This new CM14 ROM for the OnePlus 3 obviously isn’t for everybody but those who before now enjoy playing around with the CyanogenMod on their smartphones. If you think you have an idea what this is, you can as well hop on the adventure train. The software is still in beta stage, though, so there are some few bugs here and there.

However, the CM 14 ROM is touted to boot well, fingerprint scanner, mobile data, DPI selector, Audio, GPS, and perhaps NFC all work well on the unofficial ROM. Other features like Google Play application installing, Bluetooth, DASH charge, Alert Slider and calling also work. Only the camera have been noticed for now not to work and the bug is being worked on.

For the others who just like me, know nothing about playing around with CyanogenMod ROM, just keep an eye on the XDA forum for a stable version that’ll offer you Android N on your beloved OnePlus 3. One Plus is becoming more interesting smartphone since the device is not only offers with the high-end hardware specification, but  also comes with custom ROM system that develop by CyanogenMod.

According to the news, the phone will get the CyanogenMod CM11 update and awill be available with tow user interface options, MIUI or Color OS.

The OnePlus One smartphone is becoming hype and more people is interesting to buy this phone but  now some buyers has not received their smartphone since the company has the security vulnerabilities that were recently discovered lurking in the OpenSSL software tool (yes, that’s the very same OpenSSL package that was also at the center of the Heartbleed scare), becuase the CyanogenMod team is decided to restoration their system and will be release the stable-version ROM. This cause the delay of the shipping device for international market.

Fortunately, the device will be available in the end of June and the Color OS 2.0 version can be download before the end of June.

The OPPO N1 smartphone comes with original ColorOS, but now they also ready to get the CyanogenMod ROM since the OPPO company is cooperative with Cyanogen, the one of custom ROM developer for Android device.

While OPPO is also preparing the special edition of OPPO N1 smartphone that powerd by CyanogenMOd ROM as default, but now thr CyanogenMod ROM is available for every OPPO N1 device.

Because the ROM was built specifically for the device, you won’t lose access to the handset’s more unique features — even the rear touch-panel and the swiveling camera lens.

With those ROM, OPPO N1 will becoming more aceptable for global market and the OPPO N1 has a unique camera feature since this phone is comes with rotating camera lens and remote device.

Here is the tips and trick to update to CyanogenMod ROM (credit :OPPO forums):

// HOW TO INSTALL CM //
To install CyanogenMod just follow these easy steps below.
Please be warned that by installing this you will lose all your data on your phone including installed applications, contacts, messages, but your files will still remain. Make sure to backup your important data!

• Copy the file you have downloaded to your N1
• Turn off your phone
• Boot into the OPPO Recovery by holding down the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time
• Select English in the OPPO Recovery
• Select “Wipe data and cache” and wait for it to finish
• Select “Install from SD” and browse the file you have previously copied to your phone
• Wait for the update to finish and then select Reboot

// HOW TO INSTALL ColorOS //
If you ever decide to go back and use ColorOS again, you can easily do that by following the steps above with a ColorOS firmware.
