Chinese tech start-up Dangbei has unveiled its D5X projector with flagship credentials. The new generation projector comes with the MediaTek MT9669 chip and delivers up to 1100 ANSI lumens of brightness. The new projector has a compact body design and an overall powerful configuration.

The Dangbei Projector D5X is just as thick as a book (less than 5cm) and weighs about 1kg. It has HDMI 2.1 eARC, dual USB 2.0, an RJ-45 network, and a 3.5mm audio jack, among others. The projector can fit seamlessly into the smallest of spaces and its impressive brightness is a boon. It has aviation-grade hardware mesh and can be used in multiple settings.

The new Dangbei projector has a self-cooling mechanism that keeps the operating noise level below 24 dB. One of the major highlights of the D5X projector is its MT9669 chip and quad-core A73 architecture. It is also equipped with 3GB of memory and 16GB of storage for optimal and seamless performance.

Another highlight of the D5X projector is the new generation DLP light engine with a maximum of 1100 ANSI lumens. Dangbei says that there are no models with the same capacity and price tag as the D5X. The light engine has a life cycle of 30,000 hours, which can last for up to a decade.

The Dangbei D5X supports AI Smart Color Pro and AI True Color Engine Pro for overall improved image quality. The transmission ratio is 1.2:1 and the projection screen can go from 30 inches to 300 inches. It also supports HDR10+, HLG dual decoding, and MEMC global motion compensation.

Automatic keystone correction, sensor-less autofocus, automatic screen entry, and automatic obstacle avoidance are all featured in the projector. A built-in symmetrical 5W stereo double speakers, a 360ml sound cavity, and Dolby Audio as well as DTS HD provide solid audio output for the projector.

The Dangbei D5X projector is now on presale in China with a 3,099 yuan (~$449) price tag. A 100 yuan deposit will give buyers a discount of 100 yuan and the product will be sold for 2,999 yuan (~$435).
