it has a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Lastly, the Oppo A97 5G packs a whopping 5,000mAh battery, providing long-lasting performance. It also supports 33W fast charging, ensuring quick and convenient battery replenishment.

Back in 2022, OnePlus had launched the new Nord Buds series of truly wireless earbuds, which were its first hearable products from its budget Nord branding. Now, it appears that the successor Nord Buds 2 launch is just around the corner. So here are all the details.

For those unaware, the Chinese smartphone maker released the Nord Buds and Nord Buds CE as a budget TWS offering. The company is now planning to release the successor to these models with the OnePlus Nord Buds 2. These hearables were spotted on the IMDA certification website with the model number E508A. Similarly, the Nord Buds 2 was also spotted on the CQC certification website, which reveals that it features USB Type C port for charging.

Unfortunately, these certifications do not reveal any finer details regarding the upcoming earphones. Although, the CQC certification does reveal that it supports 1.5W charging output for the earbuds and 4.5W charging input for the charging case. We can also make some educated guesses based on the last gen models. The Nord Buds had launched with 12.4mm titanium dynamic drivers with a dual microphone setup for AI noise cancellation but did not feature ANC and a transparency mode.

So, we can expect slight improvements in specifications, or possibly even offer a new design as well. Notably, there is also a chance that the brand decides to offer active noise cancellation in these budget models since ANC is a lot more common on budget earbuds in the Indian market these days. But keep in mind that this is still just speculation at the moment so take this news with a pinch of salt for now.

Chinese smartphone maker vivo is known for its vivo X series globally. However, the company’s bestsellers are part of the vivo Y series. The firm is known for releasing multiple models in this lineup every now and then. According to new findings, the company’s next Y series handset will be called vivo Y53s.

As per a report by MySmartPrice, the forthcoming vivo Y53s has been certified by CQC and BIS. Additionally, the device has been also listed on Google Play Console. These online listings of the smartphone have revealed some of its specifications.

First and foremost, the vivo Y53s bears the model number V2058. Secondly, this phone has been certified by BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). Therefore, it could launch in India.

Then, the handset’s CQC certification says that it will support 33W fast charging. This is interesting as most of the vivo Y series devices only support 18W fast charging.

Lastly, according to Google Play Console, the vivo Y53s will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset paired with 8GB RAM. The amount of RAM is again unusual for a vivo Y series phone. Last but not least, the smartphone will sport an FHD+ display with 440 DPI and will run Android 11.

We expect to learn more about the vivo Y53s before the device’s official launch in the coming days.
