The Huawei P20 Pro was recently reported to have clinched an award as the best smartphone by Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) for 2018-2019 in the Mobile Devices category. It has emerged that the Honor 10 and Nokia 7 Plus also joined the P20 Pro aboard the honour roll call. While the P20 Pro was adjudged the best smartphone, the Honor 10 was voted the best lifestyle smartphone. The Nokia 7 Plus was rated as the best consumer smartphone.

The Honor 10’s emergence as the best lifestyle smartphone means two of Huawei’s smartphones were adjudged as best among equals and that is a testament to the company’s towering reputation. It also affirms that the company’s huge investment in R&D has started to yield fruit. The Honor 10 comes with a stunning design with amazing color schemes coupled with the processor having a dedicated NPPU for artificial intelligence features such as scene recognition. As a result of these features, the phone is judged to be the perfect lifestyle smartphone that can be used to capture every moment and places.

On its part, the Nokia 7 Plus best “Consumer Smartphone” award is as a result of its superb price to performance ratio. The device is a 6.0-inch FHD+ notch-less phablet that is powered by an SD660 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. It runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo and is pencilled for the upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie.

European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has just announced the award through the 2013-2014 EISA Awards on their official EISA website.

EISA award given to the best of the various categories that are taken based on the judging of 50 specialist magazines that are in 20 countries in Europe.

For Mobile Devices category, the EISA awards obtained by Harman Kardon Onyx, HTC, Huawei Ascend P6, the JVC HA-FXZ200, the Samsung GALAXY S4 Mini, and Sony Xperia Tablet Z.

While the Galaxy S4 won the Green Award as a green phone. Besides Samsung, several famous brands also won awards in various categories like Sony in the photo category, Panasonic, OPPO, Olympus and Philips in the other categories.
