On Sept. 22, Tecno will announce the Phantom V Flip 5G at a global launch event. It appears that it will not take long for the device to be released in India. The reason behind it is that Tecno India has already started teasing its arrival.

A microsite for the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is now available on Amazon. It confirms that the device will be “coming soon” to India. At present, it is unclear whether the device will debut this month or in October.

The microsite has also teased the design of the Phantom V Flip 5G. Currently, it only showcases the left side of the device, which features a SIM slot. There appears to be a bulge on the back panel of the device, which could be due to the presence of a round camera island, as seen in recent leaks. It appears that the brand will release a couple of more teasers to confirm some of its key specifications before making it official in the country.

In recent years, the trend of foldable smartphones has gained significant traction, despite their relatively high cost. Earlier this year, Tecno entered the foldable market with its inaugural device, the Phantom V Fold. Surprisingly, this offering was priced nearly 50% lower than competitors like the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Now, Tecno is preparing to introduce another product: the mid-range flip phone named Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G. Notable leak source Paras Guglani has revealed images and specifications of this upcoming device.

According to a recent article on Newzonly, insider Paras Guglani has unveiled the rendered images of the upcoming Phantom V Flip 5G. The design of the smartphone is particularly intriguing due to its unique approach to the cover display. Unlike the conventional separation of cameras and the display, Tecno has chosen to integrate a circular cover display, encircled by the camera ring.

Additionally, the report mentions that the smartphone will support a total of 14 different 5G bands. The initial teaser for the Phantom V Flip 5G is said to be released next month. Vivo has announced the Vivo S17 series of smartphones in China. The lineup has three phones, such as the Vivo S17, the Vivo S17t, and the Vivo S17 Pro. The S17 and S17t phones offer identical specifications and designs, but they differ mainly in the chipset department. Here is a look at everything that’s known about the S17 and S17t.

Now, the brand is apparently working on a clamshell smartphone that could undercut all other flip devices in the market.

Tecno Phantom V Yoga: Mid-range foldable?

The leaked images of the “Phantom V Yoga” suggest that it could feature a round camera hump that doubles as a secondary display, similar to the Huawei P50 Pocket. However, its FHD+ main display is rumored to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8050, indicating that it may target the mid-tier market rather than the premium segment.

In order to eliminate any confusion, MediaTek has simplified the naming convention for its Dimensity System on a Chip (SoC). The Dimensity 8050 is actually a renamed version of the Dimensity 1300 chipset, which comprises four high-performing Cortex-A78 cores – one Super Core that can reach a speed of up to 3GHz, and three Performance Cores that can reach a speed of up to 2.6Ghz. MediaTek has today announced a new mid-range processor, called Dimensity 8050. It is fabricated on a 6nm processor and features an octa-core CPU with four performance Arm Cortex-A78 processors having peak speeds of 3GHz. Although MediaTek markets it as a brand-new iteration, it’s similar to the Dimensity 1300 and 1200, architecturally. Dimensity 8050 comes supported with quad-channel memory and dual-channel UFS 3.1 storage.

It has four fast Cortex-A78 cores, which include a Super Core clocked at up to 3GHz, and three Performance Cores at up to 2.6Ghz. There are four efficient Cortex-A55 cores as well. As mentioned, the SoC supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The chipset boasts a powerful Arm Mali-G77 GPU with nine cores dedicated to graphics. Additionally, the Dimensity 8050 supports 4K video capture, enabling phones to take photos up to 200MP with 20% faster night photography than the previous Dimensity series. The SoC also offers manufacturers the flexibility to design smartphones with Full HD+ displays up to 168Hz or higher resolution QHD+ displays up to 90Hz. Moreover, the chip includes MediaTek MiraVision, which provides various HDR video playback and display technologies for a cinema-grade experience.

Infinix Note 30 VIP live shots, key specifications tipped, expected to launch by April end

Infinix is now working on the Infinix Note 30 series of smartphones. Reports have revealed the existence of as many as three phones, such as the Infinix Note 30i, Note 30, and Note 30 VIP. The VIP variant was recently spotted with model number X6710 in the Bluetooth SIG database last month. In a new leak, tipster Paras Guglanihas teamed up with NewzOnly to reveal more details about the VIP variant.

Following are the leaked images of the Infinix Note 30 VIP shared by the publication. As can be seen, the smartphone will arrive in at least black and blue colors. The device can be seen sporting a large camera island, which houses three cameras and an LED flash.

As per the leak, the Infinix Note 30 VIP’s screen will support a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. The screen will sport a punch-hole design, which will house a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The rear camera module of the phone will have a 108-megapixel primary camera. It will be accompanied by a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel camera. The device will run on the Android 13 OS, which will have the XOS skin on top.

The Infinix Note 30 VIP will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050, which is yet to go official. The device will ship with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of built-in storage. As it was revealed earlier, the VIP variant will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. In addition, the smartphone will also be equipped with JBL-powered speakers.

The Note 30 VIP is expected to launch by the end of April in India. It is unclear whether the Note 30 and Note 30i will also debut alongside it.
