Xiaomi looks like it’s preparing to expand its smart home lineup again, this time with a more powerful dehumidifier. The Xiaomi Smart Dehumidifier has now shown up on the company’s global website, which usually points to a wider launch not being too far away.

The headline feature here is the 22L per day dehumidification capacity. It should be able to handle larger rooms without much trouble. Xiaomi is also pitching it for everyday scenarios like bedrooms, bathrooms, or even drying clothes indoors.

It comes with a 4.5L water tank, and Xiaomi says that’s enough for around eight hours of use before it needs to be emptied. There’s also the option to connect a drain pipe, so it can run continuously if needed. That part feels pretty practical, especially if you plan to leave it running for long stretches.

There are three modes to work with: Smart, Dry, and Sleep. Smart mode adjusts things automatically depending on the humidity in the room, while Sleep mode brings the noise down to about 35.5 dB. That should be quiet enough to leave it on overnight, at least in most situations.

You get a small display on the unit itself showing real-time humidity, and controls are available both on-device and through the Xiaomi Home app. It also works with Google Assistant and Alexa, which is expected at this point, but still useful.

The design is pretty typical Xiaomi. Clean, white, and simple. It’s not exactly small, but still manageable, and the built-in wheels should make it easier to move around from room to room.

There’s no official pricing yet, and Xiaomi hasn’t shared an exact launch date either. It will likely sit above the existing Smart Dehumidifier Lite, which gives some idea of where it might land.

Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Inverter Purifying Dehumidifier Max in China. The new model targets users in large homes and high-humidity environments and is priced at 3,799 yuan ($544) during the pre-sale period.

The device features a dehumidification capacity of up to 60 liters per day. The unit comes with a dual-rotor inverter compressor and a fully inverter-driven system, including the compressor, fan motor, and stepper motor.

The system delivers high-performance moisture control while maintaining energy efficiency and low noise. It supports continuous operation in environments above 10°C and prevents frost buildup through precise evaporator temperature control.

The device can bring humidity in a 15-square-meter bedroom down to a comfortable level in just seven minutes. It supports coverage of up to 120 square meters, making it suitable for large living rooms, duplex homes, and basement spaces. The unit carries a nominal dehumidification power rating of 520W, with peak input reaching up to 650W.

The dehumidifier also works as an advanced air purifier, using a five-stage purification system that combines an antibacterial pre-filter, a high-precision particulate filter, a formaldehyde removal layer, UVC sterilization, and a plasma generator.

The purification function can run independently when dehumidification is not needed. Particle CADR ranges from 300 to 352 cubic meters per hour, while formaldehyde CADR reaches up to 170 cubic meters per hour, depending on environmental conditions.

Xiaomi equips the unit with a 9-liter water tank to reduce emptying, along with a built-in drainage pump that supports up to 5 meters of vertical drainage and 30 meters horizontally.

The device includes safety features such as overflow protection, tilt detection, overheat protection, and a child lock. It also offers a wide-angle clothes-drying mode that can dry up to 10 cotton garments in around 75 minutes while helping reduce moisture on walls and inside cabinets.

For smart control, the unit supports HyperOS. It connects to the Mi Home app, allowing users to monitor air quality, switch modes, and operate the device remotely, with added support for voice assistants. It also features a built-in LCD panel that shows real-time temperature, humidity, and PM2.5 data.

In related news, Xiaomi has recently launched the Mijia Washing Machine Pro 12kg with super electrolysis and smart dosing, and also introduced its flagship electric shaver featuring dual-ring stainless-steel blades and up to 95 days of battery life.

Xiaomi has introduced a new appliance from its Mijia series, the Smart Inverter Dehumidifier 30L, in China. The product is currently available for pre-order on JD.com and will officially become available for purchase at 10 AM on December 3rd, priced at an introductory rate of 1999 yuan ($276). This dehumidifier is equipped with a Panasonic dual-rotor variable frequency compressor paired with a DC variable frequency motor, providing robust power for rapid moisture removal within 10 minutes. The strong dual-core power is complemented by a patented C-type heat exchanger module that increases the water vapor interception area by 46%, enhancing the dehumidification process.

It comes with a considerable dehumidification capacity of 30 liters per day, which makes it suitable for large spaces. With the capability to cover single-room areas up to 60m², its portability is further enhanced by universal wheels, allowing easy movement across different rooms.

