Domino’s Pizza Inc., the world’s largest pizza company, is revolutionizing the delivery experience for its customers across the United States with the introduction of Domino‘s Pinpoint Delivery. This innovative technology allows customers to receive their favorite pizzas at virtually any location, even unconventional ones like parks, and baseball fields that don’t have a small residential address. With the Domino’s app, customers can simply select Domino’s Pinpoint Delivery, drop a pin on the map, and enjoy their pizza anywhere they desire.

Christopher Thomas-Moore, Domino’s senior vice president and chief digital officer, expressed pride in being the first quick-service restaurant brand in the U.S. to offer food delivery with the drop of a pin. He stated, “We’re always striving to make customers’ experiences even better and more convenient, and Domino’s Pinpoint Delivery does exactly that.”

Domino’s Pinpoint Delivery enables customers to receive their orders at countless hyper-local spots, even in the absence of a traditional address. The feature provides various benefits, including real-time order tracking through Domino’s Tracker, visibility of the driver’s GPS location, estimated time of arrival, and text alerts to keep customers informed about their delivery progress. To further enhance convenience, Domino’s will notify customers when their delivery expert arrives at the designated pickup spot. Customers can activate a visual signal on their phones to help the driver locate them easily.

Domino’s has been delivering pizza to homes around the world since 1960. The company usually uses motorcycles for this job. However, the company wants to try different solutions in the near future. Recently, the company has been testing autonomous vehicles and pavement robots for delivery. But before Domino’s robot delivery becomes commonplace, it could use an electric car.

More than 100 Bolt EVs are arriving at select franchise and corporate stores throughout the US this month, with another 700 due by the end of 2023.
