<h3><strong>Interstellar-Inspired Design With Alive Matrix Display</strong></h3>

<p>The TECNO POVA 8 5G continues the brand’s futuristic design language with an Interstellar Spaceship-inspired look. The phone features a geometric rear camera module and a semi-transparent back panel that gives it a modern appearance.</p>

<p>One of the biggest highlights is the new Alive Matrix Display on the rear panel. This customizable LED lighting system can react to incoming calls, notifications, music playback, gaming events, charging status, and other alerts. TECNO says users can choose from 49 preset lighting effects or create their own custom animations.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="550" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65-1024x550.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-741697" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65-1024x550.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65-300x161.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65-768x412.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65-696x374.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65-1068x573.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65-783x420.png 783w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-65.png 1252w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>Massive 8,000mAh Battery Promises Two-Day Usage</strong></h3>

<p>Battery life is a major focus of the POVA 8 5G. The device packs a large 8,000mAh battery that is TÜV SÜD certified for up to two days of regular use. TECNO claims the phone can deliver more than 60 hours of calling, 85 hours of music playback, 29 hours of YouTube streaming, and over 14 hours of gaming on a single charge.</p>

<p>The company also says the battery is designed for long-term durability, retaining over 80% of its health after 2,000 charge cycles and offering up to six years of reliable use.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="566" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66-1024x566.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-741698" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66-1024x566.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66-300x166.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66-768x425.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66-696x385.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66-1068x590.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66-760x420.png 760w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-66.png 1261w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h3><strong>50MP Sony Camera System</strong></h3>

<p>For photography, the TECNO POVA 8 5G features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera that is co-engineered with Sony for improved light capture and image quality. The camera also supports 2x lossless zoom, allowing users to get closer to subjects without a noticeable drop in detail. On the front, the device includes a 13MP selfie camera for video calls and social media content. TECNO further enhances the camera experience with AI LightMaster 2.0, which can reduce lens flares, reflections, and unwanted shadows in photos.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="570" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67-1024x570.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-741699" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67-1024x570.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67-300x167.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67-768x428.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67-696x388.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67-1068x595.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67-754x420.png 754w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/image-67.png 1246w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mediatek/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MediaTek</a> has quietly added a new chip to its mid-range lineup. The Dimensity 7100 is now listed on the company’s official website as a 5G chipset built on TSMC’s 6nm process.</p>

<p>At a basic level, the Dimensity 7100 follows a familiar formula. It features an eight-core CPU setup, comprising four Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 2.0 GHz.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/MediaTek-Dimensity-7100-launch-specs.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-721539" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/MediaTek-Dimensity-7100-launch-specs.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/MediaTek-Dimensity-7100-launch-specs-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/MediaTek-Dimensity-7100-launch-specs-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/MediaTek-Dimensity-7100-launch-specs-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/MediaTek-Dimensity-7100-launch-specs-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The setup isn’t significantly different from previous Dimensity 7000-series chips, but MediaTek claims users should experience faster app launches and smoother multitasking compared to older mid-range processors.</p>

<p>Graphics are handled by the Arm Mali-G610 GPU, which is up to 8 percent faster than the GPU found in the Dimensity 7050. </p>

<h2><strong>Dimensity 7100 is touted for efficiency&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>One of the bigger themes here is efficiency. MediaTek says the Dimensity 7100 is around 5 percent more power-efficient during app usage, up to 16 percent more efficient during multimedia playback, and up to 23 percent more efficient on the modem side. The integrated 3GPP Release 16 5G modem supports download speeds of up to 3.3Gbps and uses MediaTek’s UltraSave 3.0+ technology to reduce battery drain during extended 5G sessions.</p>

<p>The chip also checks the expected boxes for modern hardware support. It works with LPDDR5 RAM at speeds of up to 5500Mbps and supports UFS 3.1 storage. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. On the display side, the Dimensity 7100 supports 10-bit color depth and HDR video playback.</p>

<p>As for the optics, the chip supports sensors up to 200 megapixels, along with HDR imaging, multi-frame noise reduction, and hardware-accelerated face detection. According to the company, portrait detection and autofocus performance have seen notable improvements compared to previous generations, at least on paper.</p>

<p>There’s also support for 45W fast charging and the UFCS universal charging protocol, alongside a new power management system designed to work at lower voltages for slightly longer battery life.</p>
