<p>The Display Supply Chain Consultants (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/dscc/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">DSCC</a>), a research firm specializing in display industry analysis, has released a comprehensive forecast report on the MicroLED market, projecting significant growth and market shifts by 2028. This report outlines the emerging trends and challenges in the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/MicroLED/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">MicroLED</a> display sector, highlighting its potential impact on various industries.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="585" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV-1024x585.jpg?x10805" alt="Smartwatch with SmartTV" class="wp-image-590760" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV-1024x585.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV-300x172.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV-768x439.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV-696x398.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV-1068x611.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV-735x420.jpg 735w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Smartwatch-with-TV.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h2>Emerging Dominance of MicroLED in Wearables</h2>

<p>MicroLED technology is set to revolutionize the display market with its superior attributes compared to conventional <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/led/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">LED</a> displays. Known for its energy efficiency, microLED displays significantly reduce the risk of burn-in and promise a longer lifespan. These displays are distinguished by their individual pixel light sources, which enable superior contrast, faster response times, and more vibrant colors. This makes microLED technology particularly suitable for devices where high-quality display performance is essential.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="723" height="487" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/MicroLED-display-DSCC-Report.webp?x10805" alt="MicroLED display DSCC Report" class="wp-image-590759" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/MicroLED-display-DSCC-Report.webp 723w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/MicroLED-display-DSCC-Report-300x202.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/MicroLED-display-DSCC-Report-696x469.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/MicroLED-display-DSCC-Report-624x420.webp 624w" sizes="(max-width: 723px) 100vw, 723px" /></figure></div>

<p>One of the key predictions in DSCC&#8217;s report is the expansion of the MicroLED market to $1.46 billion by 2028. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/06/21/samsung-lg-key-display-supplier-halts-lcd-development-focus-microled-and-oled/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">This growth is expected</a> to be driven primarily by its adoption in wearable devices like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/smartwatches/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">smartwatches</a>, AR glasses, and automotive displays. Wearables, in particular, are poised to benefit from the high brightness and efficiency of microLED displays. The smaller display sizes and lower pixel counts in these devices help mitigate the initial challenges of low production yields that have been a concern for larger displays.</p>

<p>Despite its potential, the MicroLED market faces some hurdles. The slow penetration of AR/VR applications and the risk of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/11/apple-watch-mini-led-display-delayed/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">delays in anticipated products like Apple&#8217;s MicroLED smartwatch</a> have led DSCC to adjust its forecasts slightly. The first MicroLED smartwatch, targeting the high-end market, is expected to launch next year, but the manufacturer remains undisclosed.</p>

<p>Apple is a key player in this evolving market. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/08/13/apple-watch-x-coming-next-year/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The company is expected to launch its first Apple Watch</a> (Ultra model) with a microLED screen in the fall of 2025, with mass production beginning in early 2026. Additionally, there are plans to upgrade <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-vision-pro/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple&#8217;s Vision Pro</a> headset <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/06/12/apple-vision-pro-lg-sony-micro-oled-display/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">from micro-OLED</a> to microLED technology. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/10/17/samsung-to-use-micro-led-on-smartwatches-could-debut-on-galaxy-watch-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung also plans to use Micro LED displays</a> in its smartwatches, potentially starting with the &#8220;Galaxy Watch Ultra,&#8221; aiming to replace OLED technology within a year.</p>

<p>There’s another good news for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple</a> as DSCC reports that the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2023/11/28/pro-models-in-iphone-15-series-are-getting-even-more-popular-hints-display-shipment/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone 15 series has seen a significant increase in panel shipments</a>, with a 16% growth compared to the iPhone 14 series and 21% compared to the iPhone 13 series. The iPhone 15 Pro models, especially in October, have become increasingly popular, securing a 71% share of total panel shipments. The higher starting price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max and consumer preference for higher-storage variants have driven a 5% increase in the Average Selling Price (ASP) for the iPhone 15 series. Samsung Display remains a major supplier, but LG Display and BOE have also entered the supply chain, contributing to the series&#8217; growing demand.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s been almost six months since the iPhone 14 lineup made its debut in September of last year, and it has been regarded as one of the best phones to purchase in 2023. As with any flagship launch, there was some controversy surrounding Apple&#8217;s decision to replace the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-13-mini/">iPhone 13 mini</a> with the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-14-plus/">iPhone 14 Plus</a>. The question on everyone&#8217;s mind was whether or not this was the right move for the tech giant. However, recent reports from Display Supply Chain Consultants (<a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/dscc">DSCC</a>) shed light on the panel shipments for the iPhone 14 series, giving us an idea of the relative commercial success of each model. The findings are definitely interesting.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="764" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--1024x764.jpg?x10805" alt="iPhone 14" class="wp-image-523947" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--1024x764.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--768x573.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--696x519.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--1068x797.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--563x420.jpg 563w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus--265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Apple-iPhone-14-Plus-.jpg 1507w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The first observation is that the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-14/">iPhone 14</a> lineup is slightly more popular than its predecessor, with a 2% increase in the year-on-year display shipments as of April. Second, it is not surprising that the Pro models are outperforming the regular ones, as this trend has been established over the years since Apple prices its newer models at the same price as its predecessors (usually). </p>

