Latest report says the Enjoy 7S will launch outside China as the Huawei PSmart.

The info was revealed by popular leaker Evan Blass (@Evleaks) on Twitter. For those who know Huawei well, you already know that it is fond of releasing the same phone under different names in various markets. One example is the Mate 10 Lite which is the Nova 2i in Malaysia, Maimang 6 in China, and Honor 9i in India.

The Huawei PSmart/Enjoy 7S has a 5.65” 18:9 FHD+ display. It is powered by the Kirin 659 processor like the Honor 7X and comes in 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variants.

The phone also has dual rear cameras in a 13MP + 2MP configuration. There is an 8MP camera in front for selfies.

The Huawei PSmart has Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, an audio jack, and a micro USB port. It packs a 3000mAh battery and runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

The Enjoy Series are exclusive to the Chinese market but have also launched in other markets under different names. An example is the Enjoy 7 Plus which is known as the Holly 4 Plus in India and the Huawei Y7 Prime in other markets.

The Enjoy 7s unlike its siblings – the Enjoy 7 and Enjoy 7 Plus, will have a full-screen display. The display is 5.65-inches and will have a resolution of 2160 x 1080.

The chipset of choice is the octa-core Kirin 659 chipset which has appeared in a number of Huawei and Honor Mid-range phones. Paired with the chip is 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of expandable storage.

The Enjoy 7s packs dual rear cameras in the 13MP + 2MP configuration and an 8MP sensor for selfies. The Enjoy series is known to have its fingerprint scanner on the rear and the 7s doesn’t break the tradition.

Huawei has included a 2900mAh battery to power the phone and will ship it with EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo.

Apart from the specs on TENAA, live images of the phone also showed up online. The bezels on the chin and forehead have been significantly reduced compared to that of its predecessors. The upper bezel is home to the front camera, earpiece and sensor while the lower bezel has the Huawei branding. The display is also covered with 2.5D glass.

The back of the phone is made of metal and plastic with a two tone finish. The larger area where the fingerprint scanner seats is the metallic part while the top and bottom areas where the cameras and antennas are is plastic. The Huawei Enjoy 7s will launch in gold, black, and blue.

The Enjoy 6S was released in December 2016 but didn’t go on sale until January this year. We presume the same will be done for the Enjoy 7s.

The smartphone has a model number of Huawei FIG-AL00. The TENAA listing for this phone does not contain any information on its specifications. However, the images of the phone found through TENAA listing reveal some of the key features of the unidentified Huawei phone.

The front view of the Huawei FIG-AL00 suggests that it features a larger screen with slim bezels around it. It is likely that it could be featuring an 18:9 aspect ratio display. The Huawei branding can be seen at the bottom bezel of the phone. The back panel of the phone features dual rear cameras placed at the top-left corner along with an LED flash. A fingerprint reader can be also seen on the rear panel of the FIG-AL00 phone.

Huawei smartphones that have model numbers ending with AL00 are not released outside of China. Hence, the unidentified Huawei phone is unlikely to leave China.

According to Chinese media, this smartphone may launch as an Huawei Enjoy 7S. Rumors have it that the smartphone is codenamed as “figo” and it has already received 3C certification in China which suggests that its arrival is close at hand. It is speculated to be driven by Snapdragon 4XX series chipset. The alleged Enjoy 7S is expected to debut in this month or early December.
