French startup Éclair will soon unveil its AI-powered e-bike. The bike uses AI to predict the appropriate rider assist level for a seamless and natural ride. Éclair started business in 2021 and targets sustainability in its operations. The company sources all its production needs from France and neighboring European countries.

The new Éclair AI-powered e-bike will come with an array of tech features to underscore its artificial intelligence bent. The e-bike is yet to be named but is similar to the Smalo PX2 e-bike. The Smalo PX2 uses AI to learn the rider’s habits and adjust assistance automatically. The upcoming Éclair e-bike is made of steel and aluminum with a solid focus on low carbon emissions. It has a sporty frame that is as sturdy as it can get for rigorous trips. Éclair claims the e-bike is lightweight, easy to use, and tech-loaded.

The Éclair’s upcoming eponymous e-bike is designed for commuter purposes. The bike’s AI system learns based on the specific habits of the rider to provide assistance in sync with the rider’s riding pattern and terrain. The system is capable of predicting rider needs and eliminates the need to switch between ride modes. The AI system of the e-bike will also provide maximum power during starts for an easier and seamless launch. The Éclair’s AI-powered e-bike’s tech architecture is a culmination of Éclair’s collaboration with eBikeLabs for its eBike OS application.

The rider’s smartphone in the Éclair’s upcoming e-bike is used as a control screen for the bike. The bike thus omits a physical display on the top tube or handlebars. There are no release details yet for the Éclair e-bike. It is still under development but a big announcement is expected soon on the full specs and pricing of the bike.
