Unlike other Chinese smartphone companies, Huawei is constantly looking to differentiate its devices in the market. It is one of the first mainstream companies to adopt dual camera design on multiple smartphone series in 2016. And to a considerable extent, its smartphone like the Huawei P9 and the Honor 8 have managed to get our attention.

Although the company released three major phones this year — the Huawei P9, Honor 8 and the Honor V8 — among other mid-rangers, there’s still a couple of powerful phones left in the lineup. One of these phones we’ll meet in September, probably the Mate S2, with the Mate 9 slated for late 2016 release.

Weibo Post Saying That the P10 will feature Front Fingerprint ID

However, rumors about the Huawei P10 smartphone have already started to come in. The latest rumor from Weibo reveals that the Huawei P10 will feature a front facing fingerprint sensor. If true, this would make the first major Huawei phone to feature a front-facing fingerprint sensor, as the company has been using a rear-mounted fingerprint design on all its recent smartphones. If you remember, another rumor had revealed the front fingerprint sensor design a couple of months ago.

If the sensor is up front, it also means that the phone will probably have a physical home button on the front as well. It would be interesting to see what home button design would Huawei use on the device.

Since this is a Weibo leak, we can’t be sure of its authenticity. So, make sure you take it with a pinch of salt. Only after we see a few renders or real images of the Huawei P10, will we be more certain of this claim.

This means that many of the pre-ordered units have already been shipped to its customers and there are many more shipments being delivered right now. Since users have started to get their hands on the first ever Vernee smartphone, the company wants to make sure that their experience is perfect. Now, Vernee has just released a new video via their official YouTube page showing users how to make the most out of the fingerprint sensor on the Vernee Thor smartphone. You can check out the video from down below.

What the video tries to tell the viewers is that the fingerprint recognition works well when you move your fingers and adjust your grip so that edges of your finger are recognized by the sensor at the back. This technique should help users unlock the phone much faster than before. And of course, there is the new OTA update (the first official one from the company) coming soon to further boost the unlocking speeds.

To recap, the Vernee Thor comes with the octa-core MT6753 processor with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage further expandable via MicroSD. The phone features a 13MP rear sensor, 5-inch HD Arc screen and a 2800mAh battery on board.

Vernee Thor is currently available to buy for a price tag of $119.99 via various retailers.

The highlight feature of the phone is the bezel-less 5.5-inch display on board. However, the phone is known for yet another unique feature, its side mounted fingerprint sensor. Today, the company decided to demonstrate the performance of Future’s fingerprint sensor. The placement of the scanner is ideal for many, near the power button. So, it’s easy to reach out and unlock the device whenever you need. You can check out the video from down below.

So, Ulefone admits that the fingerprint sensor on the Future isn’t the fastest one in the market, mainly because of the small surface area available. Since the available area is small, the sensor takes slightly more time to recognize the user’s fingerprint as compared to rivals. But the company adds that this is the latest generation sensor in the market, which means it is highly responsive.

Now that the flash sale is officially over, the Ulefone Future is available for pre-sale via a number of retailers for $239.99. You get seven different accessories bundled with the phone at this price. You can check out more details of the pre-sale of the device from here.

To recap, the Ulefone Future comes with a 2GHz octa-core Helio P10 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There will be a 3000mAh battery on board which charges within an hour, with stock Android 6.0 experience. At the back, the phone features a 16MP Samsung S5K3P3 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual tone LED flash. Up front, you get a 5MP selfie camera. Other features of the phone include USB Type-C, LTE etc.

You can read more about the phone from the company’s official website.

However, earlier today, we came across a new leak about one of its upcoming smartphones, the Kingzone K10. This is the first time we are hearing about this new device.

The Kingzone K10 seems to be a pretty well-built phone from the leaked image. It looks like the company is following the trend of slimming down the smartphone thickness, as the image shows that the phone will be super thin. From my guess, it could be around the 6mm mark, which will turn out to be thinner than most phones in the market today.

Another highlight of the device is going to be its all-metal body, which is clearly shown in the image. Metal is often considered as a premium material for smartphones, which is why it’s no surprise that more and more manufacturers are opting for metal over plastic for their phones. Further, the Kingzone K10 will be available in at least two colors, namely gold, and silver.

Apart from the good looks, the phone is said to come with a fingerprint sensor at the back. Unfortunately, we cannot see that in the picture above. Also, the screen is expected to be large around 5.5-inches which has become a standard among mid-rangers.

Overall, the Kingzone K10 looks like an interesting model from the company. Slim phone lovers will especially love the thin design and the metal body.

