Last week, DIZO announced the DIZO GoPods D TWS earbuds and DIZO Wireless neckband in India. Today, the Realme sub-brand silently announced the DIZO Star 300 and DIZO Star 500 feature phones in India. Here is all the information on the specs, features, and pricing of the Star 300 and Star 500 handsets.

DIZO Star 300 and DIZO Star 500 specifications and features

The DIZO Star 300 has a 1.77-inch display and a 2,550mAh battery, whereas the DIZO Star 500 has a 2.8-inch screen and a 1,900mAh battery. Both phones support 5W charging.

The rear side of the Star 300 has a rectangle-shaped module, while the Star 500 has a textured back with a circular camera housing. Both modules have a 0.3-megapixel camera and an LED flash. On the connectivity front, they are equipped with a dual SIM slot with 2G connectivity, an external storage slot that supports up to 64GB of microSD card, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port.

Apart from English the Star 500 supports Indian languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telegu, and Kannada. The Star 300 supports a few more languages such as Bengali and Punjabi. The Star 500 and Star 300 other features like Bluetooth, alarm, calendar, sound recorder, files (file manager), FM radio, and music player. It is unclear whether the Star 300 supports Bluetooth connectivity. The Star 300 and 500 models offer 32MB of RAM and 32MB of storage.

The DIZO Star 300 is priced at Rs 1,299 (~$17) in India, and it comes in blue color. On the other hand, the Star 500 is priced at Rs 1,799 (~$24) and it comes in green.

Earlier this year, in the month of May, Realme announced its sub-brand Dizo as a TechLife ecosystem brand for AIoT devices. Now, the new brand has shared a teaser that hints that the company is gearing up to launch a mobile phone.

The poster shared by Dizo teases a mobile phone and not an AIoT device. Note that the phone isn’t clearly visible but a bit of editing reveals that it’s a feature phone with a circular island on the back panel for housing the camera module.

Earlier, an FCC listing had revealed two feature phones from the brand — Dizo Star 500 and Dizo Star 300. The Dizo Star 500 is expected to come with Dual SIM support, 2G connectivity, a microSD card slot, and a 1,830mAh battery.

Both these phones would carry the class T-9 Numpad without any selfie camera. The Dizo Star 500 will reportedly feature a larger screen compared to the Dizo Star 300. Other key specifications such as processor maker, camera specs, and operating system remain unclear but we expect to know more about them pretty soon.

Recently, Dizo showcased a few of its products in the Indian market, including ultra-affordable true-wireless earphones, wireless earphones with neckband style design, a trimmer, hairdryer, and more. Realme has also revealed that the Dizo sub-brand plans to launch around 100 products this year.

We expect the company to reveal more information about the product in question in the coming days. Since the promotion campaign has started, the device could be officially launched in a couple of weeks.

Realme’s sub-brand DIZO will be holding a launch event on July 1. It is speculated that the company may announce the first Dizo products such as DIZO GoPods, GoPods D, and DIZO Watch through the upcoming unveiling event. The company is also expected to announce DIZO Star 500 and Star 300 feature phones, which were recently certified by FCC. An unboxing video of the DIZO Star 300 feature phone has appeared on YouTube to reveal what to expect from the device.

Shown below is DIZO Star 300’s unboxing video by YouTuber Tech Jacky. Up front, the handset can be seen sporting a 4.5cm color display and a keymat. The rear side of the device has a large module at the top that houses a VGA camera and LED flash on the right side, and it has a loudspeaker on the left.

A big-sized DIZO branding can also be seen on the rear shell of the phone. The LED flash doubles up as a torch. For music lovers, it is equipped with an mp3 player and FM radio. The handset supports 8 languages.

The Star 300 is backed by a 2,550mAh battery that supports 5W charging. It offers 32 MB of RAM, 32 MB of internal storage, and a storage slot that supports up to 64 GB of microSD card. The device weighs 105 grams and measures 13.4mm in thickness.

DIZO Star 300 pricing (Rumored)

The device could be priced at Rs 1,499 (~$20). It may come in two colors like black and light violet.
