Moto G54 5G launch date for India official, key specifications, design revealed

Motorola is all set to launch the Moto G84 5G on Sept. 1 in India. A teaser that emerged yesterday suggested that the brand will also announce the Moto G54 in the next few days. Today, it confirmed that the G54 5G will be announced on Sept. 6 in the country. Its landing page revealing its key features is now live on Flipkart and Motorola India’s website.

The official listing has revealed that the Moto G54 5G will arrive with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the back, the device has a glass-like finish and an aluminum camera housing.

For selfies, the Moto G54 has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Its rear panel features an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera. The main snapper will be joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For security, the device is equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Moto G54 5G will be India’s first smartphone to feature the Dimensity 7020 chipset. It will come with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Reports have revealed that there will be a lower variant featuring 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in storage. The G54 will house a 6,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

Moto G54 5G price in India (rumored)

The Moto G54 5G will be available in shades like Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Midnight Blue. A premature listing of the phone on Reliance Digital revealed that its variants, such as 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, will be priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs 18,999, respectively.

For those who don’t know, Motorola will also announce the Moto G54 on Sept. 5 in China. It is unclear whether the Chinese variant will be different from the one releasing in India.

Moto G84, Moto G54 prices revealed as Reliance Digital accidentally lists both phones before launch

Motorola is set to launch the Moto G84 5G and G54 5G in India on Sept. 1 and Sept. 6, respectively. Like other Motorola phones, the G84 will be available for purchase through Flipkart. Reliance Digital is another online platform that sells Motorola smartphones. While the G84 is scheduled to launch on Friday, it appears that the device was inadvertently listed a few hours ago on Reliance Digital. In addition, the upcoming Moto G54 also emerged on the same retailer site. The listings of both smartphones (now removed) revealed the prices of their different variants.

As can be seen in the screenshots, the Moto G84 5G, which comes in 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage configuration only, was listed on Reliance Digital for Rs 19,999.

The Moto G54 5G was listed on the retailer’s site in two variants. The 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant was priced at Rs 14,999, while the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant was listed for Rs 18,999.

Motorola has already confirmed the specifications of the G84. It has a 6.55-inch P-OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 695 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W charging. It features a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 13-megapixel (ultra-wide) dual-camera system.

Motorola recently confirmed that it will announce the Moto G54 on Sept. 5 in China. The leaked renders of the phone that appeared last week have revealed its design and color variants. A report by Appuals has appeared to reveal all the major specs of the phone before its official announcement. Here is a look at what to expect from the smartphone:

According to the report, the Moto G54 5G has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. It offers an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Dimensity 7020 chip, which also powers the Vivo Y77t that debuted earlier this month in China.

The report claims that the Moto G54 5G will come in two configurations: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The device will pack a 6,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. It is expected to come preloaded with MyUX-based Android 13.

The Moto G54 5G will come equipped with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the G54 will feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 118-degree FOV. Vivo Y77t spotted with Dimensity 7020, 12GB RAM, and more at Google Play Console

Vivo could be planning to launch a new Y-series phone called the Vivo Y77t. The unannounced device has appeared with model number V2278A for the first time in the Google Supported Devices list and Play Console. Interestingly, the model number is also associated with other Vivo phones.

The V2278A model number also belongs to the Vivo Y78 and Vivo Y78m. While the Vivo Y78 has already gone official, the Y78m, which was spotted at Play Console in May, is yet to break cover. Here is a look at the specifications that have emerged through the Play Console listing of the Vivo Y77t.

The Vivo Y77t’s image available in the Play Console listing reveals that it has a curved-edge display with a centred punch-hole. As per the listing, the screen supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y77t features the MediaTek MT6855 chip, which comprises 2 x ARM Cortex-A78 CPU working at 2.2GHz, 6 x ARM Cortex-A55 clocking at 2.0GHz, and IMG BMX 8-256 950MHz GPU. These details reveal that the Vivo Y77t is powered by the Dimensity 7020 chipset.

The listing further reveals that the Vivo Y77t is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and runs on Android 13. It has no information on the cameras, battery, or fast charging capabilities of the device.

The Vivo Y78 also packs the same specs. It comes with other specs, such as an 8-megapixel front camera, 50-megapixel dual rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

As of now, there’s no official information on the Vivo Y77t’s launch date or the markets it will be available in. Devices that appeared on the Play Console are known to go official soon. Hence, it is expected to go official in the next few weeks.

Vivo Y78m listed on China Telecom with identical specifications to the Y78

The Vivo Y78m has been listed on the China Telecom website, indicating that Vivo may soon introduce another Y-series smartphone in the Chinese market. This comes shortly after the company unveiled the Vivo Y78 5G smartphone.

The listing was spotted by Pricebaba on the Chinese e-commerce website China Telecom. The listing confirms that the device will feature a 6.4-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. Furthermore, the upcoming Vivo Y78m will come with a 5000mAh battery and a 50MP camera system.

Previously, the Y78m was spotted on Geekbench, which indicated that it could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 (aka Dimensity 930) chipset. Moreover, the device will support 44W fast charging, as per the 3C listing.

The Vivo Y78m is expected to feature a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary lens, and an LED flash. It will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device will run on FunTouch OS, which is based on Android 13, and will support USB 2.0 Type-C charging port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

It’s important to note that the specifications listed for the Vivo Y78m are identical to those of the recently launched Vivo Y78. It remains to be seen if there are any features that set the Y78m apart from its counterpart. Vivo has released its latest mid-range smartphone, the Vivo Y78 5G, in China. This new device follows the launch of the Vivo Y78+ just last month. Boasting a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC, which is essentially a rebranded version of the Dimensity 930 chipset (Check out our coverage about the MediaTek Dimensity SoC rebrand), the Y78 5G also offers a sizable battery and fast charging capabilities. Vivo has recently launched the Y78 5G in China, which is a mid-range smartphone that features a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC. The SoC is an octa-core processor based on a 6nm process and has a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. The device comes with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with support for expandable storage via a microSD card slot.

The device sports a 6.64-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2388×1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The screen has a pixel density of 394PPI and a 91.06 percent screen-to-body ratio.