Unfortunately, at the moment, we have no other specs or release details about the device. However, we will keep you guys updated with more details in the coming days.

The phone features great specs for a price tag of just $179.99. It even comes with a fingerprint sensor on board. Now, in a video, the company has shown that the fingerprint ID on the Xtouch is a fraction of a second faster than the iPhone 6.

In the video, you can see that the user has tried to unlock iPhone 6, OnePlus 2 and the Bluboo Xtouch at the same time. Surprisingly, this cheap smartphone managed to beat both the devices when it comes to unlocking the phone with its home button based fingerprint sensor. The difference is only of a fraction of a second, which wouldn’t matter much in real life, but its still its good to see that a $179 smartphone can compete with these two devices.

As for the other specs, the Bluboo XTouch comes with a compact 5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D glass and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. In fact, in a video we had seen that the phone survived under stressful conditions. Under the hood, there’s the MT6753 octa-core chip along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Even the MicroSD slot is unique, since it can take two SIM cards as well as an MicroSD card at the same time.

The rear camera is the Sony IMX214 13MP sensor while up front, you get an 8MP shooter. There’s a 3050mAh battery on board powering these specs. As for software, the phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. The back cover of the device is also unique owing to its polygonal glossy texture, plus its printed using a 3D printer!

Overall a great value for money device. With great specs and fingerprint ID all for just $179.99, the XTouch turns out to be steal at this price.

The new Blackview smartphone is going to be the best device from the company till date, boasting high-end specs, enough to compete even with flagships from established makers.

The unnamed Blackview smartphone is said to come with a 5.5-inch 2K display. While we have seen a number of phones with such high resolution displays, it will be good to see a small Chinese manufacturer come up with such a powerful device. Under the hood, you will find MT6797 chipset, with enough power to handle any tasks that you throw at it. Also, the RAM is expected to be 4GB.

Camera department haven’t been the plus point of Chinese manufacturers, but that’s changing in the past few months. Even the new Blackview phone is expected to feature the powerful Sony IMX230 21MP sensor at the back. This will ensure that the pictures taken are comparable with other flagships in the market. Unfortunately, we have no clue about the front facing sensor at the moment.

Apart from these high-end specs, the new Blackview smartphone is also going to feature a unique fingerprint ID. Instead of the traditional home button integrated sensor or even a rear mounted one, the new flagship is reportedly using a unique display integrated fingerprint sensor. The company did not elaborate on the tech, but we hope to hear more about it soon.

Finally, the new Blackview flagship is going to release sometime in September. While there’s still a few weeks left before launch, we expect lot more details in the coming days. So, stay tuned.

Meanwhile, what do you think about the device till now? Could this be a flagship killer?

One of the interesting things revealed by these images is the presence of the physical home button. You can clearly see the oval shaped home button right below the display. It will also harbor the fingerprint ID sensor.

At the back, you can see that the placement of the camera unit is a bit lower than usual. There’s also the laser autofocus below the camera sensor. According to the camera review by MKBHD, this helped focus at tremendous speeds, in most cases less than a second. On the left side, you will also find a new button, which could be a customizable function key.

Unfortunately, the TENAA listing didn’t reveal much about the specifications. But then, we already know so much about the device, that it hardly makes any difference. We expect the OnePlus 2 to come in two variants. Inside, there will be Snapdragon 810 v2.1 on board (check out the recent AnTuTu benchmark!), 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 32GB storage, 13MP camera with Laser AF, USB Type-C port, 3300mAh battery and 5.5-inch 2K display. The price is confirmed to be below $450.

Its been more than a year since we saw the first flagship device from the company, and latest rumors indicate that we will get to see the handset sometime in July.

We already know that OnePlus Two will feature the new generation Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset under the hood. Along with this octa-core chip, the company has also confirmed the presence of the new age, USB Type-C port, the same one found on LeTV smartphones.

Now, the company has released a new teaser which reveals that the OnePlus Two will feature Fingerprint ID. Apparently, the sensor inside the ‘Two’ will be faster than Apple’s Touch ID. We still don’t know whether this is possible due to a better sensor or some software tweak, but it will definitely speed up the process of unlocking your smartphone. The company aims to make fingerprint ID a core feature of the device, so it may not just be limited to unlocking the phone.

Interestingly, the two main smartphones that are going to launch today namely the Meizu MX5 and the Huawei Honor 7 are both expected to come with fingerprint ID. It looks like mainstream smartphone manufacturers have finally decided to make fingerprint ID standard among flagship devices.

We will be covering both the launches which will start in a few hours. So, stay tuned for more updates.
