70mai has launched its latest dash cam, the 4K A810S, designed to offer high-resolution recording with advanced safety features. The new dash cam is available now on 70mai’s official website, starting at $199.

The company pairs the sensor with its MaiColor Vivid+ processing and an ROI algorithm that prioritizes details in specific areas of the frame. This approach improves clarity for license plate recognition when lighting conditions change quickly.

Garmin has launched its new Dash Cam X Series in India. The lineup includes four models called the Dash Cam Mini 3, Dash Cam X110, Dash Cam X210 and the Dash Cam X310. All four cameras use Garmin’s updated Clarity HDR optics and the Clarity polarizer to reduce glare and improve video visibility during the day and at night. Each model works with the Garmin Drive app for clip viewing, syncing, cloud uploads and remote monitoring.

The Dash Cam Mini 3 is the smallest model. It has a compact design that fits behind the rear-view mirror and records 1080p HDR video with a 140 degree field of view. It uses a supercapacitor instead of a battery and mounts with an adhesive base. It supports voice control and incident detection through a G sensor. It does not have built-in GPS but can access GPS data when paired with a GPS-enabled Garmin camera. It supports microSD cards from 8 GB to 512 GB. Google is apparently planning on launching a new Dashcam feature that will be making its way its Pixel series of smartphones. The feature was recently spotted after it was accidentally released on the Play Store. So here’s all we know about the new feature.

Google Pixel phone to soon feature a Dashcam Mode

The new feature from the Search Engine giant was spotted on the Personal Safety app’s latest build, which is dubbed 2023.04.27.532191641.8-dogfood. This build featured the new Dashcam mode. As the name suggests, the mode let’s your Pixel smartphone to record video and audio while driving. Dashcams in general are pretty handy and help capture valuable information in case of any accidents or other issues while on the road.

For those unaware, the Personal Safety app offers a number of other features like Emergency Sharing, Car Crash Detection, and Safety Check. So once the Dashcam mode is rolled out, users can access the feature through a dedicated “Dashcam” shortcut on the home page. When the Pixel phone is in Dashcam mode, the smartphone can still be fully used. In other words, you still have access to navigation via Google Maps.

Notably, the feature is built to be automatic and users can also start recordings when they connect to specific Bluetooth devices like the car stereo system. Although, the recordings will end when the connection is ended. Furthermore, recordings will automatically be deleted after three days unless saved manually. For better storage efficiency, the app also compresses videos to around 30MB for every minute and a maximum recording will only go up to 24 hours. This news also arrives after Google released a Kenny G inspired ringtone for its Pixel phones.
