The Indian brand Daiwa has introduced a new 65-inch 4K D65U1WOS smart TV in India. The 43′′ and 55′′ versions of this TV were released in December 2021. So, let’s take a look at its specs, features, and pricing.

The smart TV uses a 65-inch DLED display panel with 4K (2,160×3,840 pixels) resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 16:09 aspect ratio. It also offers HDR10 and 1000000:1 contrast ratio.

The TV features dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5 for connectivity. Under the hood, it has a quad-core ARM CA55 SoC, paired with a Mali G31 MP2 GPU. The chipset is complemented by 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage. It operates on LG’s WebOS. For audio output, the TV features 20W surround sound box speakers with Dolby Audio tuning.

Other highlight features of the smart TV include Magic Remote, ThinQ AI, built-in Alexa, air mouse, click wheel and intelligent edit options. It comes pre-installed with apps like Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLIV, and more.

Daiwa 32-inch, 39-inch Smart TVs launched with Android OS and Cloud TV Voice Control support

India’s Daiwa launched new Smart TVs in the market. The highlights of the TVs are that they come with pre-installed OTT apps and have Voice Assitant support.

Daiwa 32-inch TV has two models – D32SM9 and D32M9A priced at Rs. 11,990(~$160) and Rs. 12,490(~$167), respectively. The Daiwa 39-inch TV has D40HDR9L and D40HDR9LA models priced at Rs. 17,490(~$235) and Rs. 18,490(~$248), respectively. The Smart TVs will be available on the company’s online website and even at some retail stores in the country.

Daiwa D32M9 and D32M9A come with a 32-inch HD-ready(1366 x 768 pixels) display and has Quantum Luminit technology. On the other hand, the D40HDR9L and D40HDR9LA sport a 39-inch HD-ready(1366 x 768 pixels) with the same technology. The major difference between these TVs is that the models with “A” have the Voice Assistant support, which the non-A models lack.

The Smart TVs are powered by an unspecified quad-core chipset that has ARM Cortex A53 cores. There’s 1GB RAM in the TVs and they run on Android 9.0 OS.

Wi-Fi, HDMI ports, USB Type-A ports, Ethernet port, and an optical output port are some of the connectivity options of the TVs. The television models also support Bluetooth connectivity via an external Bluetooth dongle. The Smart TVs come with Voice Assitant support that can be activated with the help of the remote’s built-in microphone.

The television models come with most of the Indian OTT apps pre-installed like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Zee5, Disney+ Hotstar, Youtube, Sun NXT, and SonyLiv. The TVs also come with the Movie Box app that has over 25,000 free movies to browse from.

LG televisions are known for webOS, ThinQ AI, and Magic Remote. What if we tell you there’s a non-LG branded TV with all these features. Yes, you heard it right. The new Daiwa D50U1WOS TV offers all these functionalities and more for less than what LG charges.

Videotex is an Indian television OEM/ODM. The company is in the industry since 1982. It even sells TV models under its three self-owned brands, namely Daiwa, Telefunken, and Shinco.

The firm appears to have partnered with its new Daiwa D50U1WOS Smart TV. Hence, it comes with all the LG smart TV features.

Daiwa D50U1WOS Smart TV Specifications and Features

The D50U1WOS Smart TV flaunts a 50-inch A+ grade DLED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K), 1.07 billion colors, 1000000:1 contrast ratio, and 400 nits peak brightness. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, thin bezels on three sides, and a 60Hz refresh rate with support for MEMC.

The TV comes with a self-developed 4K upscaling feature called Quantum Luminit+. It also supports two popular HDR standards – HDR10 and HLG.

Further, the television features a metal body. It is powered by a quad-core processor consisting of 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.1GHz and ARM Mali G31 MP2 GPU clocked at 700MHz. This chipset is paired with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.

As for software, unlike most smart TVs in the market, this one runs LG’s webOS instead of Google’s Android TV. Hence, it supports all the leading streaming services, ThinQ AI features, and ships with the iconic LG Magic Remote.
