Samsung’s Aug. 5 Unpacked event is around a week away. The South Korean tech giant is expected to announce several devices including the Galaxy Watch3 smartwatch at the event. The rumor mill has already spilled plenty of information on its specs. Leaked press renders that have appeared in the recent weeks have revealed the appearance of the Watch3. Ahead of the Unpacked event, Winfuture.de has carried a detailed report on the specs of the Galaxy Watch3.

Samsung Galaxy Watch3 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Watch3 will be available in two variants and color combinations that take a cue from the Galaxy Note20 series. The 45mm Galaxy Watch3 will be available in black and gray colors whereas the 41mm edition will be initially available only in bronze color. The 45mm model has 41 x 42.5 x 11.3mm dimensions and the smaller 41mm variant measures 45 x 46.2 x 11.1mm.

The 45mm edition has a 1.4-inch screen whereas the 41mm model has a 1.2-inch display. Both feature AMOLED screens that produce 360 x 360 pixels. The screen of the Watch3 is protected by Gorilla Glass DX. The Watch 3 comes with rotatable bezels.

The Exynos 9110 chipset powers the Galaxy Watch 3. Both models support Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi. The smartwatch boots to Tizen OS 5.5. The SoC is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The Galaxy Watch 3 offers users with 8 GB of built-in storage. The LTE versions of the Watch3 can be used without pairing it with a smartphone. The device also supports NFC and GPS.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has an IP68 rated and MIL-STD-810G certified chassis.  The 45mm Galaxy Watch3 has a 247mAh battery, while the 41mm Galaxy Watch3 has a 340mAh battery. The smartwatch supports wireless charging. A single charge allows the smartwatch to last for up to 56 hours.

The Galaxy Watch 3 users can take advantage of as many as 39 different sport modes. It will come with support for electrocardiogram (ECG), heart rate tracking, and sleep monitoring. It can also detect increased stress levels.

After weeks of leaks, Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch in the U.S. It comes in two sizes and two styles. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 that is designed to withstand harsh conditions features a round-shaped AMOLED display and plenty of health-centric features including an electrocardiogram (ECG).

Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 Specifications and Features

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 exists in 40mm and 44mm sizes. It does not feature a rotatable bezel but features a virtual one. Also, the Watch Active 2 comes in two styles such as a casual edition that has an aluminum chassis and FKM wrist band and there is a premium version featuring stainless steel body along with a leather strap. On both versions, users can easily replace the existing strap with any 20mm band.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is an IP68 rated and MIL-STD 810G rated water-resistant and dustproof device that can remain unaffected from harsh climatic conditions. Also, it is swim-proof product since it comes with 5ATM water resistance. The display of the phone is shielded by Gorilla Glass DX+. The One UI allows users to create a customized watch that matches with the clothes of the user. To use it, one needs to take a photo of the outfit that he is wearing through My Style feature present in the Galaxy Wearables app.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 offers users with 39 workout option with different categories. It features an improved optical heart rate tracker with 8 LEDs for faster readings. The device also features an electrocardiogram (ECG). It also comes with Calm app for improving sleep through meditation programs. The device can also track stress levels.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 houses a S-AMOLED display that supports 360 x 360 pixels resolution. The 40mm device has a 1.2-icnh display whereas the 44mm model is fitted with a 1.4-inch screen. The Exynos 9110 chipset along with 768MB of RAM powers the Galaxy Watch Active 2. The LTE supported stainless steel edition of the smartwatch being a premium model has 1.5 GB of RAM.

The smartwatch runs on Tizen OS and comes with real-time voice and text languages. Samsung Health, Smart Things, Samsung Pay and Bixby are some of the features packed of the device. It can be used to launch camera on paired devices such Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 9 or Galaxy S10.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Price and Availability

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be up for pre-orders from Sept. 6 and its shipments will begin from Sept. 26.  The 40mm aluminum edition of the Watch Active 2 is priced at $279 and the 44mm variant carries a price tag of $299. Customers who pre-order the Watch Active 2 will be provided with Wireless Charger Portable Battery for free.

Samsung is yet to confirm the pricing of the stainless-steel edition of the Galaxy Watch Active 2. In the US, the smartwatch will be available through all the leading carries such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Version from Sept. 27.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch at the Feb. 20 Unpacked event through which it will be announcing the Galaxy S10 series. Today, SamMobile has shared vital information on the specs of the Galaxy Active smartwatch.

New report reveals that the Galaxy Watch Active is rumored to feature an AMOLED display of 1.1 inches that will carry support for 360 x 360 pixels resolution. The small display will not be featuring a rotatable bezel ring. It remains to be seen whether all the controls will be available on the small display of the device. It is expected arrive with a 236 mAh battery. The device is likely to arrive with a redesigned small-sized charging pad where the smartwatch can be positioned horizontally. The Galaxy S10 will be carrying support for reverse wireless charging. The S10 users can simply place the smartwatch flat on it for charging it wirelessly.

The publication claims that there won’t be a larger edition of the device. Recent reports have only confirmed on the existence of the SM-R500 model that is expected to hit the market as Galaxy Watch Active. The Gear Sport launched last year was also made available in a single variant.

The Galaxy Watch is expected to carry support for 50 ATM water-resistance like the Gear Sport. The Exynos 9110 chipset will be present under the hood of the device. It will be featuring an internal storage of 4 GB. The device runs on Tien OS. Unlike previous reports that claimed that the Galaxy Watch Active will carry support for LTE, fresh information reveals that it won’t be equipped with support for 3G or 4G connectivity. It will carry support for Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Galaxy Watch Active will be a thick-sized device since it is expected to measure 13mm. It is thicker than the Gear Sport which measures 11.6mm. There is no word on the pricing of the Galaxy Watch Active.
