It’s been a rather long wait for Elephone fans, since the bezel-less Elephone P9000 Edge is still a few weeks away from launch. First revealed back in January, recently we have been getting some interesting details about the device. We already know that the phone comes with dual cameras at the back, in fact, we saw the real life image of the P9000 Edge a few weeks back. But until now, the details of the dual camera setup were not available. That changes today.

Elephone has just revealed to us that the Elephone P9000 Edge will come with 2 x Sony IMX258 cameras at the back along with PDAF. Like other dual camera setups in the market, the primary camera sensor will take care of shooting the image while the secondary camera sensor will take care of the depth of field and spatial information in order to achieve accurate results with fast focus. So, naturally, this means the phone will support depth of field photography, which essentially blurs the background to bring the object in focus. Another advantage of the presence of dual cameras is said to be the improved night time photography. The two camera setup at the back reportedly helps in low-light conditions, reducing noise, spots and improving the overall image.

Well, we have seen dual camera-equipped smartphones sport the features mentioned above, but when a cheap Chinese phone claims to achieve the same features, it really makes the device sound a lot more interesting.

It seems like a long time since we first heard about the Elephone P9000 Edge smartphone. We have been waiting for this particular device for the past few months, and up till now, we only have been hearing tid bits about the device. A few days back, we came up with some of the specs of the Eleephone P9000 Edge model and now, we have a few more pictures as well as details about the device.

The new bezel-less model from Elephone is confirmed to come with the Helio X25 chipset, which is the overclocked version of the deca-core Helio X20. From benchmarks, we have seen that this chip is quite powerful for an everyday flagship. Up front, the phone will feature a bezel-less 5.7-inch JDI display with 2K resolution. The company is also using an all metal design on the device, so metal lovers will definitely be happy to hear this.

Apart from this, the Elephone P9000 Edge will come with speakers with ACC tech, which produces a similar effect as the iPhone 6S and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Further, the company seems to have given due importance to the camera at the back. The phone is said to come with dual cameras, with variable apertures and quick focus. The definition of photos will be reportedly improved by around 30%. Also, users will be able to choose a focal point after the image has been taken. There will be dual tone flash as well. Finally, the phone will come with a fingerprint enabled home button up front.

As for the versions, the P9000 Edge is supposed to come in at least two variants, one with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage and another with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Pricing is said to start at $250 for one of the versions, which should most likely be for the 4GB RAM version.

Elephone seems to be keeping the Elephone P9000 Edge version in the dark for the past few months. It’s with-bezel sibling, the Elephone P9000 was announced back in January, but we still haven’t heard much about this particular bezel-less version, at least not directly from the company. But now, Elephone has started confirming some of the specs of the upcoming Elephone P9000 Edge and now, we know for sure some of the specifications of the device.

First of all, the Elephone p9000 Edge is confirmed to come with a 5.7-inch JDI 2K display with high color saturation, and high color gamut. On paper, this seems to be an impressive screen, and with the bezel-less design, we sure hope that the phone looks beautiful from the front. Another important information revealed by the company is the home button based fingerprint sensor. So, you will find the sensor up front, just below the display. It is also confirmed that there will be a smart key on the side which can be used to switch modes.

The company also revealed some official renders of the P9000 Edge, which you will find above. These renders reveal some more details about the phone, like the presence of dual camera setup at the back. You will also find dual tone flash at the back, but unfortunately, we can’t find Laser Focus that was present on the P9000. Other things we can see in the render is a bottom placed USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack on top.

We are not quite sure whether Elephone is sticking with Helio P10 for its new edge version, but we should get more details about the device real soon. As for the release date, we still haven’t got that information. So, it looks like there’s still some time for the phone’s launch.

Elephone has been teasing its Elephone P9000 smartphone for quite some time. And today, the company has officially taken the wraps of the flagship Elephone P9000 Edge and the P9000. Both are top-end flagships featuring great specs and design. We were present at the Elephone event and here are all the details about the bezelless Elephone P9000 Edge.

The Elephone P9000 Edge comes with a bezelless display and is the best smartphone that the company has unveiled till date, featuring very powerful specifications.

First of all, the phone looks pretty good, with its gently curved edges and a metal frame the goes around the body. The back is plastic with a matte finish.

As for the specs, the phone comes with the MT6755 octa-core Helio P10 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The 5.5-inch display up front will be bezelless which really makes the device stand out from the crowd. You have a fingerprint sensor as well, and its located on the right side of the device.

As for the camera, the Elephone P9000 Edge comes with a powerful 21MP Sony IMX230 sensor and Laser AutoFocus at the back and an 8MP shooter up front. You will find a decent 3000mAh battery inside. It is said that the phone will charge from 0% to 100% in just 70 minutes, thanks to Quick Charge tech at 9V 2.5A.

The P9000 Edge comes with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box, with Elephone’s own customized skin on top. The phone also supports a number of new age connectivity features such as NFC, Wireless Charging, and USB Type-C port.

Elephone P9000 Edge will be available sometime in the coming months. Pricing is yet to be announced.