<p>Furthermore, the report suggests that revenue from this year&#8217;s lineup is likely to be higher as Apple sells even more high-end models at the expense of lower-end ones. Sales of the regular model are down by 36%, while those of the Pro and Pro Max have increased by 22% and 23%, respectively.</p>

<p>Interestingly, the report settles the &#8220;mini versus Plus&#8221; debate once and for all, revealing that the display shipments for the iPhone 14 Plus are up by 59% compared to the iPhone 13 mini. However, despite this surge, the iPhone 14 Plus is still the least popular model in the iPhone 14 lineup. The report concludes with a somewhat bleak forecast for the coming months leading up to the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/iphone-15">iPhone 15</a> announcement. Nevertheless, it is safe to say that Apple&#8217;s latest iPhones are a commercial success, given the results so far.</p>

<p>The smartphone market has been experiencing a remarkable surge in recent years, with the emergence of new technologies and innovative designs captivating consumers around the world. Among the most talked-about advancements is the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/foldable-smartphone">foldable smartphone</a>, which has seen steady growth in shipments over the past year. However, a recent report by Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) indicates a decline in sales during the fourth quarter of 2022.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1-1024x576.webp?x10805" alt="Foldable Smartphone Oppo" class="wp-image-519003" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1-1024x576.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1-300x169.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1-768x432.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1-696x392.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1-1068x601.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1-747x420.webp 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/OPPO-Find-N2-Flip-2-1536x864-1.webp 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>According to the report, foldable smartphone shipments fell by 48% compared to the previous quarter and 26% compared to the same period in 2021, with a total of 3.1 million units shipped from October to December 2022. Despite this setback, foldable phone shipments for the entire year rose by an impressive 62%, reaching 12.9 million units.</p>

<p>Samsung continued to dominate the foldable phone market in 2022, with an 83% market share. This was a slight dip from the third quarter&#8217;s 86% and a significant drop from the 96% share that the company held in the fourth quarter of 2021. The decline was attributed to a 50% drop in the shipment volume of the <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-fold-4/">Galaxy Z Fold 4</a> and<a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-z-flip-4/"> Galaxy Z Flip 4</a>, which were released during the previous quarter.</p>

<p>The report also noted that Apple&#8217;s recently released <a href="http://gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-14/">iPhone 14</a> series overshadowed Samsung&#8217;s foldable phones in the fourth quarter of 2022. <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/huawei/">Huawei</a> and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/oppo">Oppo</a> followed <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/samsung/">Samsung</a> in the global foldable phone market, while the Galaxy Z Flip was the top-selling foldable phone worldwide, with a 47% market share.</p>

<p>DSCC predicts a continued soft trend in foldable shipments during the current quarter, with a 3% decline in year-over-year deliveries of foldable handsets worldwide. However, this trend is expected to reverse in the second quarter of 2023, with the release of new foldable phones from Samsung and <a href="http://gizmochina.com/category/vivo">Vivo</a>. Additionally, Oppo and Vivo are set to launch clamshell models in more markets at more affordable prices later this year. DSCC anticipates total foldable shipments to surpass 17 million units worldwide in 2023.</p>

<p>Samsung Display remains the leading display supplier in the foldable phone market, responsible for 81% of foldable displays used in the fourth quarter of 2022, followed by Chinese supplier BOE at 17%. Despite this, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/dscc">DSCC</a> predicts Samsung will maintain or grow its share of foldable display shipments in 2023, with a forecasted growth of over 20 million units in the upcoming year.</p>

