Samsung has recently added a number of AI features to its new S series flagships. The company has also rolled out some of the features to a couple of older S and Z series devices. Now the latest news is that the company is going to offer Galaxy AI to its relatively affordable A series devices.

Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 may get some Galaxy AT features with One UI 6.1.1

According to a report from SamMobile, the company may add Galaxy AI to its A series, starting with a couple of 2024 models. The publication claims that Samsung will roll out some of the AI features to devices that have already been released this year. It could include the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35. Notably, users of the devices should not expect to get all the features that Galaxy AI has to offer.

As you may already know, some of the features run on the device, might not be compatible with the hardware of the Galaxy A series devices. Therefore, it’s not possible to implement those specific features the same way they are implemented on the flagships.

Speaking of the release timeline, there is no exact date available yet. It is only expected that the company will roll out the features with the One UI 6.1.1 update. Reportedly, Samsung has also delayed the One UI 7 beta and the reason is none other than the One UI 6.1.1 update. The company has already rolled out some new AI features to the sixth-generation foldables with One UI 6.1.1. Now it is assumed that the company is focusing on rolling out some of the features to other models that may include the Galaxy A55 and A35.

Finally, there’s no clear information about which specific features are compatible with the A series devices. Theoretically, the server-side features can be implemented on the devices. Nonetheless, it is ultimately Samsung’s decision how they choose to shape the A series for future devices.

The above-shown teaser is now showing on the Samsung Shop app in India. The teaser image of the upcoming A-series phone seems to match with the leaked renders of the Galaxy A55. The rumor mill has already leaked a lot of details about the Galaxy A55 and A35. Here is a look at what to expect from both phones.

According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy A55 may feature a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will feature the Exynos 1480 processor. It could come in configurations, such as 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.

The rear camera setup might include a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro lens, while the front camera could be a 32-megapixel shooter. A 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging support, IP67 water/dust resistance, Android 14, and One UI 6.0 might also be part of its features.

As for the Samsung Galaxy A35, it is rumored to sport a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and be powered by the Exynos 1380 chip, 6 GB / 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging, and One UI 6.0-based Android 14.

 The rear camera setup could include a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, it may feature a 13-megapixel selfie camera. A 5,000mAh battery with 15W wired charging support. Both smartphones are expected to feature an IP67-rated water and dust-resistant chassis, dual speakers, NFC, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

The A35 may come in shades, such as Lilac, Navy, Ice Blue, and Lemon, whereas the A55 may arrive in options, such as Navy, Ice Blue, White, and Purple.

New details about the Galaxy A35 5G continue to emerge; previously, we shared some specs of Galaxy A35 5G with you, and now a new leak reveals the upcoming color options of the phone. Samsung Galaxy A35 5G is coming in 4 different colors – Awesome Lilac, Awesome Navy, Awesome Ice Blue, and Awesome Lemon. The A34 also was offered with 4 colors but Samsung seems to have opted for some pastel colors this year.

Galaxy A35 colors & specs

Galaxy A55 is expected to be unveiled in Germany in March, and its sibling Galaxy A35, will likely be introduced around a similar time frame. In a recent article shared by YTECHB, new render images of the Galaxy A35 have been leaked alongside some specs.

The phone is IP67 certified, weighs 209 grams, and has an 8.2 mm thickness. The device has a sleek 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a punch-hole notch, and a 1080 x 2340 resolution. Exynos 1380 processor will be offered with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage, depending on the configuration and the phone packs a 5000 mAh battery. The phone will come pre-installed with One UI 6.1, which is based on Android 14.

The device has a triple-camera configuration on the back, featuring an f/1.8 50MP primary camera, an f/2.2 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and an f/2.4 5MP macro camera. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A35’s 4K video recording capabilities are limited to 30 frames per second. You are also able to record FHD videos at 30 FPS with the selfie camera.

While the upcoming A35 lacks huge improvements in comparison to the A34, the Galaxy A35 5G is nonetheless a little but sweet upgrade. The introduction of the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 is expected in the coming weeks, possibly in March. The starting price of Galaxy A35 might be around €379 in Europe.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 smartphones in multiple markets in Q1 of this year. The rumor mill has already leaked a lot of information about both smartphones. In a new X post, prominent leaker Evan Blass shared the leaked official renders of both smartphones to reiterate their design and color options.

In terms of design, both phones have almost identical designs, with a punch-hole display on the front and an LED-flash assisted triple camera unit on the back. It appears that both phones will come in three shades: Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy.

Samsung introduced the Key Island button design on the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 smartphones that debuted in December. In this design, the portion housing the volume rocker and the power key are slightly raised. The A35 is said to have a plastic bulid, while the company may have opted for a metallic construction for the A55.

The A-series phones are expected to ship with up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.

The A35 may feature a 13-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. On the other hand, the A55 will have a 32-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. Both models will run on One UI 6-based Android 14 and arrive with an IP67-rated chassis.

The South Korean tech giant’s upcoming Galaxy A35 5G was spotted on support pages in UAE and Philippines. Looking at the official websites, we can see that the device will carry the model number SM-A356E/DS. This basically confirms its availability in these two regions. The support pages went live as the Galaxy A35 surfaced in South Korea’s RRA certification platform. The database also offered us a proper first look at the device via live images.

The device features a flat rear panel along with a triple camera setup and LED flash module. Similarly, leaked renders revealed the front design with a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera. The Galaxy A35 5G is expected to sport a 6.6-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A GeekBench listing confirmed that it is equipped with the Exynos 1380 SoC that is paired with 6GB of RAM.

Samsung’s Galaxy A35 will likely run on the Android 14 OS based One UI custom skin out of the box. Recently, the Galaxy A35 was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification platform, which confirmed support for Bluetooth 5.3. A BIS listing suggested the Indian availability. Lastly, the FCC database confirmed NFC, 5G support, and an SD card slot.

Ahead of the anticipated Galaxy S24 launch, Samsung‘s A-series is also attracting attention with new renders surfacing online. The latest reveals are for the Samsung Galaxy A35, joining the A55 renders that appeared yesterday. These images offer a preview of the phone’s design and possible camera improvements. 

Samsung Galaxy A35 renders

The leaked renders showcase the A35 in three color options: Iceblue, Lilac, and Navy. They also reveal a design element shared with the A15 and A25 — the distinct “Key Island” bump on the right side, housing the power and volume buttons. Likewise, you can expect the phone to have rounded corners and a likely plastic frame.

On the back of the Galaxy A35, there’s a vertically arranged triple-camera setup with an LED flash, a common design in many Samsung phones. There are rumors that the main camera might be upgraded to 50MP, a step up from the A34’s 48MP. The other two cameras, possibly 8MP and 5MP, might stay the same.

A notable upgrade in the Galaxy A35 is its front design. Samsung has moved on from the U-shaped notch in the Galaxy A34 to a more modern punch-hole camera cutout. The screen bezels look slimmer as well, which is a nice improvement. However, the bottom bezel is still thicker than those on the other sides.

There are reports that the Galaxy A35 might have the same Exynos 1480 processor as the Galaxy A55. It’s also expected to keep its dust and water resistance (IP rating) and might have a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging capability.
