During the festival season, the company managed to sell more than 6 million devices.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-435761 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/1-2.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi 11i" width="500" height="500" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/1-2.jpg 500w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/1-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/1-2-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/1-2-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></p>
<p>The Chinese tech giant is hosting its initial phase of its <em>‘</em>#DiwaliWithMi &#8211; Tech Ka Shubh Muhurat’ festive season sales. This sale began prior to the actual Diwali festival and offered discounts and deals for a wide range of products across the categories. This sale was hosted on the company&#8217;s official website and even offline channels as well, which helped the brand more than double their sales over the previous year.</p>
<p>Xiaomi saw its highest ever first phase sales thanks to devices like the Redmi Note 11, Redmi A1, Redmi 10, Xiaomi 11i series, Redmi Smart TV 32”, and Xiaomi Smart TV 5A 32 inch model that were popular during the sale and saw some of the highest sales as well. According to Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Xiaomi India &#8220;the festive season is a momentous occasion for us wherein we want to delight our consumers and make it a memorable one for our fans and partners alike&#8221;</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-455955 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Xiaomi-Smart-TV-5A-Featured-A.jpg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi Smart TV 5A" width="995" height="663" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Xiaomi-Smart-TV-5A-Featured-A.jpg 995w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Xiaomi-Smart-TV-5A-Featured-A-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Xiaomi-Smart-TV-5A-Featured-A-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Xiaomi-Smart-TV-5A-Featured-A-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Xiaomi-Smart-TV-5A-Featured-A-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 995px) 100vw, 995px" /></p>
<p>He further added that &#8220;With the kickstart of &#8216;Tech Ka Shubh Muhurat&#8217;, we continued to deliver attractive offers across our product portfolio, helping our consumers make informed decisions. Pushing the limits of mobile technology and setting industry standards, our smartphones have performed exceptionally well in the initial phase, thereby solidifying our position in 5G and overall smartphone portfolio. Xiaomi continued to be the most preferred Smart TV brand, on the back of the best hardware and software, at an incredibly great value.”</p>

All in all, the company recorded a 10x growth in the premium segment of above Rs. 20,000 when compared to last year. This has been made possible due to the ridiculously low rates offered as part of the ‘Diwali With Mi’ initiative.</p>
<p>The company only recently launched the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/15/xiaomi-11-lite-5g-ne-review-new-chip-better-battery-life/">Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE</a> and has been selling it for as low as ₹23,499 on Amazon, offers included. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/09/04/xiaomi-mi-11x-poco-f3-miui-12-5-enhanced-edition-update/">Xiaomi Mi 11X</a> has also seen major price cuts and currently sells at just ₹19,499 (again, offers included), which is down by over ₹10,000 from its regular rate of ₹29,999. A Snapdragon 870 chip paired with all of the other goodies that the device offers make it a must-buy.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-387967" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/mi-11x.jpg?x44794" alt="" width="757" height="721" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/mi-11x.jpg 757w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/mi-11x-300x286.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/mi-11x-696x663.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/mi-11x-441x420.jpg 441w" sizes="(max-width: 757px) 100vw, 757px" /></p>
<p>The aforementioned is only a part of the more premium segment though and Xiaomi has also been shining in the budget segment. Offerings like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/18/redmi-note-10s-cosmic-purple-color-will-go-on-sale-today-in-india/">Redmi Note 10S</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/08/31/redmi-note-10-pro-max-dark-nebula-india/">Redmi Note 10 Pro</a>, and Redmi 9 series in the mid and budget segment also have a major role to play in helping Xiaomi reach the 2 million mark.</p>
<p>In addition, the company also has hourly deals coupled with exciting quizzes and bundle offers for consumers to get their hands on.</p>
<p>Marking the occasion, Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Mi India said, “At Xiaomi India, our top priority is to enable &#8216;Innovation for everyone.&#8217; We thrive on offering products that are driven by technological innovation underpinned by great design that can help enhance the consumer’s product experience, lifestyle, and overall well-being. We are always focused on meeting our consumers’ and fans&#8217; expectations by offering innovative products across myriad other categories.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;We are extremely proud to see the amount of love, appreciation, and response that our fans and consumers continue to show us. Achieving such milestones helps us to push the boundaries of technological innovation and elevate the consumer&#8217;s smartphone experience with every product,” he added.</p>