<p>In conclusion, while there was a dip in foldable phone sales in the fourth quarter of 2022, the market is expected to bounce back in the coming months, with new models set to be released by major manufacturers. The foldable phone market remains an exciting and rapidly evolving space that will undoubtedly continue to captivate consumers in the years to come.</p>

<p>In the latest development, Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) <a href="https://www.macrumors.com/2022/10/09/iphone-se-4-to-feature-6-1-inch-display-with-notch/">has revealed</a> what the upcoming iPhone SE model would feature in terms of display.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_489764" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-489764" style="width: 1200px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-489764 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors.jpg?x10805" alt="Apple iPhone SE 4 / Apple iPhone X" width="1200" height="630" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors-300x158.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors-1024x538.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors-768x403.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors-696x365.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors-1068x561.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Apple-iPhone-SE-4-Rumors-800x420.jpg 800w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-489764" class="wp-caption-text">Apple iPhone X</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>According to Ross Young, the Apple iPhone SE 4 will come with a 6.1-inch <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/lcd">LCD display</a> and will have a notch on top of the screen. He says that he has revised his expectations from what he previously suggested.</p>
<p>Earlier, he indicated that the next-generation iPhone SE could come with a display between 5.7-inch and 6.1-inch and feature a punch-hole cutout on top of the screen for the front-facing camera sensors.</p>
<p>It is not yet known if the notch of the upcoming iPhone SE will contain TrueDepth camera array for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/face-id">Face ID</a> feature similar to what other models in the lineup offer. There are some reports which indicate that Apple will stick with the Touch ID for SE model and not offer the Face ID feature.</p>
<p>There are also several reports which suggest that Apple is planning to add Touch ID Side button to the next-generation <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-iphone-se">iPhone SE</a> as there will not be much space on the front side of the device for a capacitive Touch ID Home button.</p>
<p>Since Apple has used design of the older iPhone models for the SE series phones, it appears that the iPhone SE 4 will be similar to the iPhone X in terms of design, which was launched around in five years ago.</p>