The Xiaomi Mijia Dehumidifier 30L also sports innovative frost prevention technology. It precisely controls the temperature of the evaporator to ensure steady dehumidification without frosting, even during the cold and damp conditions typical of “returning south weather,” in China which often causes standard dehumidifiers to frost and cease functioning.

In terms of noise reduction, this model incorporates eight layers of noise reduction technology, including a biomimetic fan blade design and vibration reduction structures, reducing the operational noise significantly. This allows the unit to operate as quietly as 30.4dB(A) in sleep mode, making it as quiet as flipping through a book, ensuring a disturbance-free environment.

Energy efficiency is a significant advantage of this dehumidifier. Based on its double variable frequency technology, the device operates with high stability and autonomously adjusts speed, minimizing the high energy consumption associated with frequent starts and stops of traditional dehumidifiers. When run continuously for eight hours in sleep mode, it consumes only about 0.984 kWh of electricity, potentially saving up to 211 yuan ($29) in annual electricity costs.

Moreover, it equips a built-in plasma generator that releases high-energy positive and negative ions for effective sterilization. Alongside a dense silver ion filter, it blocks large airborne particles and reduces bacterial proliferation, refreshing the air for healthier breathing. The device’s antibacterial rate against common pathogens like Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli exceeds 99.9%.

The dehumidifier’s ease of use is further enhanced by its large LCD screen, which displays temperature and humidity levels clearly. It supports HyperOS as well as Xiaomi’s Mi Home app for remote control and voice control via XiaoAi, making it easy to manage home humidity levels from anywhere.

The product is priced at 799 Yuan ($112) at its retail price but is currently available at a discounted price of 749 Yuan ($105) for pre-orders. Let’s delve into the key specs of this smart product.

Mijia Smart Dehumidifier weighs 11.1 kilograms and features hidden wheels for easy mobility. It has a daily dehumidification capacity of 13 liters and operates quietly at 35 dB to minimize disturbance. The device includes a spacious 3L water tank, reducing the frequency of emptying. Additionally, its 360-degree wide-angle air outlet ensures extensive coverage, allowing for continuous operation for up to 10 hours.

Earlier today (27th October 2021), a new MIJIA product went live for crowdfunding on the Xiaomi Youpin platform. The new product in question is the MIJIA Smart Dehumidifier 22L that is also available on the Xiaomi Mall.

The new MIJIA Smart Dehumidifier is the latest smart home appliance from the company. It offers up to 8 hours of continuous dehumidification and supports running without the need for water. The new dehumidifier arrives with a sizeable 22 liter capacity, which allows it to run for multiple hours at a stretch. During its operations it can automatically stop running when it detects that its tank is full to prevent overflow and leakage. Furthermore, it can directly be connected to an external drainage pipe that will allow it directly discharge the dehumidification waste water, without having to worry about the water being full and having shut the machine down to empty its waste water manually.

Notably, MIJIA has included universal rollers on the bottom that makes it easier to move around in the move to different locations. It even offers three modes, namely, intelligent mode where it uses built in high precision temperature and humidity sensor for automatic dehumidification, Drying mode where it continuously dehumidifies at the maximum level, and sleep mode, which has it run as low as 35.5dB(A) to not disturb the sleep of the users.

As of right now, the device is available on the Xiaomi Mall and Youpin platform and costs 1,499 yuan (roughly 234 US Dollars) but its crowdfunding price is set at 1,299 Yuan (roughly 203 US Dollars). Since it is a smart product it also supports the MIJIA app along with the XiaoAI smart voice assistant. It can even be paired with other MIJIA smart home products and houses a large digital screen that displays crucial information as well.

Xiaomi has once again teased the launch of its 74th MIJIA Smart home product. The company released a poster this morning on the MIJIA Smart home Weibo page which indicates that the product would launch on April 6 by 10 AM.

The poster that was teased contains the photo of some bamboo stems and leaves and the post had some keywords such as “dampness” and “breathable”. This is perhaps, an indication that the product is one which improves the air we breathe by reducing dampness and moistures from the air. This points at the likelihood of a Dehumidifier.

A dehumidifier is generally a household appliance which reduces the level of humidity in the air, usually for health or comfort reasons, or to eliminate musty odour.