As a result, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> India sold over 13 million devices.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-354979 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Xiaomi-India-Diwali-Festive-Season-2020-13-Million-Devices-.jpeg?x44794" alt="Xiaomi India Diwali Festive Season 2020 13 Million Devices" width="651" height="398" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Xiaomi-India-Diwali-Festive-Season-2020-13-Million-Devices-.jpeg 651w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Xiaomi-India-Diwali-Festive-Season-2020-13-Million-Devices--300x183.jpeg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 651px) 100vw, 651px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi is India’s largest smartphone and smart TV brand, as per all the leading research firms </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/30/samsung-leads-india-smartphone-shipments-q3-2020/"><span style="font-weight: 400">except Counterpoint Research</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. Though the company’s immediate competitors are Samsung and vivo, the largest threat is realme, which is the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/18/realme-is-the-worlds-fastest-smartphone-brand-to-hit-50-million-shipments/"><span style="font-weight: 400">fastest smartphone brand to hit 50 million shipments</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Hence, we feel like Xiaomi shared its achievement during Diwali sales just because realme did it yesterday. In case you have missed it, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/18/realme-sold-over-8-3-million-devices-in-30-days-during-the-festive-days-promo/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme sold over 8.3 million devices</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, which is obviously way less than Xiaomi’s 13 million number. But the company seems to feel insecure and for good reason as </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/realme/"><span style="font-weight: 400">realme</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> has been a force to reckon with since its inception.</span></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Having said that, let us take a look at the sales figure shared by Xiaomi </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Xiaomi/"><span style="font-weight: 400">India</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> in a press release.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to Xiaomi Data Center, the company registered its highest-ever sales by selling over 13 million devices. Out of which, over 9 million were smartphones. <p><span style="font-weight: 400">Further, the remaining 4 million units consisted of smart TVs, Mi Ecosystem products, and accessories. Out of this, 450K+ devices were smart TVs and other Home Entertainment products like</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/07/30/xiaomi-mi-tv-stick-review-portable-fully-functional-android-tv/"><span style="font-weight: 400"> Mi TV Stick</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/08/xiaomi-mi-box-launched-in-india-brings-4k-streaming-for-3499-inr-46/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Mi Box 4K</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, which were among the top-selling streaming devices across Amazon India and Flipkart.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Xiaomi says that the demand for 4K televisions was much more than last year and 50/55-inch TVs saw over 50% growth. That’s not all, the sales of Mi Air Purifiers increased by 100% and new products like Mi Watch Revolve and Mi Smart Speaker witnessed a great response from consumers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Last but not least, Mi Bands continued to be among the best-selling products in the fitness category, and ‘Made in India’ Mi Power Banks </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/03/xiaomi-has-sold-over-10-million-made-in-india-mi-power-banks/"><span style="font-weight: 400">hit 10 million sales</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> during this period.</span></p>

<p>The figure is a collation of all the sales across various platforms like Flipkart where the Flipkart Big Billion Day was held during the period of the Diwali promotions. Amazon also held the Amazon Great Indian Festival sales and on both online channels, Xiaomi is said to have emerged as the number 1 smartphone brand. Manu Jain also disclosed that the figures included those from mi.com and other offline retail channels. On Xiaomi&#8217;s own website, it sold over 1 million products.</p>

<p>The recent disclosure is a reflection of Xiaomi&#8217;s growing popularity in India. We&#8217;ll have to see how these figures translate into better standings for the tech giant on the global ranking. But it would no doubt move the company up the ladder when the final ranking is released at the end of the year. The Diwali sales details also revealed that the Redmi Note 4 was the highest selling smartphone during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale. The Redmi Note 4 has proven to be a very successful model in India despite not being as successful as the Redmi Note 3 in China. The model contributed significantly to the overall sales figure. IDC reports that the Redmi Note 4 is also India’s top-selling smartphone for three consecutive.</p>
