DJI has officially launched the Osmo Nano, a modular action camera designed for portable content creation and outdoor shooting. The camera features a dual-sided magnetic design that allows users to switch between selfie mode and forward-facing shooting instantly.

The camera weighs 52 grams and includes a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a 143° ultra-wide field of view. It supports video recording at up to 4K/60fps and can shoot slow-motion video at 4K/120fps. DJI also provides advanced stabilization modes such as RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonBalancing for smoother footage. The device supports 10-bit D-Log M color recording and offers a dynamic range of up to 13.5 stops.

DJI has equipped the Osmo Nano with a 530mAh internal battery and a 1,300mAh battery inside the included Multifunctional Vision Dock. The combined setup can record up to 200 minutes of 1080p video. The Vision Dock also supports fast charging, with the main camera reaching 80 percent charge in 20 minutes. DJI states the camera can shoot continuously at 4K/60fps for over 50 minutes in endurance mode.

The camera body is waterproof up to 10 meters without a housing. When attached to the Vision Dock, the setup offers IPX4 splash resistance. The device includes dual microphones for stereo audio and supports direct wireless connection with two microphone transmitters via DJI’s OsmoAudio system.

The 1.96-inch OLED touchscreen on the Vision Dock enables real-time preview and remote control. The Osmo Nano supports USB 3.1 for wired data transfer and Wi-Fi 6 for high-speed wireless transfers. The DJI Mimo app offers editing templates, filters, and motion overlays.

Pricing and Availability

DJI has confirmed that the Osmo Nano will not launch in the U.S. through official channels at this time. The camera is, however, available in Canada, the UK, and Europe through DJI’s online store and authorized retailers.

In Canada, the 64GB version is priced at $419 CAD, while the 128GB version costs $459 CAD. In the UK, both models are priced at £239 and £259. In China, the Osmo Nano is sold in two storage options, 64GB and 128GB, priced at 1,998 yuan and 2,298 yuan, respectively.

The Osmo Nano is DJI’s upcoming compact action camera that’s been floating around in rumors for quite a while. Its launch is set for September 23, but publication DroneXL spotted an early listing on an Australian retailer’s site, complete with a full spec sheet.

At the core of the Osmo Nano is a new 1/1.3-inch sensor capable of shooting 4K video at 60fps, or slowing things down with 4K/120fps recording. The dynamic range is rated at 13.5 stops, and there’s a 10-bit D-Log M color profile for those who want more flexibility in post-production. DJI is also adding a Super Night Scene mode for low-light shooting.

For action-packed shots, the Osmo Nano doesn’t skimp on stabilization. It comes with DJI’s familiar RockSteady 3.0 stabilization along with Horizon Balancing, both of which support 4K/60fps recording. The camera also has a 143-degree ultra-wide lens.

Moreover, DJI claims the cam can offer up to 200 minutes of 1080p recording, and with fast charging, you can reportedly reach 80 percent in just 20 minutes. Other useful touches include USB 3.1 high-speed transfer, microSD expansion, and waterproofing up to 10 meters without a case. With the optional Osmo Pod, the device is rated at IPX4 splash resistance, making it more versatile for outdoor shoots.

The Osmo Nano also has creator-friendly features, like gesture controls, pre-recording, quick switching between landscape and portrait, and live previewing. 

There’s even Wi-Fi 6 support for faster wireless transfers. On the audio side, DJI is offering a direct Osmo Audio connection with dual microphones, removing the need for a separate receiver.

As for pricing, the 64GB model is expected to cost €369, while the 128GB version will be priced at €399.

DJI has a packed September ahead, but a last-minute leak has stolen the spotlight from its much-rumored drone. Instead of the expected Mini 5 Pro teaser, a surprise appearance of the Osmo Nano — a new compact action camera — has tech watchers buzzing.

The company is lining up both a new Mini-series drone and the Osmo Nano for launch this month. The Mini 5 Pro is still tipped for a September 16 reveal, yet so far DJI has kept unusually quiet. That silence left room for leakers to step in.

YouTuber The Product Village briefly posted a clip showing the Osmo Nano, which was later reuploaded on X. The short video pointed to 128 GB of built-in storage and hinted at different accessory bundles — in line with DJI’s past strategy for its Action line. For context, the Action 2, the model this Nano seems to replace, is still selling for around $289 on Amazon.

Adding weight to the leak, Roland Quandt shared what appear to be official product renders of the Osmo Nano on Bluesky. The images reveal a slim, modular design, but key details such as camera specs and pricing remain under wraps.

What makes this timing more interesting is what hasn’t happened. DJI usually drops a teaser about a week before unveiling a new drone, yet with the Mini 5 Pro that moment hasn’t come. Despite sightings with influencers, the drone remains under wraps — leaving the Osmo Nano to grab headlines instead.

If the rumors hold, September could mark the Osmo Nano’s official debut, with the Mini 5 Pro following soon after. Either way, DJI seems ready to shake up both the drone and action cam markets once again.

DJI’s Osmo series could soon have a new member. According to leaked marketing materials shared by Hasper Ellens of DroneXL, the company is preparing to launch the DJI Osmo Nano, a compact action camera that looks set to succeed the DJI Action 2 from 2021.

The documents show a camera built around a two-part modular design. The main camera has been tagged on the top of a detachable module with a magnetic connection.

This module has an OLED touchscreen with HD resolution for live monitoring and controls, and it can charge the camera to 80% in just 20 minutes. It also houses an SD card slot for extra storage.

Osmo Nano features a flexible mounting system

What’s impressive is that the main camera can attach magnetically on multiple sides, both front and back, and even supports reversible polarity. That means creators could quickly flip orientation depending on whether they’re shooting selfies, group shots, or first-person footage. The Osmo Nano will have a 64GB or 128GB of built-in memory.

Accessories appear to be a big part of the Nano’s pitch. The leak shows a magnetic hat clip, a chest mount, a lanyard that can be worn under clothing for wearable filming, and a headband for first-person perspectives. 

DJI is also including a quick-release folding adapter that works with existing Action-series accessories, making it easier for users to bring older gear along.

As for pricing, the Osmo Nano will start at $369 / €369 for the 64GB model and $399 / €399 for the 128GB model. That puts it close to GoPro’s entry-level Hero offerings. 

Last but not least, Ellens claims the official launch is set for September 10, just ahead of the busy fall gadget season.
