Since FE models launch a few months later, they typically come with a new OS and are therefore eligible to receive an extra major Android upgrade compared to their flagship siblings. As is usual for Samsung now, the Galaxy A07 comes with a promise of long software support. It will receive six major Android version updates, along with ongoing security updates.

Samsung Galaxy A07 Specifications

On the front, the Galaxy A07 5G features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1600), a 120Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of brightness. The panel uses a waterdrop notch design, which feels dated in 2026, but Samsung is fixated with this in the budget segment.

Powering the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. This gets paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The latter is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card, and Samsung includes dual physical SIM slots.

The phone runs Android 16 out of the box and runs on a large 6,000mAh battery. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP54-rated dust and water resistance, and standard connectivity options like USB-C, dual-band Wi-Fi, and 5G Sub-6 support.

Samsung’s usual launch cycle might look a little different heading into early 2026. The company typically announces its Galaxy S-series phones in January or early February, followed by A-series smartphones in March. However, this schedule has been affected due to the internal changes in the Galaxy S lineup. 

As you might know, Samsung was previously expected to introduce an S26 Edge to replace the S26 Plus. But after the S25 Edge underperformed in sales, the company has reportedly scrapped the S26 Edge altogether and brought the S26 Plus back into the roster — just much later in the process. 

This late pivot pushed back R&D timelines, which is why the Galaxy S26 lineup is now rumored to land in late February instead of the usual early-year window.

So while the Galaxy S26 series may arrive later than usual, Samsung seems to be filling the gap by moving its budget and mid-range launches forward. 

Galaxy A07, A37 and A57 all coming early next year

A new leak now suggests that the Galaxy A07 5G could launch later this month or in early January 2026. This would place it earlier than past entry-level Galaxy A0-series releases.

More interestingly, Samsung is also planning to launch the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 ahead of their normal schedule. These two models usually appear around March or April, but this time they are expected as early as February 2026. This change implies that Samsung may be trying to keep its product momentum steady while the flagship timeline adjusts.

The Galaxy A37 and A57 will bring incremental upgrades with new chipsets and the latest software. Both phones will ship with Android 16 out of the box. The Galaxy A57 is said to run on Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 processor, paired with the Xclipse 550 GPU. The Galaxy A37, meanwhile, will feature the Exynos 1480 chipset along with the Xclipse 530 GPU.
