At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Dell brought back its iconic XPS laptop family with the launch of the new XPS 14 and XPS 16. Both models are powered by Intel’s cutting-edge Core Ultra Series 3 processors and bring premium thin and light designs. So here’s everything you need to know.

Dell XPS 14

Dell’s XPS 14 is a compact powerhouse with a body crafted from CNC-milled aluminium with Gorilla Glass 3 covering the top surface, combining strength and premium aesthetics in a portable form factor. The company is calling the overall design “new” while also referring to these notebooks as “getting back to our roots”. It measures around 1.36 kilograms and offers two display options. The first is a 14-inch 2.8K OLED InfinityEdge panel with 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage and Dolby Vision HDR, while the alternative is a 2K LCD panel with a wide colour gamut and a 120Hz variable refresh that goes down to 1Hz to conserve power.

Under the hood, it is equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra X7 385H, Core Ultra 7 355, or Ultra 5 325, which delivers improved performance and power efficiency. You also get up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD. Connectivity options include three Thunderbolt 4 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, Bluetooth 6, and Wi-Fi 7. A large 70Wh battery pack powers this notebook, which promises up to 40 hours of local video playback.

Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 launch at CES 2026

For audio, there is a quad speaker setup that consists of a 3W main unit and 2W tweeter units. So it has a total output of 10W with Dolby Atmos tuning. Other notable features include up to 50 TOPS of AI performance from the new NPU, Intel Arc integrated graphics, and an 8MP webcam with Windows Hello. The base XPS 14 is priced at around 2,049.99 US Dollars for the Graphite model, with additional configurations expected to arrive in February and more colour options rolling out later in the year.

Dell XPS 16

For users who favour a larger screen and more immersive workspace, the XPS 16 delivers similar premium build quality with extra room for productivity and entertainment. As the name suggests, it has a taller 16–inch panel which is also available in either a 3.2K 20-120Hz OLED InfinityEdge touchscreen with deep contrast and vibrant colours or a 2K LCD panel with the same 1-120Hz variable refresh rate. Both panels feature Dolby Vision and advanced colour calibration for creative workflows.

Like its smaller sibling, the XPS 16 leverages Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors (up to the Core Ultra X9 388H), coupled with integrated Intel Arc graphics for significant CPU and GPU uplift versus previous generations. The other three chip variants are also available in this model. Memory and storage top out at 64GB LPDDR5X RAM and 4TB PCIe Gen5 SSD, respectively. Audio comes from the identical quad speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, while the rest of the connectivity options, design elements, and features like the battery size are mostly the same. The initial US starting price sits around 2,199.99 US Dollars for the base configurations, with additional models and options to follow.

Why this announcement matters

Dell’s decision to reintroduce the XPS brand comes in response to enthusiastic feedback from customers who missed the classic premium lineup. The company is betting that refreshed designs and next-gen Intel silicon will resonate with creators, professionals, and everyday users alike. Dell XPS 14, XPS 16 With OLED Displays, Intel Core Ultra SoC Along With Inspiron 14 Plus Announced In India

At CES earlier in January this year, Dell announced new XPS laptops with Intel Core Ultra processors and a Copilot key. Now, the American PC brand has brought the XPS 14, XPS 16, and Inspiron 14 Plus laptops to the Indian markets. All three machines pack premium specifications and features. It’s worth noting that the XPS duo and Inspiron offering are different from each other.

Dell XPS 14, XPS 16 specifications and features

As the names suggest, the Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 come with 14.5 and 16.3-inch screen sizes bearing a resolution of 3.2K and 4K respectively. Both models have an OLED display panel with touch support, a 400 nits peak brightness, and a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 have zero lattice backlit keyboards with gapless keys. There is a capacitive touch function along with a dedicated Microsoft Copilot key. The laptops have a quad-speakers and an FHD webcam.

Under the hood, the Dell XPS 14 and 16 are equipped with Core Ultra 7 chipsets. The latter is also offered in Core Ultra 9. The XPS 14 comes in Intel Arc GPU or GeForce RTX 4050 option whereas the XPS 16 features RTX 4060 onboard. Both machines pack up to 32GB RAM and 1TB storage. The XPS 14 is backed by a 69.5 WHr battery cell whereas the XPS 16 is powered by a 99.5 WHr unit. The XPS duo have a host of connectivity ports including WiFi-7, Bluetooth 5.4, and more.

Dell Inspiron 14 Plus specifications

The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus comes with a 14-inch LCD display bearing a resolution of 2.2K pixels and 300 nits peak brightness. The laptop has a backlit keyboard along with a fingerprint reader. There is an FHD webcam with a privacy shutter and dual digital microphone array.

Internally, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 chipset with integrated Intel Arc graphics onboard. There is 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB SSD storage. The machine is backed by a 64Wh battery cell with support for 100W charging.

Dell XPS 14, 16, Inspiron 14 Plus pricing and availability

The Dell XPS 14 and XPS 16 laptops start at Rs 1,99,990 and Rs 2,99,990 respectively for the base configurations. Both models will be available for purchase starting April 25 across online and offline channels. The Inspiron 14 Plus carries a starting price tag of Rs 1,05,990 and is available for purchase.

Dell’s new XPS 13, 14 & 16 laptops now on store shelves with up to Intel Ultra 9 processor

Dell‘s latest additions to the XPS laptop family, the XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16, are officially on sale. Announced in January 2024 following a leak in 2023, these models offer updated features and improved performance across the board.

The XPS 13 starts at $1,399, making it the most affordable option in the new lineup. For those requiring more screen space, the XPS 14 and XPS 16 are available starting at $1,699 and $1,899, respectively.

Key updates include the replacement of older models with these new versions: the XPS 16 takes over from the XPS 17, the XPS 14 from the XPS 15, and the XPS 13 from the XPS 13 Plus series. Each model brings significant enhancements in terms of processing power, storage, and display quality.

The XPS 16 features an Ultra 9 185H processor, 64GB of memory, and a 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, along with an RTX 4070 graphics card. It has a 16.3-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 3840×2400, supporting touch, and a variable refresh rate of 48-90Hz. The device includes three Thunderbolt 4 ports, a MicroSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, housed in a body that’s 18.7mm thick and weighs between 2.1 to 2.2kg, powered by a 99.5Wh battery.

The XPS 14 comes with an Ultra 7 165H processor, 64GB of memory, a 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and an RTX 4050 graphics card. Its 14.5-inch OLED touchscreen supports a resolution of 3200×2000 and a 48-120Hz variable refresh rate. The laptop features a similar port array to the XPS 16, with a slightly slimmer 18mm profile, weighing between 1.68 to 1.74kg, and a 69.5Wh battery.

Lastly, the XPS 13 offers an Ultra 7 165H processor, 64GB of memory, and a 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The 13.4-inch OLED touchscreen supports a resolution of 2800×1800 and a 48-60Hz refresh rate. It includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, measures 14.8-15.3mm in thickness, and weighs 1.17-1.19kg, with a 55Wh battery.