Similarly, CPT China reported a Net Profit despite an operating loss for the said quarter.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-202562" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/BOE-logo.jpg?x10805" alt="BOE logo" width="705" height="470" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/BOE-logo.jpg 705w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/BOE-logo-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 705px) 100vw, 705px" /></p>
<p>According to the report(via <a href="http://www.thelec.net/news/articleView.html?idxno=1921">TheElec</a>), the industry revenues for Display sit at $30.5 billion for Q3 2020. This is reportedly a 21% QoQ, and 11% YoY increase. Apparently, this is an all-time high since Q4 2017, and DSCC believes that an increase in <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/LCD-Panel">LCD TV panel</a> prices is the reason. In terms of revenue share, Samsung leads the pack yet again but Chinese companies like <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/BOE">BOE</a> and <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/CSOT">CSOT</a> managed to grab a place in the top 10. This development comes at a time when China&#8217;s display panel sales are <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/11/16/china-south-korea-display-panel-market/">expected to reach $42.5 million</a> in 2020.</p>
<p>In fact, BOE outperforms <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/LG-Display">LG display</a> in the overall revenue share to take the second spot. These two are the only non-Samsung companies to have double-digit shares. That said, the list has others like AUO, Innolux, CSOT, and Sharp who&#8217;s share percentages are between 5-8%. Besides, the Gross profits of display panels, as per the report, has grown 106% QoQ(Quarter over Quarter) from Q2.</p>
<p><figure id="attachment_356546" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-356546" style="width: 1400px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-356546 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/dscc-q3-2020-display-panel-revenue.png?x10805" alt="Q3 2020 Display Panel Revenue" width="1400" height="845" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/dscc-q3-2020-display-panel-revenue.png 1400w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/dscc-q3-2020-display-panel-revenue-300x181.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/dscc-q3-2020-display-panel-revenue-768x464.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/dscc-q3-2020-display-panel-revenue-1024x618.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/dscc-q3-2020-display-panel-revenue-696x420.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/dscc-q3-2020-display-panel-revenue-1068x645.png 1068w" sizes="(max-width: 1400px) 100vw, 1400px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-356546" class="wp-caption-text">Credit: DSCC</figcaption></figure></p>
<p>Precisely, the Gross profits(profit-making &amp; selling costs) of Q3 2020 are at $2.7 billion which is a 182% YoY(Year on Year) growth compared to 2019. Accordingly, every panel maker except <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/CPT-China">CPT China</a> reports positive gross margins in Q3. However, as mentioned earlier, CPT China reported a net profit albeit having operating loss.</p>
<p>That is, it gained close to $211 million by selling long term assets. This meant that the entire industry(except Samsung, CSOT, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Sharp-Display">Sharp</a>) posted a net profit of $545 million in Q3 2020. As per the report, this is a first after losses for seven consecutive quarters in the industry. Also in terms of area shipments, BOE is very close to LG with a shipment of 8.1 million square meters followed by Innolux, and CSOT.</p>
<p>In any case, China is trying hard to overpower the South Korean counterpart at least in the LCD segment. The recent acquisition of fabs by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/28/boe-acquires-cec-panda-lcd-strengthens-display-tech/">BOE</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/CSOT">CSOT</a> from CEC-Panda and Samsung respectively in China means it will likely have 28% of the World’s Large-sized panel capacity. As a result, it will probably hold <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/10/27/china-will-soon-hold-70-of-total-lcd-panel-production-capacity-in-the-world-report/">70% of Global LCD panels production</a> capacity soon.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The information about the upcoming iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 3 was </span><a href="https://twitter.com/DSCCRoss/status/1312013153547452418"><span style="font-weight: 400">shared</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> by Ross Young of DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants) on Twitter. These details come from his company as well as Mizuho Securities.</span></p>
<h2><strong>Apple iPhone 13 Specifications</strong></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">According to Ross’s tweets and a shared image, the iPhone 13 models will come with same-sized displays like the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/iPhone-12/"><span style="font-weight: 400">iPhone 12</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> devices. Also, all four phones in the forthcoming series will have integrated touch (Y-Octa) panels. The exact sizes of their panels are as listed below.</span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">iPhone 13 &#8211; 5.42-inch</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">iPhone 13 &#8211; 6.06-inch</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">iPhone 13 Pro &#8211; 6.06-inch</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400"><span style="font-weight: 400">iPhone 13 Pro Max &#8211; 6.67-inch</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Though all the models will have </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/OLED/"><span style="font-weight: 400">OLED</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> panels, their suppliers will be different. For instance, SDC (</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Samsung-Display/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Samsung Display</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> Co., Ltd.) will be supplying panels for Pro Max as well as the smaller model, which </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/09/25/apple-iphone-12-mini-could-be-the-name-of-the-5-4-inch-model/"><span style="font-weight: 400">could be called as Mini</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Whereas, LGD (</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/LG-Display/"><span style="font-weight: 400">LG Display</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">) will be providing panels for all the models except the top variant. Lastly, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/BOE/"><span style="font-weight: 400">BOE</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> will be supplying panels for the Pro and standard iPhone 13.</span></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Further, all of them will come with ProMotion technology (high refresh rate) but only the Pro Max model will feature LTPO for variable refresh rate like the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Galaxy Note20 Ultra</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">As for cameras, the regular iPhone 13 models (5.4”/6.1”) will come equipped with a dual-camera setup. The 1.7µm primary sensor on these devices will be the same one that will be debuting in iPhone 12 Pro Max.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">On the other hand, the two Pro models will be featuring a triple camera setup with an upgraded 1.9µm primary senor with SensorShift. These iPhones will also have ToF camera.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Lastly, all the four iPhone 13 series handsets will come with Face ID and therefore, we can also expect them to feature notch once again. Also, although all of them will be 5G-ready, only the Pro models will have support for mmWave.</span></p>
<h2><strong>Apple iPhone SE 3 Specifications</strong></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Apart from iPhone 13, the specs of iPhone SE 3 has also emerged. According to the report, this phone will be releasing in Spring 2022 and not next year.  It will sport a larger 6.06-inch in-cell LCD panel supplied by either Sharp or JDI, compared to the smaller 4.7-inch screen on the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-se-2020/"><span style="font-weight: 400">current-gen model</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Further, it will arrive with the same dual-camera setup as found on the </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/apple-iphone-11/"><span style="font-weight: 400">iPhone 11</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">. That means it will feature a 1.4µm primary sensor. Since it will be launching almost after one and a half years, it will include support for 5G but only sub-6GHz like the regular iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Most interestingly, it will come equipped with Touch ID (fingerprint sensor). We expect it to be either side or top mounted like the new iPad Air. Above all, it could be the first </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Apple/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Apple</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> iPhone with a full-screen display without a notch (speculation from our end).</span></p>
