If you purchase the BookCover keyboard and switch to DeX mode, you get an Android device suited for office work.</p>
<p>What if you don&#8217;t like Android? Then you may want to wait for the Galaxy Book S, a computer powered by the same Snapdragon 855 chipset as the Tab S6 but which runs Windows 10. Ahead of its release, press renders of the device have surfaced on the web, thanks to Evan Blass.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-268022" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Galaxy-Book-S.jpg?x10805" alt="Galaxy Book S" width="964" height="1512" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Galaxy-Book-S.jpg 964w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Galaxy-Book-S-191x300.jpg 191w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Galaxy-Book-S-768x1205.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Galaxy-Book-S-653x1024.jpg 653w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Galaxy-Book-S-696x1092.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Galaxy-Book-S-268x420.jpg 268w" sizes="(max-width: 964px) 100vw, 964px" /></p>
<p>Initially, we thought the Galaxy Book S will be a 2-in-1, but these pictures show that is not the case. The screen isn&#8217;t detachable as you can see. We also can&#8217;t confirm if it supports touch input and stylus input as there is no S Pen in the photo.</p>
<p>The Galaxy S Book has a full-sized QWERTY keyboard and a moderately-sized touchpad. The screen has slim bezels on the sides and the top. On the left side of the computer are a USB-C port and what appears to be an audio jack. The picture doesn&#8217;t show the right side of the device.</p>
<p>The Galaxy Book S doesn&#8217;t have a release date yet but it may not be far off. Geekbench revealed it will have 8GB of RAM and its Bluetooth certification says it has Bluetooth 5.0.</p>

It appears a successor is coming this year and it will launch as the Galaxy Book S.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266321" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S.jpg?x10805" alt="Galaxy Book S" width="609" height="67" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S.jpg 609w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-300x33.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 609px) 100vw, 609px" /></p>
<p>The name was confirmed in a leak by Evan Blass yesterday but the device was already in the news before then. It turns out that a device with the name “Galaxy Space” was seen on Geekbench recently. It is believed that the “S” in the name Galaxy Book S stands for Space.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266323" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Space-Geekbench.png?x10805" alt="Galaxy Space Geekbench" width="612" height="739" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Space-Geekbench.png 612w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Space-Geekbench-248x300.png 248w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Space-Geekbench-348x420.png 348w" sizes="(max-width: 612px) 100vw, 612px" /></p>
<p>The benchmark result showed the device runs Windows 10 and has 8GB of RAM. There is also an octa-core processor clocked at 2.84GHz.</p>
<p>Apart from the Geekbench sighting, the device was also spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website but this time as the Galaxy Book S. It has Bluetooth 5.0 and its model number is revealed to be SM-W767.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-266322" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-Bluetooth-SIG.png?x10805" alt="Galaxy Book S Bluetooth SIG" width="1240" height="403" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-Bluetooth-SIG.png 1240w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-Bluetooth-SIG-300x98.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-Bluetooth-SIG-768x250.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-Bluetooth-SIG-1024x333.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-Bluetooth-SIG-696x226.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Galaxy-Book-S-Bluetooth-SIG-1068x347.png 1068w" sizes="(max-width: 1240px) 100vw, 1240px" /></p>
<p>The Galaxy Book S is believed to have a 2-in-1 design like the Galaxy Book 2. It should have a touch display (Super AMOLED), a detachable keyboard, and also an S Pen. It should also have an LTE modem.</p>
<p>There is no info on its release date yet but seeing as it has already received Bluetooth certification, a launch date may be around the corner. However, <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/samsung">Samsung</a> may begin selling it at a much later date.</p>
